IR Remote: The Pioneer CD-R55 wireless remote control gives you control of select Pioneer in-dash AV receivers (AVIC, AVH, MVH, NEX series) in the palm of your hand. You can also control some Pioneer DVD players and TV tuners.

Note: The Pioneer in-dash AV receiver must have a front-panel IR receiver. Not Pioneer receivers are IR compatible.

Operation Switch: You can operate multiple components at once, using the 3-way switch on the right side of the remote:

AVH: when operating an AV receiver (AVIC, AVH, MVH or NEX series)
DVD: when operating a DVD player
TV: when operating a TV tuner

Battery: The CD-R55 operates on a 3-volt CR2025 Lithium battery (included).

Yes. On my pioneer anyway. I think it will depend on your setup. I had TONS of other options/ functions that aren't even on mine. My only complaint is how big this thing is. Almost 3 times the size of the one it came with. But. Lots harder to loose. Hope this helps.

Your best bet for a remote that will work with the SA-1510 will be to check out the universal home remotes. This remote is designed for use with some of Pioneers car stereos.

I'm not finding that model of receiver right off. However, this remote will work with any of the recent Pioneer head units that are wireless remote compatible.
