More details on the PAC Chrysler Radio Replacement Interface
Overview: The PAC C2R-CHY3 Radio Replacement Interface allows easy connection of an aftermarket stereo or navigation system for select Chrysler vehicles; please see "Outfit My Car" to confirm compatibility. This interface provides connections for the new radio's power, illumination, and speaker leads, as well as reverse trigger, VSS, and parking brake wires for navigation and video systems. If your vehicle has steering wheel controls (and the aftermarket radio is compatible) they can be integrated using the optional SWI-CAN2 interface and either the optional SWI-X (aftermarket radios with an IR remote that operates on a 38-40khz frequency), SWI-JACK (for JVC/Alpine/Kenwood/Clarion radio's with a wired remote input), SWI-PS (for Pioneer/Sony radios), or SWI-ECL (for Eclipse radios). The C2R-CHY3 also will turn on the factory data controlled amplifier if equipped.
Fader: When a factory amplifier is present, only two speaker connections are made and the new radio cannot control the fader (front to rear). The C2R-CHY3 sets the fader to the center position.
