About the Pioneer CD-IB100

You've got your whole music library on your iPod. Pioneer can help you take it with you in your car. The CD-IB100 iPod interface adapter allows you to control an iPod directly from your compatible Pioneer receiver (2005 and newer, with a "P" in the model number). You'll be able to scroll through your playlists and pick out the tracks you want to listen to, while your iPod is stored safely out of the way — so much easier than fiddling with the iPod itself while you're driving.

The adapter sends song and artist information to your receiver's display — no more squinting to see who's playing. It also recharges the iPod's battery, so you'll be ready to keep on rocking whenever you get to where you're going. A pass-through connection on the adapter will accommodate another Pioneer component, such as an XM satellite radio tuner or a CD changer.

iPod Compatibility: The CD-IB100 is compatible with iPod, iPod mini, iPod photo, iPod nano, and iPod video models equipped with the dock connector.

Note: This unit does not support software versions prior to iPod update 2004-10-20.

Display: The following information on your iPod can be displayed on the compatible Pioneer head unit: play time, song title, artist name, album title, repeat play, and random play status.

Multiple "Search" Functions: Just like looking for files stored on a PC, iPod-recorded songs may be sorted according to registered playlists, genres, artists, or albums to ensure easy access to each music file.

Note: When the adapter is used with the Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD, you can also sort through the individual song titles.

Repeat Playback: The Repeat Playback function allows you to repeat the current song or all the songs from a specified playlist.

Shuffle Playback: Using the Shuffle Playback function, you can choose one of the following modes: Track or Album. In Track mode, all the songs in a list are played back in random order. In Album mode, the unit randomly selects and album then plays back all the tracks in that album.

Charging iPod: When the receiver is on and the iPod is connected, the iPod is supplied power for playback and to charge the battery.

CD Changer Pass-Thru: The adapter uses the CD changer input on the Pioneer head unit. If you also want to use a CD changer, there is a CD changer pass-through connection on the adapter, so they can be daisy chained together.
