Overview

Our take on the Pioneer MVH-200EX

Easier management of music sources, album art with plentiful metadata, and video display for a backup cam — these are just a few reasons to add Pioneer's MVH-200EX touchscreen receiver to your dash. But if you haven't yet experienced Bluetooth® hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming in your vehicle, that's the clincher for choosing this great-sounding stereo.

Change your drive with a touchscreen

Easier management of music sources, album art with plentiful metadata, and video display for a backup cam — these are just a few reasons to add Pioneer's MVH-200EX touchscreen receiver to your dash. But if you haven't yet experienced Bluetooth® hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming in your vehicle, that's the clincher for choosing this great-sounding stereo.

Bring on Bluetooth

Save yourself from fiddling with your phone while you're on the road. Bluetooth lets you enjoy safe, smart hands-free calling, plus you can access the media on your smartphone. Choose from tracks in your digital library or stream audio like podcasts, all without messing around with aux inputs and cables. You can also control your tunes using the 6.2" touchscreen.

Expand your choices

Got a rare library of songs on an old device? Plug it into the AUX input, or connect your iPod®, iPhone® or other device to the USB input. Pioneer also gives you control from the MVH-200EX over compatible Android devices, even displaying metadata such as track, artist, and album name when it's available. While the car is parked and the parking brake is engaged, you can view video from an outboard video player or that's stored on a USB drive. You can also send the video to rear seat screens (sold separately) so your passengers will have something to watch while you drive.

13-band equalizer

All your digital music will sound superb on the MVH-200EX, thanks to a high-performance digital-to-analog converter and a powerful amplifier. The 13-band equalizer brings out the best in any genre of music, and if you want to bring even more punch to your system, you can connect an amp or powered sub to the three sets of preamp outputs. Tweak to your heart's delight with time alignment, high- and low-pass filters, and subwoofer control.

What's your color?

Choose from 112 different colors to match unit illumination to your vehicle's interior lighting and give your new stereo a factory feel.

Add a backup cam

You can also connect a rear-view camera to the MVH-200EX — a great solution if you have a big SUV or any vehicle with complicated sightlines.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and radio, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

Smartphone note: If you're going to use your smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.

simple and works great! lots of color options for the button lights. easy to match factory lighting. pretty straight forward install with included crutchfield harness and instructions. their support line is super helpful if you get stuck on any step.

Pros: simple. it works. does not feel cheap. compatible with axxess steering wheel control adapter.

Cons: only thing to consider is that it doesn't have a knob for volume adjustment. it's just a volume up and down button which can be annoying if you don't have steering wheel controls.

    Great upgrade from stock!

    2007 Honda Fit Sport
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The MVH-200EX was a very nice upgrade from the stock head unit of my '07 Honda Fit Sport. I was looking for Bluetooth & iPod control in an entry level touch screen receiver, and this Pioneer fits the bill. Install was pretty straightforward with the Crutchfield documentation. The Crutchfield install kit was a fantastic deal when purchased with the receiver. The Metra dash kit, wiring harness and antenna adapter made things plug & play. Removing the stock receiver was the most difficult part of the installation. The USB and AUX ports are only in the back. This is good for those who like a clean install with minimal wiring but not so good for those looking for simple plug & play for their devices. The Honda Fit Sport has a stock AUX port in the center console that I plan to eventually custom connect. Not a priority, as Bluetooth and USB is almost always preferred connection in my case. No printed owner's manual is in the box but can be found online @ www.pioneerelectronics.com. Just search for the model number.

Pros: Great features & value Can select different colors to match dash lighting. The blue matches the Honda Fit perfectly.

Cons: Album art displayed is sometimes delayed and shows the last song rather than the current song.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a nice stereo! Sure, there are stereos w/ more bells and whistles, but for the price, this thing is a diamond. It can be a little tricky to wire, if you don't know what you're doing. If you're looking for a good stereo to run usb or bluetooth, this is it. Great upgrade from a stock stereo.

Pros: Lots of features for the price Easy to navigate the touch screen

Cons: hook up for the antena was different than what was shipped. Plastic mounting brackets are a little flimsy, but they work.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So far I'm impressed with the Pioneer MVH-220EX. The installation went very smoothly. I installed the unit in a 2006 Mazda 6 with the Bose stereo. I replaced the speakers with JBL units few years ago (but kept the Bose amp). The Pioneer head unit integrated well and actually made the speakers sound better (still using the Bose amp). The unit's functions are pretty intuitive and the setup was quick; although the instruction manual was lacking in detail. The manual described the wiring connections fine, but didn't describe the head unit's functionality very well. For the price, I think this is a good unit.

Pros: Great head unit, lots of connection options, powers speakers well, intuitive use.

Cons: Instruction manual is lacking when it comes to describing the functionality.

On my 2nd unit. Returned the 1st after the screen would randomly go black and still play music. Reset would only work for a day or two. Happened every week or two for the first month. Returned to Crutchfield and they sent a replacement quickly. However, the replacement is doing the exact same thing after only being installed for 3 days.

    Pros: Good when it works

Cons: On my 2nd unit. Returned the 1st after the screen would randomly go black and still play music. Reset would only work for a day or two. Happened every week or two for the first month. The Pioneer unit is very user friendly. It has several useful features. I like it's function with Bluetooth, display, and overall sound and look. I would give it 4.75 stars because it doesn't provide a front panel input. A front panel input needed along with the rear for a media player.

Pros: Sound, user friendly, and looks

Cons: Lack of front panel input

    2011 Nissan Rogue
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very good product. I was looking for something compatible with my Nissan Rogue 2011 which factory stereo started to die. And found this Pioneer. I have chosen this one because it does not play CD ( I do not listen CD for many years, only music from USB stick or phone anyway) and has all other compatible features for my Rogue - including rear view camera, Bluetooth and USB. In the beginning I was slightly disappointed while chatting with Crutchfield representative and was told that camera will not work with my car. But they were wrong - I found a special adapter from Axxess for Nissan and it fixed the problem. Now everything is installed and works - including camera, USB, Bluetooth and even steering wheel buttons. You will definitely need to buy all adapters suggested by Crutchfield plus the one from Axxess (if you want camera). If you have all of this installation is pretty easy. The only time consuming thing is installing bluetooth by-pass connector because in my case factory installed Bluetooth module was behind the trim in the truck what is not easy to rich.

Pros: price, easy to use, a lot of features.

Cons: Installation requires several adapters to buy

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this to put in a 2017 Ford Transit Connect. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. I have it hooked up to an aftermarket camera which I also purchased from Crutchfield. My only issue is that when I plug my Samsung Galaxy phone into the USB it doesn't connect. I think that's more of Samsung's issue than Pioneers though. It was delivered super quick. I had a couple questions about it and the tech guys gave me great advice. I will always buy my electronics from Crutchfield.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Ordered the Pioneer MVH-200EX 6 months ago as a gift. Paid additional $$ to have this unit prewired. Followed the instructions and installed the stereo myself. Months later I am having an issue where the Bluetooth memory is full and I am not able to access the settings in the menu. Tech support told me that I did not connect the parking brake wire. He added that this was in the instructions. Reviewed the instructions that were sent to me again, no mention of connecting the parking brake wire. Besides, I paid Crutchfield to pre-connect the wires for me. End result is Bluetooth is not functioning and I am looking forward to spending my next day off correcting this preventable mistake. Very disappointed.

    Pros:

Cons: Bluetooth does not work without parking brake wire being connected

Installed this unit in my 04 4Runner. Had Crutchfield prewire the harness along with volume/channel application (saves a lot of time). This Pioneer is simply amazing for the price, connects quickly to my phone, calls are clear an wife says sounds great on her end. Audio stream is excellent and the stock speakers have really woken up. Multiple functions to adjust your sound, several preset and two custom. The Equalizer is awesome, played with it and Im awestruck at the sound. Cant speak for USB, havent used it, radio is also very nice, no matter what your music source is screen shows song, album and artist. Time, date displayed. Highly recommend! Its a simple unit to figure out. Thanks to Buster and Crutchfield for their recommendations and support. This is my third order from them and I have never been dissapointed.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a fantastic receiver. The install was typical like any other, no special considerations. The sound quality is fantastic with a very nice EQ. The microphone sounds good through phone calls, the interface is clean and very easy to use. One thing that really surprised me is how responsive the UI is. A common problem with cheaper receivers is they are not terribly responsive, but this one navigates effortlessly through all menus very quickly and the Bluetooth connects almost immediately to my wife's iPhone. It's also a very nice looking unit. Highly recommended.

Pros: Sound quality Ease of use Speed/Performance Nice looking unit

    Cons: None as yet

Sounds great, but the Bluetooth is terrible.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bluetooth on this unit is garbage. It takes about 60-90 seconds for it to connect to your phone every time you get in. It takes several minutes for the hands free Bluetooth call option to be available. It loses connection and has frequent issues where it won't plah sound through Bluetooth. My old unit was about $60 brand new and connected to Bluetooth instantly. This is what it is, a cheap unit. Aside from the Bluetooth issues and the album art being a song behind when connecting direct to usb, the unit sounds great. However, with Bluetooth being the main function I planned to use, I'm not very happy with this unit.

Pros: Sounds great, customizable eq is great, it looks awesome.

Cons: Bluetooth is very very slow and buggy, usb is buggy

Didn't even have to get new speakers, the old factory ones sound great with this new receiver. The Bluetooth audio sounds great. The external mic for the Bluetooth phone calls sounds awesome too!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

A nice upgrade for an aging Toyota Tundra (2004). The installation process was a bit more complicated due to the JBL bypass. Routing the giant snake of a wiring harness from behind the rear passenger seat, under the left floor rails, to up behind the dash took some time. I solder/heat shrink all connections, so that adds some time too. But this is not a fault of the Pioneer MVH-200EX. One day later I am initially satisfied with the receiver. The boot time is much faster than I had expected, as is the responsiveness of the buttons and touch screen. Bluetooth connects quickly (I tried with both an Apple and a Samsung device). Of note is that the parking brake lead must be connected (or the wire must be grounded) in order to activate a new Bluetooth connection. Music quality through BT was great. I heard no issues. In fact the 14 year old stock speakers have never sounded better. The graphic equalizer is also very nice for a basic receiver. I will be adding a rear camera today, along with installing the microphone. I have not yet tested out the USB connectivity so I cannot speak to the performance there.

Pros: Fast boot time, quick button/screen response, great BT operation, above average EQ for this price point, decent sound.

Cons: No video streaming through BT (or at all). But that's asking a bit much for a sub-$200 receiver.

For the price you can not go wrong! The Pioneer MVH=200EX is packed with features for a budget double din deck. They even included the build in equalizer that is in higher end models in this! Also a microphone comes with it, so you don't have to rely on your phone's microphone when having a bluetooth conversation. That is a plus! It's absoloutley bang for your buck. Setup was also easy with the ready harness from Crutchfield. It was simple as removing the old head unit, unplugging all the cables and plugging it in to the Pioneer MVH-200EX and mounting it back. The staff is also very helpful, and always willing to help you in anyway they can! Will recommend this headunit to anyone, great buy for the price!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The installation was pretty straight forward and it works well enough if you're not really wanting to use a USB. The bluetooth controls on the head unit work well and can control the phone well enough. In the past I've used a thumb drive for all of my music (16gb) and the file sorting and random shuffle on this deck is awful. First, when loading new music onto a thumb drive, the receiver does not sort alphabetically by file name, or date created, or modified. I actually couldn't unravel the mystery of how the files are sorted, but not that I could search for them anyway, as apparently this unit has no file search feature. Second, if you want to shuffle play forget it. The random shuffle works like this: track#1, #23, #1, #12, #1, #2, #3, #4... the only way to get it to shuffle correctly is to push the file shuffle Icon and select next. then turn off the shuffle Icon, and then select again and then push next. that is the only way to make the shuffle function work as it should long story short. time to upgrade the SD card in my phone and move away from the thumb drive that I used in my stock stereo.

Pros: Bluetooth is great, easy to install. looks good, sounds good.

Cons: USB function is horrible, no file sorting, random shuffle is garbage

Great update for an older double din factory unit. Pioneer sound rendering is second to none in the industry and has all the features needed for general listening -and more! Super Bargain unit! Needs a better instruction set for wire designations and what they actually do with the unit. Such as Reverse wire - they should tell you not to connect it unless you intend on using a backup cam. And the VSS wire for auto volume control had no designation to the factory harness and would be a desirable feature to have back. Also, the illumination wire explanation is confusing - I connected per instructions and it doesn't do anything. Does this unit Dim with the das lights?

Great sound and intuitive controls. I'm particularly fond of the crossover settings. There is adjustability that I haven't found on previous pioneer stereos. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is due to the lower resolution screen. I might be spoiled by phones nowadays, but it would be nice to see a really high resolution screen even towards the low/mid-range stereos.

Perfect price and function for our needs. Wife will be selling the car in the next year or so, but I really wanted her to have the convenience and safety of a Bluetooth connection. My greatest surprise came with Crutchfield's service. I was able to talk to an expert to help find a better stereo than the one I was looking at originally. Then the installation information helped me get everything hooked up. I was also able to connect with the help line a couple times (only needed to wait about 5 min or less each time) while installing. They talked me through the points I was stuck at and also sent very detailed pictures over email so I could see what they were talking about. I also strongly recommend getting the ready harness service. It is very much worth the money to save that time and frustration. The only drawback was that I could not get tapped into the parking break. My hands were just too big to get deep into the fuse box and don't work. The unit still works fine, but there are a few settings that I won't be able to access until I get a professional to fix it.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I actually ended up ordering two of these, one for my 2000 Toyota Tundra and another for my 2006 Avalon. Georgia recently passed a hands free law so needed to upgrade our systems. The Tundra was a breeze in that it required no alteration of the dash. I ordered the Ready Harness which I highly recommend. The Avalon required a lot more work as you had to modify the opening by cutting out a plastic part. Also, I initially put the brackets too far back and had to take it out twice before I got it correct. The instructions could have been a little clearer on that. One important thing to know, which wasn't clear in the manual, is that if you're hooking up a backup camera. you need to go into the settings and turn it on. Also, the Ready Harness may have extra wires that your car doesn't use. I had to call tech-support to find that out. (They were great BTW.) This unit works great and us very easy to operate. I thought I might regret getting one without a CD player but since the bluetooth works so well that is a non-issue for me.

Poor excuse for a digital multimedia player. Many many problems trying to get it to play off of a USB drive. All it wanted to do was keep playing the same few songs or albums. And no, the repeat function wasn't turned on. Tried taking all of the songs out of every folder to see if that would help, NOPE. Gave up on the USB drive and plugged in an iPhone 5s via the USB port. Works ok but slow to start and rarely shows the proper album art for the song playing. It's usually 2-3 songs behind. Bought this Pioneer unit to replace anther Pioneer unit that the Bluetooth phone function stopped working on. Won't be buying another Pioneer unit. I'd return this MVH-200ex but can't find another head unit with the features I want that doesn't cost a lot more.

The only thing that would warrant a lower rating is the lack of volume knob but I purchased the radio knowing it didn't have one so the radios review shouldn't suffer for personal choice, the volume buttons work as intended. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Longtime Crutchfield customer because of the concern given to complementing the end product with installation items. Given I've only had the unit installed for a little over a week, this review might be a bit premature. I'm finding the unit to do what it was advertised as doing pretty well. I'm primarily using it for it's bluetooth integration and my Samsung phone. Sound quality is as should be expected from a Pioneer head unit. It's obviously much better than the stock unit. It takes between 30 & 45 seconds for the phone and the head unit to connect to one another, which seems reasonable to me. The touchscreen also seems to work well. For the price, it's not a bad unit at all.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this unit because it was an cost effective touch screen from a reputable manufacturer. I had a reservation in buying this, because it was a resistive touch screen instead of the upper end models that are capacitive. However the touch screen is very responsive, and because I live in Florida, I won't have to worry about ambient temperature causing the response to fluctuate. The unit is easy to understand and easy to navigate, and the bluetooth is flawless; easy to connect to, and tested on my daughter's iPhone 7 plus and my Samsung Note 5. I am thrilled that my daughter has the ability to talk hands free; and you hear the person without much noise positioning the microphone on the steering column. It looks slick and works great. I am very happy pleased with this selection. Installed in a 2012 FORD Focus SE to replace junk popping static No Nav head unit.

Pros: Cheap for Double-DIN Touch Screen Reputable Manufacturer Can use with backup Camera Blue Tooth is Flawless Connection Good Hands Free Calling Doesn't make you wish you bought something else

Cons: Compromise For Price of High End Models -Resistive versus Capacitive touchscreen -No integrated apps for iOS or Android (to use google maps on display) Pandora, etc...

Easy install, but not much room for all the extra wires and harnesses. Had to fiddle with it for awhile but managed to get everything to fit. Right away it boosted the power and quality of my low end stock speakers. Bluetooth quality is good, but it will momentarily drop connection every once in awhile, almost like a CD skipping. Speaking of CDs, don't be an idiot like me and remove all CDs from your stock system before removing it. Like other people have said, the screen does get a little washed out in bright sunlight but it hasn't bothered me much.

I give it 4 1/2 stars. Great little system for the price. A couple of things I notice after a month of on the road use. I still miss the knob for controlling the volume. I have basic truck and doesn't have anything fancy to control the stereo on my steering wheel. When you connect via USB, it takes a bit to load all your songs. If the songs are in a folder, it won't play in shuffle mode or I haven't figured out how to play in shuffle mode. It will play in shuffle mode when you connect via blue tooth. When you get a call via blue tooth make sure the volume is at or around 30 or above on the receiver.

Overall, this is a great improvement over the stock radio in my 2008 Tacoma...soundwise. But after driving it on two long trips, I am having trouble with the display. Something about the angle of the Tacoma dashboard...the screen is very hard to read in daylight; almost impossible if the sun is coming in. Tried messing with the brightness and contrast, to no avail. Also my polarized sunglasses completely blank it out. Using the touchscreen is required for most operations. Thinking I'll need a little sun visor for the screen. And forget about using this in a convertible!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So, we decided to upgrade our daughters car stereo with something that had Bluetooth. My journey began at a big box electronics store, but I left more confused then the salesman who was trying to sell me up. Got home and looked over the Crutchfield sight. Still being somewhat confused from my time at the big box store, I opted to call Crutchfield. The salesman asked all the right questions, the who why what etc. I saw one stereo in particular that was pretty cool, and a little costly, but the salesman talked me down a bit and provided me options which were operator friendly, and less expensive. After only 10 minutes, I found myself purchasing a head unit. This particular unit was way less than the one at the big box electronics store, and even came with everything needed to install it, including pieces parts and directions at no charge. So after I attempted to convince my wife I could install the unit, she in turn convinced me to call the local installers. Happy wife happy life. Needless to say the install went flawlessly, from the local installers, not me. Next I'm going to order another one for my truck. I'll install that one. Well, we'll see how it goes.

Pros: Simple purchase, User Friendly, Cheaper that anywhere else I could find, and Came with all the pieces and parts for installation at no charge.

I love this receiver, it's simple, easy to use , looks great, went in great and fits better than the factory unit. The one thing that blew me away was how well my factory speakers sound now. I do have a new set , but I'm not in such a hurry to get them in now. Can't imagine how the Polk speakers will sound. Really happy, thanks Crutchfeild. Chris T.

    Pros: Kicking sound

Wow, this car stereo exceeded my expectations. Great product for the price, and Crutchfield provided very clear installation instructions. I had one question during the install, and their support staff (a real person) was very helpful and knowledgeable. I enthusiastically recommend both the Pioneed MVH and Crutchfield.

Pros: Great sound. Easy installation. User friendly interface. Great fit and finish. Very good fit in my Toyota Tundra. Bluetooth connection to my iPhone with no problems.

Cons: None to report so far. Very pleased with this product!

The sound is pretty good. There is no USB jack on the front. If your vehicle is not compatible with the unit's wiring that determines if you are driving, you cannot set up blue tooth. I have an aftermarket solution on the way to deal with the problem.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

phenomenal unit. i purchased this to replace a sony mex-100bt (a $200 unit that burnt out after 30 days of use) in my 04 subaru wrx, this unit costs less, runs lower power and still sounds SUBSTANTIALLY better than the more expensive sony unit did. Audio even over Bluetooth is higher quality and even louder than the higher wattage sony head unit. The screen is very quick and responsive with little to no delay after touches. My only quarrel with it is the parking break lockout is very inconvenient so i recommend connecting that to the ground of the system to never have to worry about being in park to use all features of your head unit. PIONEER IS THE ONLY SMART CHOICE FOR HEAD UNITS. Also, stay as far away from sony products as you possibly can, especially when it comes to car audio.

Pros: -amazing sound quality -responsive screen -good bluetooth quality -easily the best unit i've seen for even within 100 dollars of this price point

Cons: -inconvenient parking lockout -screen can be a little dim in the middle of the day -very poor instructions for the wiring diagram, have to be extra careful to make sure you are connecting the correct wires.

This is an acceptable head unit. Sounds good and installs easily (especially with the Tech support from Crutchfield). However, the only hands-free function it supports is telephony - SIRI EYES FREE is not available so you can't send or receive text messages through the car stereo system. I thought that would be a standard since technology has been around since 2012.

    Pros: Easy install

Cons: NO SIRI EYES FREE tech. No HD - radio data display is lame.

I bought this head unit because I wanted a modern unit, with Bluetooth, and back-up camera capabilities. I have zero need to play CD's or DVD's in my truck. Touchscreen & Steering Wheel Control

Clear Resistive Touchscreen: The MVH-200EX features a 6.2" clear resistive LCD touchscreen with a display resolution of 800 x 480 (RGB), for a total of 1,152,000 pixels. The clear resistive touchscreen is designed to enhance the visibility of on-screen graphics and images, making them appear clear and crisp. The LCD touchscreen allows you to control this unit and a connected component, such as an iPod/iPhone, a USB mass storage class device, or Bluetooth source. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system.

    • Favorite Menu: You can register the desired menu items on the MVH-200EX's "Favorites" menu screen. Registering your favorite menu items allows you to quickly jump to the registered menu item by a simple touch on the favorites menu. Up to 12 menu items can be registered as a "Favorite".
    • Background (Wallpaper): You can select between a variety of preset background (wallpaper) images for the Menu screen and AV operation screen. You can also adjust the color of the on-screen display; choose between red, amber, green, blue or white.
    • Picture Adjustments: You can store numerous video settings for the head unit's video sources and rearview camera; including brightness (adjusts the black intensity), contrast (adjusts contrast) color (adjusts color saturation), hue (adjust color tone), and Dimmer (adjusts brightness).
    • Widescreen Modes: You can choose from the following widescreen modes when playing back video - Full (4:3 picture is enlarged in the horizontal direction only; enabling you to enjoy a 4:3 picture without any omissions), Zoom (4:3 picture is enlarged in the same proportion both vertically and horizontally; ideal for a 16:9 screen), Normal (4:3 picture is displayed as it is), and Trimming (image is displayed across the entire screen with horizontal-to-vertical ratio left as is).

Front-Panel Control w/ Custom Illumination: In addition to the touchscreen controls, the unit includes frequently used buttons along the left edge of the screen. The color of the button illumination can be set to red, amber, green, blue, white, or rainbow (constantly cycling through the color spectrum). You can also create a custom color to match your vehicle's interior lighting (112 colors to choose from).

Dimmer: To prevent the touchscreen display and button illumination from being too bright at night, the illumination is automatically dimmed when the car's headlights are turned on. The automatic dimmer function only works when the orange/white illumination wire in the wiring harness is connected to the vehicle's headlight circuit. You can also turn on or off the dimmer manually. You can even set a timer for the dimmer to turn on or off.

Parking Brake Interlock: This unit has a parking brake interlock system that prohibits viewing of video programming and operating certain controls when the vehicle is in motion. In order to watch video on the in-dash monitor, the vehicle must be stopped with the parking brake engaged. The head unit's light green wire must be connected to your vehicle's parking brake detection circuit. The head unit's touchscreen will display "Attention! Viewing of front seat video source while driving is strictly prohibited", if you try to watch a video when your vehicle is in motion.

Steering Wheel Control Input: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input on the rear of the unit that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately).

    Built-in Bluetooth

Bluetooth 3.0: The MVH-200EX is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 3.0, allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit. In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology, your phone must also be Bluetooth compatible and be able to interpret certain profiles. This unit is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles:

    • Hands-Free Communication: HFP 1.6 (Hands Free Profile), PBAB 1.0 (Phone Book Access Profile).
    • Audio Streaming: A2DP 1.3 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), AVRCP 1.6 (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Pioneer MVH-200EX.

Multi-Device Pairing Dual Phone Connection: Up to 3 Bluetooth-compatible devices (2 phones/1 audio player) can be paired to this head unit. You are even able to keep two Bluetooth-enabled smartphones connected at the same time, so you can switch between phones from the head unit's touchscreen, without having to connect or re-connect devices.

    • SPP (Secure Simple Pairing): With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the MVH-200EX without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings.
    • Auto Re-Connection: Once an already paired Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically links the head unit and device together. If two Bluetooth devices were connected the last time, the two devices are connected to this unit automatically in the order that they are registered in the device list.

Hands-Free Communication (w/ External Mic): The Pioneer MVH-200EX supports wireless hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. Thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP 1.6) with wideband speech capability, the MVH-200EX provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The MVH-200EX allows you to carry on a phone conversation from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone using the head unit's external microphone and your car audio speakers. During a conversation you can adjust the volume, as well as switch between the Private Mode (talking directly on your cell phone) and the Hands Free Mode.

    • Answering A Call: During an incoming phone call, the head unit will display the caller's information and an audible ring tone will be heard through your vehicle's speakers. You can manually answer an incoming call or have the unit automatically answer the call.
    • Making A Call: The MVH-200EX offers a variety of ways to make call using the in-dash receiver.
      • Direct Dialing: You can make a call by entering the phone number using the head unit's touchscreen keypad.
      • Preset Dialing: You can store up to six phone numbers as presets for quicker dialing.
      • Phone Book: The phone book (up to 1,000 contacts) in your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone will be transferred automatically when the phone is paired to this unit. After finding the number you want to call in the phone book from the head unit, you can select the entry and make the call. If a lot of numbers are registered in the phone book, you can search for a phone number by the contact person's name alphabetically.
      • Call Log: The 80 most recent calls dialed, received, and missed are stored in memory. You can browse them and call numbers from these lists.
Note: Advanced phone operations that require attention, such as dialing numbers on the touchscreen monitor or adjusting Bluetooth settings, are prohibited while driving. The vehicle's parking brake must be engaged to access these functions.

Wireless Audio Streaming: The Pioneer MVH-200EX also supports wireless audio playback (AD2P) and control (AVRCP) of a Bluetooth enabled audio player or smartphone. The head unit can stream music stored on your Bluetooth enabled device or music apps you have downloaded on your device. When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call.

    • Advanced Music Navigation: In addition to basic playback functions (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Skip, Random/Repeat), the MVH-200EX lets you browse your stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, etc.. (AVRCP 1.4 phones only; which includes Android 4.0+ and iPhone 5.0+).
    • Song/Artist Info: The head unit will also display your stored music's and music app's song information; such as Artist name and Song/Album title (app must also support).

    Android & iPhone Integration

Android MTP Playback: The Pioneer MVH-200EX supports MTP for playback & control of stored MP3/WMA/AAC music files on your Android (OS 4.0+) device through the Pioneer receiver's rear-panel USB port. In this mode, you get basic playback control (like Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track), plus song/artist/album information on the receiver's LCD touchscreen. During MTP connection, you cannot use your Android smartphone's touchscreen to control music playback and you cannot select music apps from your smartphone for playback. However, you can continue to listen to stored music on your Android smartphone through the head unit while you check your Calendar, Facebook, Texts, etc on your phone.

iPod Direct Connect: The Pioneer MVH-200EX's rear-panel USB port can be used to connect your Lightning Apple device or 30-pin iPhone 4S to the head unit. You'll need a Lightning-to-USB cable to connect your Apple device with Lightning connector, or a 30-pin to USB cable to connect your iPhone 4S. The USB connection allows for audio playback, music navigation, information display (including album art), and charging of your compatible iPhone or iPod.

    • Audio Control: From the head unit's touchscreen, you can search your iPod/iPhone's audio content by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Podcast, Genre, Composer, or Audiobook. You can also select Random & Repeat functions for a certain song or specific folder. You'll still be able to control your iPod or iPhone from the device's touchscreen too.
    • Song/Artist/Album Info: In addition, the head unit will display your iPod/iPhone's stored music information including Elapsed playing time, Artist name, Song & Album title, as well as Album Art.
Note: If there are 10,000 songs or more on your iPod/iPhone, it will require almost one hour to fully populate the song list.

Smartphone Charging: The head unit's USB connection provides 5V/1A of current to power and charge your connected iPod/iPhone or Android device when your vehicle's ignition switch is set to the 'ACC' or 'On' position. If your mobile device has no initial battery charge, then the unit will not recognize it.

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is available.

    Apple Music & AM/FM Radio

Apple Music Radio: You can playback Apple Music Radio on your USB-connected Apple iOS device through the Pioneer MVH-200EX. With a WiFi or cellular connection, you can listen to Beats 1 and other live radio stations. Apple Music subscribers can also listen to on-demand stations for every genre or create their own stations. You can use the head unit's touchscreen to select between your Apple Music Radio stations, playback songs similar to the current song, stop playback of the current song, and add the current song to your iTunes wish list. Apple Music Radio playback is compatible with the following Apple iOS devices -

    • iPhone: X, 8+/8, 7+/7, 6S+/6S/6+/6, 5S/5C/5, SE, & 4S - running iOS 9.3.5 or newer
    • iPod: touch (6th, 5th generation) - running at iOS 9.3.5 or newer
Note: Your Apple iOS device will need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, LTE (4G), or WiFi.

Supertuner IIID AM/FM Tuner: The Supertuner IIID AM/FM tuner features Feed Forward Control, which avoids multi-path interference. This pre-detection of interference enables quick filter control and results in less distortion. In addition, the Supertuner IIID creates enhanced stereo during multi-path interference, unlike conventional tuners that collapse to mono. Digital processing reduces distortion, and improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio and stereo separation. Advanced analog technology improves signal processing sensitivity.

    • RDS: The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio broadcast information such as artist, title, and album when listening to compatible AM/FM stations.
    • BSM (Best Stations Memory): BSM lets you automatically store the six strongest stations under preset buttons 1-6 of the currently tuned band. The tuner has 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank. You can store 6 presets for each bank giving you a total of 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets.
    • Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. There are 4 levels of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. The higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive progressively weaker stations.

    USB & AV Playback

USB Mass Storage Class Device Compatible: The unit's rear-panel USB (type-A) port and 58" USB extension cable allows you to connect a USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) device; such as a USB thumbdrive or portable digital audio player. The USB port enables playback & control of music, video, and photo files stored on your portable USB MSC device through the Pioneer MVH-200EX. USB devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the digital media receiver's USB port (5V/1A) and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.

    • File/Track Name List: The Name List feature displays a list of music, movie, and photo files loaded onto a connected USB device, so you can easily access your content.
    • Song/Artist/Album Info: The head unit will display your USB device's stored music information - including Elapsed playing time, Artist name, Song & Album title, as well as Album Art.
Note: The head unit's USB port does not support USB hubs or USB card-readers.

Compatible Media Files: The Pioneer MVH-200EX supports the following types of audio, video, and photo files loaded onto an inserted USB device.

AV Input: The head unit has a rear-panel 3.5mm minijack AV input for connecting an external audio/video device. Your vehicle's parking brake must be engaged to view video on the receiver's touchscreen.

Rearview Camera: The MVH-200EX is equipped with a composite video rearview camera input for the addition of an optional backup camera (130NDBC8, sold separately).

    • Auto View: The unit features a function that automatically switches to the rear camera image. When the vehicle's transmission is put in reverse, the screen automatically switches to the rear view camera (violet/white wire of the harness must be connected to the vehicle's reverse lamp circuit for automatic video switching). Automatic video switching takes approximately 1.2 seconds.
    • Camera View: There is also a Camera View mode which allows you to manually bring up the rearview camera image on the receiver's touchscreen monitor to check what is behind you while driving. You can leave the Camera View mode on if you want to see the rearview image at all times; for instance when towing a trailer.

Video Output: A single RCA composite video-output jack allows you to an add external monitor, such as rear headrest or overhead monitor (sold separately). The video output can display a USB or AV-input video signal when its selected as the receiver's source, regardless if the vehicle's parking brake is engaged or not.

    Audio Section

24-Bit/96kHz DAC: For superb quality audio playback from USB & Bluetooth, the Pioneer MVH-200EX is equipped with a 24-bit/96kHz digital-to-analog converter.

MOSFET50 Internal Amplifier: The Pioneer MVH-200EX is equipped with a MOSFET amplifier. Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, and it delivers increased power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. More power means louder and cleaner music at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit.

    • CTA-2006 Specs: 14 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Continuous Power Output: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 50Hz-15kHz, 5% THD)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (or 50 watts x 2 channels at 4 ohms + 70 watts x 1 channel at 2 ohms for subwoofer)
Note: The power specifications for the MVH-200EX are compliant with the CTA-2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers.

2V/6CH Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The Pioneer MVH-200EX features three pair of 2.0-volt preamp outputs (Front/Rear/Subwoofer). The unit's front and rear preamp output can be faded (front/rear), while the subwoofer preamp output is non-fading. The Pioneer MVH-200EX lets you adjust the subwoofer preamp output's phase (normal/reverse) and volume (+10 to -24).

Crossovers: The MVH-200EX employs high pass and low pass crossovers to tailor the head unit to your connected speakers.

    • HPF: The head unit features a HPF (High Pass Filter) for its front & rear speaker-level or preamp outputs. The HPF's crossover slope can be set to -6, -12, -18, or -24 dB/octave. The HPF's crossover frequency can be set to 25, 31.5, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200, or 250 Hz.
    • LPF: The head unit features a LPF (Low Pass Filter) for its subwoofer preamp output. The LPF's crossover slope can be set to -6, -12, -18, -24, -30, or -36 dB/octave. The LPF's crossover frequency can be set to 25, 31.5, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200, or 250 Hz.

EEQ (Easy EQ) w/ 13-Band Graphic EQ: There are seven stored equalizer curves which you can easily recall at any time. You can choose from - Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Super Bass, Flat, Custom 1, or Custom 2. The Custom 1 and Custom 2 EQ modes allow you to manually adjust the level (+/- 12dB) of each band of the head unit's 13-band graphic equalizer (50, 80, 125, 200, 315, 500, 800, 1.25k, 2k, 3.15k, 5k, 8k, and 12.5k Hz).

Audio Settings: The head unit provides further sound adjustments for your car audio system.

    • Listening Position & Time Alignment: For a better sound-stage you can select your optimal listening position. You can choose from All, Front Left, Front Right, or Front. You can also select to manually fine tune the sound stage, using Digital Time Alignment (DTA) by selecting the distance (0-140") for each individual speaker in the vehicle compared to your listening position.
    • Speaker Level: You can adjust each speaker and sub channel independently from +10 to -24 to best even out the sound in your vehicle.
    • Bass Boost: You can easily boost the subwoofer bass level by using the Bass Boost function. The Bass Boost feature allows you increase the subwoofer level from 0 to +12 dB.
    • Loudness: The Loudness function compensates for deficiencies in the low- and high-frequency ranges at low volume. You can set the Loudness to High, Mid, Low, or Off.
    • Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. Settings are based on the unit's FM volume level, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from -4 dB to +4 dB.

Rear Speaker Setup The rear speaker outputs can be set to provide full range output with full fading capability, or they can be set to provide non-fading subwoofer (low-pass) output. When the rear speaker outputs are set to subwoofer mode, the rear preamp outputs also switch from full range to subwoofer outputs. When set for subwoofer operation, you can connect the rear speaker leads directly to two small 4-ohm passive subwoofers or a dual voice coil sub with 4-ohm voice coils. If you prefer to use a single 2-ohm subwoofer, you can connect the woofer to one set of speaker leads, leaving the other set of rear leads disconnected. The maximum output provided when a 2-ohm load is connected to one set of leads is 70 watts.

Key Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation. The beep tone can be turned on or off.

It switches when the back up camera is powered up. I have my back up camera wired into my reverse light circuit. So when I put my truck in reverse, the camera is supplied power, and the screen displays for the camera. If I remember right, there is a wire on the back of the head unit that must be connected into the camera circuit. I know it was easy, and well explained in the instructions or I would not have done it. Jeff [ Jeff  Nov 27, 2018 ]
I do not have a back up camera for mine but I would think when you hit reverse it should change automatically [ KENNETH  Nov 27, 2018 ]
If you make the ropes as they are and you pull the cable. Sending him a signal if he doesEnter an answer to this question. [ Jayson Luis Cas  Nov 27, 2018 ]

    Nope [ Sean  Oct 29, 2018 ]
No, you need Apple Car play or android auto to do that. [ Charles  Oct 29, 2018 ]
No. This is not a android powered head unit. [ Jian  Oct 28, 2018 ]
I've never used the USB, but I can tell you everything else works fine. Mostly I listen to spotify via Bluetooth from my phone. It shows the artist and song on the display. [ marcus  Oct 17, 2018 ]
The folder navigation works well when I have used it. Looks very similar in concept to navigating folders on your PC.There is touch screen navigation to move up and down the folder structures. I have not had any issues.. It works great. [ Dale  Oct 16, 2018 ]
I actually haven't used it that way. I ran the provided usb cable from behind the unit, through the center console and out for my phone. This unit seems great for radio, my iPhone and the Bluetooth is great. Quick connects and never fails. The only things I don't like about the unit is you can't adjust the volume until you plug the phone in and it recognizes it. So if your music is blasting before you shut the car off, prepare to be blasted. Also, with Spotify I'll listen to a song and not get the current played albums artwork and when it switches to another song or even a different band, I'll bet the previous album/bands artwork. More of a picky preference but not enough to make me get rid of this unit, I love it. Really bumped up the audio from the stock imitándolo be keeping it [ JAYME  Oct 16, 2018 ]
I've only used it with an old iPod touch and it works great.. I never thought of using a flash drive. I hope someone has an answer for you... in the meantime, I need to get a flash drive and try it [ Phil  Oct 15, 2018 ]
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you. [ Krissy  Aug 10, 2018 ]  Staff
No you need Apple CarPlay to do that. [ Charles  Jul 31, 2018 ]
I bought this radio for my sons car so I don't know sorry. [ Don  Jul 31, 2018 ]
Not to.sure.about Spotify album art. Some of my music art comes through music ripped from cds [ Jian  Jul 28, 2018 ]
I just steamed Spotify but it doesn't sie the art work. It does show artist and title. [ BJ  Jul 28, 2018 ]
Yes, even the app you're using to play the music. [ David  Jul 27, 2018 ]
Yes. I do not have buttons on mine either. [ Chris  Jul 16, 2018 ]
The steering wheel controls should have nothing to do with bluetooth operation. They're simply a convenience. You'll just have to operate the functions from the head unit and/or whatever device you're connected with. [ Jeff  Jul 16, 2018 ]
I'm very happy with the unit, very bright display! Never have had issues seeing it thus far. I would 100% recommend it, I have enjoyed having it much more than my stock stereo very customizable as well. I also got the prewired package I would recommend this as well as it looks like a much more professional wiring harness than I could ever make. [ Tanner Ryan  Jul 12, 2018 ]
The screen is bright, when your car lights are off. It's a little harder at sunrise if the lights are on...I wear polarized glasses which can make it a little more difficult to see. I really like this unit, no problems with it so far, and for the price, good value. [ Andrew J.  Jul 12, 2018 ]
It is very easy to see the display and the brightness is adjustable. No issues reading on sunny days with my installation. [ Brandon  Jul 12, 2018 ]
No, not in my Tacoma! [ Kevin  Jul 12, 2018 ]
Yes. Very easy. Love the unit [ Mark  Jul 12, 2018 ]
It's not that bright. Sometimes I can't see when the sun is shining on it [ Cindy  Jul 11, 2018 ]
I struggle to see the full display when it's sunny out. I'm not the most technological guy, so maybe there's a way to adjust the brightness for these times. [ Zachary  Jul 11, 2018 ]
That you have to ask crutchfeild I'm not tech service [ jiju  Jul 14, 2018 ]
Crutchfield has a vehicle capatability option on their website. It should show you the stereos that will fit along with required mounting hardware and wiring harness. [ Brandon  Jul 12, 2018 ]
Yes, it will show guidelines. But it won't show the steering angle lines. [ MICHAEL  Jun 13, 2018 ]
I am on my second camera. I was not a fan of the first one. Both have displayed the guidelines. However, I believe they are a function of the camera itself. Not the head unit. Jeff [ Jeff  Jun 12, 2018 ]
Yes it does its located on the back of the radio, so you will have to route the wire through the dashboard some how. [ Shane Joshua  May 16, 2018 ]
The short answer is yes, it comes with a USB Cable that plugs into the back of the unit and you can route it out to where it is accessible for your phone. The longer answer is that we purchased a different cable with mounting hardware so it could be permanently installed in the dash rather than just being a cable hanging out. We also bought a cigarette lighter adapter with 2 port fast charging capability. Neither of those two products were that expensive. What we found works best for us is to use Bluetooth Audio for streaming to the radio and to use the fast charger to supply power. With this setup you also have the option to use the USB port attached to the radio for your phone but we ended filling a USB flash drive with music and plugging it in to that port. [ Kevin  May 16, 2018 ]
    Yes it does [ Alfonso  May 16, 2018 ]
    Yes - it works GREAT! [ DEVORA  May 16, 2018 ]
It does have a USB connection. However, it is on the back of the unit. A cable is included to extend the connection, but there is no mounting point for it. Personally, I wished they had made the USB connection available on the front of the unit. I see little point of putting it on the back. [ Scott  May 16, 2018 ]
It has a connection on the rear as well as an extension cable [ Dan  May 15, 2018 ]
Yes, there is an attachment which allows for a USB connection. [ Patrick  May 15, 2018 ]
Yes it does....cable is provided in kit, and you run it out to where you want to have it as a connection. End would be female USB....just plug in a normal USB charging cable into it, and you're good to go. [ Corey  May 15, 2018 ]
    Nope, haven't seen this flexibility. [ Corey  May 15, 2018 ]
You can check to see if this will fit your vehicle by using our Outfit My Car tool: http://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx For additional details on fit or installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on if this will fit and what you will need for an installation in your vehicle. [ Krissy  May 04, 2018 ]  Staff
Not sure but its a standard double din size head unit. Its the same width as a regular old school size unit just twice as tall. It fit perfectly in a nissan 350z. Ive never seen a sonics dash but as long as its not a one off size and takes a double din size reciever it. Nice head unit as a side note plenty of connection options and the screen is plenty bright in my convertible [ Richard  Apr 28, 2018 ]
The ability to retain steering wheel controls with aftermarket receivers will be determined by the receiver you are using and the vehicle you have. For full information on this type of integration (including the parts you will need) please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Apr 23, 2018 ]  Staff
This stereo doesn't have that option. You probably need a Android mirror head unit. [ Jian  Apr 19, 2018 ]
Agreed with the others...I installed into 2005 Ford Escape so no real "integration" into vehicle functions. Bluetooth works independently and just fine. [ Corey  May 15, 2018 ]
I am unfamiliar. Everything worked for me. Bluetooth always connects. [ Paul  Apr 20, 2018 ]
the instructions that crutchfield provides are not very detailed. they are basic, but ok enough to allow you to swap out the radio....but I will say it would be very useful if you have done it before. I installed this unit in a 2012 Kia Rio hatchback, the instructions does not tell you to remove the vents or how to. it does not cover the airbag unit piece on how to install it. so from a high level, the instructions are useful but not very detailed for the "Beginner" [ Lance  Apr 04, 2018 ]
There are no instructions on how to modify the dash to make it fit [ Cory  Apr 03, 2018 ]
No, but I opted to go with one that they said would fit so I didn't need them. It came with a bracket that fit already. [ David  Apr 03, 2018 ]
I used YouTube videos but everything is supplied by Crutchfield. [ kylar  Apr 03, 2018 ]
Yes, but didn't half to though [ Brian Matthew  Apr 03, 2018 ]
the instructions are a bit vague due to the trim kit being kind of universal... as long as your using the crutchfield recommendations your good ..installed in my f250 in 20 mins. get all the recommended accessories and you shouldnt have any issues [ Kristopher  Apr 03, 2018 ]
    no [ david  Apr 26, 2018 ]
    It does not. [ Kalin  Mar 29, 2018 ]
    No its doesnt. [ Daniel  Mar 28, 2018 ]
No, it does not. [ Bryan  Mar 28, 2018 ]
Hey katie! This radio is awesome! You do need the microphone to make voice commands and for calling, but other than that this stereo is pretty awesome! [ cory  Mar 31, 2018 ]
Yes you do. The microphone preinstalled in ur car is more than likely in ur mirror. I would call crutchfield and ask because I would think there would be a wire that would go to that so you wouldn't need the aftermarket microphone but since my vehicle didn't have that I'm not sure. [ Chris  Mar 26, 2018 ]
I believe you do. My original stereo in my car had the microphone up above where the lights are but there was a panel where the mic was a perfect fit. The most important thing is the steering wheel controls are really important, it's surprising how much you miss it. Also if you have an old iPod it will not recognize it. I will probably be exchanging this for a deck that will read my iPod classic. [ David  Mar 25, 2018 ]
