Easy, just plug it in!
Crutchfield customer from Water Valley, MS on 11/11/2019
This is the easiest and best option for rear entertainment. It was plug and play with my new head unit. It seemlessly integrated my head unit with the existing flip down rear monitor and rear controls.
Pros: Compact enough for limited space applications. Plug and play. High quality and durable.
Cons: Price seemed a little higher than other option, but I had to go with PAC.

Easy, Plug and Play

When upgrading to an aftermarket DVD deck in my Tahoe, I thought I would definitely lose the usage of the stock rear monitor. I was told about this wiring harness that enables you to keep the Panasonic screen. I ordered and harness came within two days with FREE SHIPPING to HAWAII!! Installed over weekend and took only minutes. It is basically plugging A/V plugs into aftermarket deck and plugging harness to existing for the rear screen unit. A MUST for those who want to retain the usage of the rear screen. My kids LOVE it and are happy.
Pros: None
Cons: So simple, pretty much anyone could install.

Mission accomplished! Rear DVD/headphones on
Tyler from San Diego, CA on 6/19/2009
This part was installed in a 2008 Cadillac Escalade. This vehicle started with the AM/FM/CD/DVD player in dash with no navigation. In essence, the rear DVD player was just a monitor with integrated IR headphones. I installed a Kenwood DNX6140 in this vehicle which has dual output capability. After installing the new head unit and the factory adaptors the rear DVD screen would get power, but no picture/no IR headphones. The awesome team at Crutchfield (huge props to Grant!) found this new part and sent it to me. It works great. The rear monitor is now working as are the headphones. Two important notes for this part. The first is that I only used one of the two output connections on this part. You could use this same part to control to rear monitors instead of one. Secondly, This part allows you to retain the rear console inputs IF your head unit has enough aux inputs. I was not able to retain the rear aux inputs as there wasn't another AV/Audio input available on the head unit. Be sure to check your head unit out to ensure it will have enough inputs if you want to retain the rear console inputs. Lastly, the 4 out of 5 stars is due only to the limited instructions that come with the part. PAC does a great job but better illustrations and instructions would have helped.
