Overview: The Pioneer CD-IU50 is an interface cable that allows you to plug your iPod/iPhone into a Pioneer head unit with a USB input for audio playback, control, and charging. Compatibility: The CD-IU50 cable is compatible with Pioneer head units that feature a USB one-wire iPod/iPhone direct input.

iPod Compatibility: The Pioneer CD-iU50 iPod Audio Direct Cable is "Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following iPod/iPhone model functions when connected to a compatible Pioneer multimedia head unit (as of 1/18/2012):

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the head unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older software version or wait until a newer software update is available.

Connector Cover: The dock connector end of the cable has an attached cover to protect the connector from dirt or damage.
