Works great after correct harness installed

Installed in a 2011 Subaru WRX Non-nav. This was an anxiety filled install. Basically take your time. I did one wire at a time from the pioneer harness to the Maestro harness. I wanted to use my steering wheel controls so I needed the iDatalink Maestro RR. I followed the Crutchfield given instructions and found a couple problems. First was where to connect the reverse camera purple/white wire. I opted for a back-up camera and nothing gave where to install that wire. Reddit and couple Subaru forums later and I found the wire down in the lower passenger side panel. Purple/white from Maestro needs to connect down into the passenger kick panel to a brown/yellow. Second problem was found after the install. My Pioneer harness had no Speed pulse/VSS pink wire to connect to the pink wire on the maestro. After a brief chat with Crutchfield they first said I didn't need it. But, I was getting the pulse wire not connected error at every start-up. Then the second chat they said they would send out a harness with it and stated again that the error should not come up on my non-nav pioneer unit. So here I went again pulling out the head unit and redoing all the wires....... Again..... This time with the pink wire. Guess what... No more error. I have everything working. HDMI/USB/rear view Boyo camera(see my review on that) Stock usb works as well as a connection under the center (with a splitter to use stock location and one under). Aux also works with the HRN-RR-SU1. No issu

Pros: Wireless carplay, HDMI connection, ease of use and setup, No reflection issues.

Cons: Get correct harness. Cannot turn off start-up message that has "Okay" button to touch. It does go off after a couples seconds on it's own.

This unit really isn't worth the trouble. Yes it plays music and it sounds great. However, it's just too clunky to use and too buggy. I specifically went for this unit because I wanted a brand-name like Pioneer, Kenwood, Sony, or Alpine that I could trust. I also wanted Wireless Apple Car Play. Issue 1: Wireless carplay just doesn't have good connectivity - it's not caused by my phone: I have a brand new iPhone 13. I also tried an iPhone 11, iPhone 8, and iPhone 6s. It will connect, but within minutes, it begins skipping repeatedly and gets worse until the screen blacks out. It seems like the Wifi communication that Car Play uses can't keep up. My phone is 2 feet from the head unit, so I find it hard to believe that it would be a signal strength issue. I've got updated firmware, so I'm not sure what's the problem here. This is the real deal-breaker for me. Issue 2: The Touchscreen is old-tech. I would think that EVERYTHING would be multi-touch in 2022. Nope. The 4660-NEX is single-touch meaning when you're on maps, you have to click arrow buttons to scroll around. You can't "pinch and zoom" like on your phone. Not a deal breaker, but I expected more for a unit that costs $500-750 (depending on when you bought it). Issue 3: The interface is laggy. You click something and there's a half second lag for it to respond. It's not an instant thing like your phone. This can lead you to "double tap" when you think you haven't clicked it. Steering wheel controls ar

Pros: 1) Great EQ options to tune your sound 2) HD Radio 3) Customizable light color to match your dash 4) Screen dims automatically when headlights are on so you're not blinded by a bright screen in a dark car.

Cons: 1) Single-touch touchscreen. Cannot pinch and zoom 2) Laggy user interface. 3) Has wireless carplay... but cuts out all the time. Better to just use wired. 4) Strange user interface. The menu screen isn't where you always start to select icons like radio, carplay, aux input. Instead I always feel like I'm backdooring into the app I want to use. For example: to turn off the unit, I have to go to HD Radio, then select "source" -> "off".

This thing has been nothing but a headache since day one. I had to buy several antenna adapters just to get basic features to work (wireless CarPlay, navigation) and it doesn't work with the vehicle microphone. My front USB connectors quit working as soon as the head unit was installed. Wireless CarPlay has always randomly disconnected or goes to a black screen and can't be reset without stopping and turning off the vehicle. If it connects to your phone via hotspot then CarPlay doesn't work. I had hoped after the last firmware update (3.00) sooner of this would have gotten better but now CarPlay doesn't even try to work. It just has a greyed out Connectivity icon all the time. Can't wait to put the factory unit back in!

Pros: None

Cons: Poor/Intermittent connectivity. Will not work without several adapters.

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I had a fantastic experience with Crutchfield from start to finish. I bought this radio as a scratch & dent because it was out of stock and it had a good discount. The salesperson was very helpful to explain everything that I needed to install on a VW 2008 Rabbit. The unit arrived the next day. At first inspection I couldn't see any scratch or dent. I spent some time wiring the radio to the harness. The salesperson told me if I wanted it to be pre-wired, the shipping would be delayed for a day so I opted to do the wiring myself. It was a straight forward task thanks to the colored guide on the web. I called the tech support twice to figure out some of the connections and I received good guidance both times. I also bought and installed a backup camera from Crutchfield. The radio sound is amazing and the camera picture is fantastic. And the wireless CarPlay is the best thing you can have in a car. I love the touch screen and its size. Highly recommended.

Pros: Beautiful touch screen. Great sound. Wireless carPlay is fantastic.

Cons: Switching between two connected phones is a complex process. The volume controls are combersome.

The head unit looks great with its very clean fit and finish. The sound quality in my car was a big upgrade over the factory head unit. Impressive how much a new head unit can get out of 17 year old speakers albeit Bose. Still getting used to the interface. I do notice some of the user interface design challenges that others have pointed out. For instance, to turn up the volume while using CarPlay you do the following: First, press the + button to the left of the screen. That pulls up a screen with volume + and - icons for Guidance and an identical row beneath it for the music. That's a lot of clicks and distraction from the road just to turn the music volume up or down. Another example is that if you leave the Guidance volume too much below the volume for music, then you don't hear the Guidance from Maps. My other cars will lower the volume of the music when the Guidance from Maps comes on automatically. As with most things, I will get used to it. I will also explore settings to see if I can configure things for efficiency a bit better. Good feature-rich product, but it would benefit from more investment in user centered design.

Pros: Clean fit and finish Sound quality Wired and Wireless CarPlay

Cons: User interface could be more efficient

Good unit. seems well put together and fits nicely in my 2011 Camaro. Backup camera works well used boyo vtk 601. Used Pac rpk5 dash bezel. Fit nice as well. Did have some issues installing as you end up with 3 sets of instructions and hard to decide which one to use. Called tech support and (Hawke?) was amazing. Very patient and didn't rush me. I have noticed that incoming phone calls are noisy. Looking at the reviews it looks like many people have noticed this too. Its ok but not as clear as the stock GM unit. I have been enjoying the unit for a few weeks now and have no problems.

Pros: Fits well. apple car play works well. Good sound. great tech support.

Cons: incoming phone calls sound tinny

A great option for wireless carplay

Verified customer (What's this?)

This radio is not perfect, its default UI can be confusing and is not intuitive. However, once you get into CarPlay, the unit is incredible. It is an easy way to make an older car relevant in today's wireless age. I was skeptical of connection issues based on other reviews, but have had no such issues. Being that this is one of the view low-profile wireless CarPlay radios, I have no regret buying this one. Initially, the sounds quality was nothing spectacular, but after a firmware update, the sound quality noticeably improved. It offers good frequency adjustments and two custom EQ profiles, but do not expect an audiophile level experience. I paired mine with an Alpine X-A70F to power four kicker KS series speakers and am very satisfied with the result. The unit is not perfect, and it may be slightly over priced, but overall I would recommend this radio.

Pros: - Good CarPlay connectivity - Two camera inputs - Decent EQ customization - Responsive Touch Screen - USB C Connectivity

Cons: - Hard to navigate Pioneer UI and Pioneer Mobile App - Complex firmware update procedure

The radio work ok, it is very slow to respond to touch screen inputs. This is a very big drawback of not having an physical volume control knob. Lowering the volume quickly is a painfully experience. It is even slow to respond to inputs from the wireless remote. At this price point, putting in a faster processor in should not of been in issue. There is also a lot of things that this radio does that the online only manual doesn't go into detail how they work.

Pros: Feature rich

Cons: Poorly written, online only manual Slow HMI touch input response No volume knob

If I could give this head unit zero stars, I would. Thank goodness Crutchfield is letting me trade it out with a Sony. The Sony I'm getting doesn't have wireless car play, but at this point, I'm totally okay with that. Here's why: 1. The wireless Apple Car Play in this unit consistently will not connect when you start up the car. Head unit says it's not connected, but I can look at my iPhone screen, and it is indeed connected. 2. To use the network capabilities of the unit, you have to have an additional simultaneaous bluetooth connection AND a wifi connection at the same time. This also will disable wireless car play if you use the network/internet abilities of the unit. 3. After using it for less than a month, the head unit screen would go black, lock up, and say "AMP Error." I would have to turn the car on and off to get it to restart and reset. 4. The software to connect and update the firmware is ridiculously stupid. It is not well designed and the instructions included in the manual are a joke. Do yourself a favor and google this unit and look at all the forum entries asking for help with this clunky software. In short, buyer beware with this head unit. It is utterly disappointing. Looking forward to my replacement from Crutchfield.

Pros: Great options for screen customization. This software could be fantastic if it were not so buggy.

Cons: Consistently drops wireless car play connections. Wired car play connection can be spotty as well. "AMP error" message comes up regularly. The features of this head unit just do not work consistently. It's a shame, because this could be a very good head unit if the technical issues are worked out by Pioneer. I seriously doubt the issues wiil be fixed because they are currently on version 3.0 of the firmware. It still isn't right.

Purchased scratch & dent - condition was excellent. The unit, however, has disappointed. wireless android auto wants your phone connected as a client. Amazon alexa wants your phone connected as a hot spot, so switching between the two requires changing phone settings. Listening to music via alexa leave a long gap of silence between songs as it loads the next song. My unit has stopped connecting over bluetooth and I get errors now when I try to connect. Even connecting by USB has become very glitchy. For example, if I press track ahead, sometimes is keeps playing the same song for about a minute before forwarding to playing the next track. Android auto randomly quits working and I have to unplug and reconnect the phone. Some of these issues may be my phone or android auto, but I doubt it. I expected more from a premium unit. I had a GM rental car with wireless android auto and it worked great, so I don't think it's my phone or android auto.

I bought this to replace the 20 year old factory radio in my 2002 ranger edge, With it, I also wired the 2007 factory center console subwoofer up to it, with 4 new pioneer speakers. the differences between the two audio setups was night and day. wiring everything was relatively painless. the harnesses that come with the head unit are high quality and are well done. everything is labeled and is very clear. using the radio is pretty intuitive, that being said I'm still learning and getting used to it. it does all the things you would want in a modern radio, and I am slowly dialing in my sound preferences. My only complaint is that the radio doesn't have a knob, but that's not a knock against this head unit but in general any double din that isn't a floating screen. I will update this review or leave another after a few months once I've had more time with the radio and master it's functions, and dial my settings in. but first impressions with it in the truck its an excellent radio for the price so far. Very happy with my purchase from Crutchfield so far. As a first time buyer, and a novice with electrical stuff and auto audio, Crutchfield made it easy for me to get everything I needed, And between my dad and I, it was a good Sunday project.

Pros: seems like it does everything you really want in a modern radio

Cons: to soon to tell

I wanted to upgrade an older aftermarket head unit with Apple CarPlay and was looking at units from Sony, Kenwood, and Pioneer. I have a 1440NEX in my other truck and the wired CarPlay is great. I've had bad luck with some other units so decided to stick with Pioneer and the W4660NEX looked like a great choice with wireless CarPlay and Alexa as bonuses. I have a 2004 Suburban with factory Bose and a PAC RP5-GM-11 for interface. The Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX was an easy swap with the T-Taps recommended by Crutchfield. The sound is great on this unit and it has more customization than I'm used to. The timing and seat sound focusing was surprisingly useful and affects the sound nicely. I'm still playing with the Alexa integration and learned that it can't activate Apple Music from the head unit. That seems odd but I've seen things like that get updated and improved by Amazon over time. Really happy with this unit.

I like this radio. It was easy to install and easy to set up. It works great with my 2016 Nissan Altima with BOSE, and It works well (with the included features) if you have a wifi hotspot in your vehicle (I do). The wireless Apple Carplay is very responsive; the menus aren't too responsive to access. The Pioneer OS is a little clunky to operate, but you're buying this radio for wireless Apple CarPlay / Andriod Auto. By cumbersome, I mean the OS has you swipe the screen to the left/up/down to get to specific menus. I was going to purchase the XM Tuner, but since I can stream it through CarPlay, it was the cheaper alternative. The radio looks lovely in the dash, and I wish there were a way to keep the reverse camera guidelines on by default when reversing instead of having to press the button to show them each time you need them. I opted out of using the included microphone and went with another user's recommendation of having an aftermarket mic installed in the factory location. This company out of New Jersey by the name of ENFIG was able to make me exactly what I needed, and it sounds just as good, if not better, than the included mic. It gives me a factory look without a microphone sticking out like a sore thumb in the headliner or steering column. I also appreciate having the short chassis of this radio since you have to fit the wire harness and PAC controls behind it. It gives you the much-needed room for a clean install without blocking the exhaust fan.

Pros: Responsive, easy to set up out of the box. Built-in parking brake bypass without connecting the parking brake wire. Search YouTube for that!

Cons: Clunky Pioneer OS and lack of keeping the backup guidance lines on by default when going into reverse.

Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX

I want to give a shout out to Bryan - Advisors@crutchfield.com for helping me select an excellent audio system upgrade. I went with the Pioneer DMH-W4660-NEX and the Maestro RR interface. I went with the Crutchfield 'Ready harness service', which made the install literally 'plug and play'. Initially my steering wheel controls were not working, I discovered I had overlooked the data cable that connects the Maestro Interface to the head unit. There were two items that I opted to get elsewhere, one was the microphone and the other was the USB cable. The folks over at Enfig Audio have OEM remplacements, which means I was able to utilize the OEM microphone and USB locations, thus resulting in a OEM appearance.

Pros: This audio system is packed with features that are easy to use. The wireless phone connection makes it worth the price.

Cons: While the audio system offers internet browsing, I don't see it as anything I would use.

Try a Kenwood.

Guest from Ontario on 5/17/2022

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

The sound was an improvement over the OEM head unit. The features are lacking and not clearly described for a head unit of this price. For example, changing the startup screen is impossible, though it's not stated in the Crutchfield ad (please fix). The functionality of this unit also suffers. CarPlay integration is not easy, nor consistent and setup is technical and requires patience, which I used up when I spent the money for this head unit. Pioneer help also sucks, unless you live across the street from them. There either closed or 'on lunch'. Overall, I should have bought the Kenwood. Even the Alpine would have left me less hypertensive. I do not recommend. In the meantime, I can't wait for it to kack, so I can replace it with something else.

Pros: Sound quality is good DSP is good

Cons: Features are weak compared to cheap Android units. Functionality and configuration is difficult without little reward

Worst sound i have Heard.

Worst sound I have heard to date. I had this radio installed for about 3 weeks and during that time I must have adjusted this radio and my DSP 30 times trying to get this to sound decent. I was never able to get it even bearable. Pioneer concentrated on looks first, then functionality, then as a side gesture decided to add audio capabilities. What I mean by function second is that the wireless Android Auto would constantly turn off and I would have to reestablish three or four times every trip to town. I still could not believe how bad this sounded, I returned the item and installed a Kenwood and the difference was mind-blowing. There was nothing I could do to get this to sound like it was not being played off cell phone speakers. I installed a $100 radio in a golf cart that sounded better than this a few weeks ago. If you want looks and don't have a good ear at all then this might be the radio for you.

Pros: Looks

Cons: Sounds horrible.

Overall I am very happy with the upgrade and Crutchfield did a professional install. They had to add a small microphone to accommodate calls, etc., as this device was not functional with the factory microphone in the car. Nice sound output and the equalizer allows for adjustment of music based on presets for genre or adjust it for just the way you want to hear it. Pros: user friendly functionality with easy touch screen, good size screen with clear images, wireless Apple play. Cons: rather small volume and function touch keys on left of screen (although they expand after touched), slight delay in booting, lost some of the steering radio controls.

Good Radio

So far I really like this radio, it does all that I expect it to, but it does seem to take a little to get used to the way you control each option. The buttons are on the left side and after installing with the install kit it can be a little hard to press the buttons, I have found it easier to use the remote than the buttons. But overall, very good radio.

There's nothing good I can say about this radio. Worst thing about it, half the time it would connect to my CarPlay wirelessly, it would completely lock me out of the rest of the system. Couldn't change sources, could get into the settings and I couldn't even power it down without restarting my truck. Updating it is practically impossible. Check out the reviews for their app that you have to use. CarAVAssist. Not single good review. I got the Kenwood equivalent. DMX9707X. It's flawless for me. Stay clear of this one.

Pros: Nothing

Disappointing Audio Quality

Eric from South Pasadena, CA on 3/21/2022

2005 Chevrolet Colorado

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I really wanted to like this Pioneer, as the interface is the best out of the Kenwood and Alpine I have had, but I would rate the sound quality a 3/10, which is unacceptable. Note that I am using the 4V RCA outs to a 1000 Rockford Fosgate 5-channel amp. The internally amplified speaker outs may sound different. I am replacing an old ~$200 Kenwood with this unit, and the Kenwood embarrasses this one in audio quality, which should not happen considering the price. If you listen to hip-hop, rap, electronic music, you may not notice the muddiness on all tracks due to their natural "crispness". But rock, jazz, acoustic, etc. suffer a huge loss of clarity. Drum beats are reduced to a single midi-like sound without ramp or decay, and complex layered collections of instruments become an indecipherable mess of noise. I spent a week trying to tune the sound with the EQ, X-overs, and other adjustments, but these just create more distortion. Low volumes lack punch and just sound rumbly with added bass, while higher volumes only become painful. Plus the HD radio sounds tinny (and without a separate EQ). I found myself turning the music down and not wanting to listen. I returned and replaced it with a similar Kenwood for a little more money, and everything sounds amazing with no other changes. That said, this Pioneer beats the Kenwood in terms of interface, and is very easy to program. The Kenwood also does not include a remote, which this does. I cannot recommend this Pioneer.

Pros: -Best OS Interface -Remote Incl. -Shallow Mount -HD Radio -Rapid Bluetooth Connection -Wireless Android/CarPlay -Customizable Home Screen -Album Art

Cons: -Audio Output Lacks Clarity, is Muddy (*lack of clarity also noted by a musician I had helping to tune) -Adjusting Levels Only Adds Distortion -Unpleasant Listening Experience (Straining-to-Painful) -Alexa & Internet Access Req. Turning on Phone Hotspot & Connecting Every Time You Get in the Car, Which No One Will Actually Do -Occasional Bluetooth Glitch on 1st Song = Progress Bar Broken Until Next Song

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Overall, this is a great unit. I give it 4 stars because: 1) The microphone for making calls using Apple CarPlay is very lacking for quality. Everyone I talk to says I am very muffled and hard to understand and results in hanging up and calling back on speakerphone. 2) I don't know if it's a head unit thing or a CarPlay thing, but when using Pandora then switching to another app and then back to Pandora, some times I get 'poor network connection' errors and have to close the Pandora app and restart to get it to play again. Other than that, this unit works great and looks great. It was fairly easy to install and set up and I get great sound out of it. I am very pleased with the fact that I went from a simple factory stereo a unit with CarPlay!

Pros: Wireless CarPlay Backup camera option Vehicle information screen with optional Maestro RR unit

Cons: Poor microphone quality

Researched a lot of radios before deciding on the Pioneer DMH-4660-NEX. Really like the wireless connection to my iPhone for hands free phone and navigation, text messaging and email plus a 13 band EQ !! A lot of features you won't find in other brands. And the support from Crutchfield is second to none. Thanks Crutchfield !! Mark W Maine

Pros: Pioneer quality, great 13 band EQ for great tuning options for your personal taste. Loaded with features including dual camera inputs and wireless connection with your android or iPhone cellphone so your phone can stay in your pocket or belt clip which is as safe as it gets for drivers.

Cons: Pioneer installation instructions could be a little bit better, kind of vague especially for a novice. PDF downloadable instructions are available online and are more detailed in my opinion.

Great Head Unit with Wireless CarPlay

Sean from Stillwater, OK on 3/15/2022

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

The wireless CarPlay feature was the primary reason I bought this head unit and it works exactly as advertised. My phone connects immediately when I turn it on and works great with no lag so far. The CarAVAssist app from Pioneer is not super user-friendly, but it functions and does what it is supposed to as long as you carefully follow the directions when updating the firmware, etc. The head-unity itself is top-notch, though. I paired it with the Maestro RR2 and iDatalink harness and used the Crutchfield ReadyHarness service so everything came pretty much ready to plug-in and go. Would definitely recommend this setup and head unit.

Pros: -Wireless CarPlay -Looks Great -Tons of Features

Cons: -Pioneer's CarAVAssist iPhone App

Just over 2 months of use and my radio is making a loud noise like the fan is failing. Since i purchasedit just over 3 months ago, Crutchfield can only help me have it fixed instead of sending me a replacement. Oh, and I need to pay to ship it out.... I'm just upset because it's still new. Well , I've only used it for just over 2 months Who else wants an open hole in their daily driver's dash and no radio for a week or more? I know I don't..... I start my car and it slowly ramps up the noise. I turn off the radio and it stops. Sometimes, I turn the radio back on and it doesn't make that noise. I just purchased a pioneer dmh-wt8600nex a few months before for my other car from Crutchfield and it's been great. I wasn't expecting this.

Great unit. Pioneer quality. The 4 stars are for bad and non intuitive setup instructions. I used this W4660NEX with the PAC RPK-4102 in a 2010 Camaro. Had the Crutchfield ReadyHarness service. There a a lot of RCA connectors, tape them up and together to keep things nice and tight. The W4660 is a short chassis, so there is enough room behind the installed head unit for all of the PAC and Pioneer wiring. This unit improved the sound of the Boston Acoustics system.

Pros: Pioneer quality, the sound is great.

Cons: Incomplete, non-intuitive setup instructions.

I have this installed in my 2009 Toyota Tacoma. For the price, this head unit is significantly underwhelming. Not only is the UI quite unresponsive and laggy (before and after the most recent firmware update), but it randomly freezes and reboots, disconnects randomly from the bluetooth Android Auto application, and also somtimes "skips two songs at once instead of one" like others have mentioned when using the steering wheel buttons (has a valid Maestro configuration). For what I paid here, I could have used a dedicated iPad Mini or repurposed smartphone for half the cost and had none of the problems.

Pros:

Cons: Very expensive Laggy UI Randomly disconnects Randomly crashes / freezes Skips two songs instead of one Installation with the included Maestro box was confusing since it did not come with instructions Adaptive brightness quality is poor

All work great, plus more nice features. Bluetooth's interface is now automatic. All great upgrades to my FJ. The only issue, and minor for me, is screen brightness at night. There is a dimmer but the adjustment is slight. Still reading manuals to determine if further dimming is an option. All in all really impressed with the unit.

I'm only going to rate this product as a 4 star, the looks and feel of the product is very good, some of the controls are very small, has a lot of options, but the processer speed is a bit slow and you can overwhelm it with to many commands to fast, I'm used to working with fast computers so that maybe me, the picture quality is real good, though its a bit wonky trying to get it to play a video with the nanny programming policing you on the parking brake and the GPS watching if your moving or not, I, was waiting on it to tell me I, was speeding next! or didn't stop at the stop sign, wait! what! this is a stereo, stop with the nanny crap and build your product, ok back to it, and switching back to my android freaks out the whole system for about 3 minutes, Alexa goes dormant with no network, and I, have to use the pioneer app to bring it back up, and for the life of me I, cant get the "Browser" to do anything but white screen, I'm sure that's on me to figure out one day, I, hooked up my 1000 watt amp for the subs and its kicks! you have to play with the EQ for you own system to tune it right, the touch screen is slightly on the unsensitive side, but its ok, Over all its a real good unit, connections and adapters were excellent, nice layout of icons, it does have a learning curve as the instructions and videos are vague on that.

Pros: Nice looking looks and feels quality

Cons: A bit slow has trouble it seems switching back to android to video to other options, if you go to fast it reboots.

The Wireless Carplay is what makes this a must have. I hate getting my phone out of my pocket every time I get into my Jeep, so I'm so glad I chose this one. Great stereo upgrade! I had originally ordered 2 Alpine stereos for my daughter for Christmas to put in our Jeeps (iLX-w650 & iLX-407). I installed the iLX-w650 in hers and it just wasn't the greatest for the money, so I returned it and installed the iLX-407 in hers instead. I decided to switch away from Alpine and purchased this Pioneer for myself. Wow is all I can say! What a difference over both the Alpine stereos. The built in amplifier really makes such a difference and the overall interface is just a better experience and has so many more features. I love that I can customize it any way I want.

I was forced to upgrade to this receiver as my older version of the same model (by 2yrs) stopped working from being caught in a torrential rainstorm in my Jeep Wrangler with the top down (totally my fault!). After serving my penance for being a dumb-dumb, I finally saved up enough to get this bad boy. I missed it, severely! I love the improvements they made over the last version: better interface (it just looks better & and has an overall improved navigation between apps), WIRELESS CarPlay (which is amazing, btw!), to name a couple. I also like that they moved the volume buttons to the driver-side, and made them touch sensitive, instead of physical buttons to mash down. It's an expensive unit, but I love it.

Pros: Wireless CarPlay is a (1st World) life-saver. No cords to mess with to experience that beautiful CarPlay interface. Easy to install.

Cons: Pioneer's instruction manual is a joke. BUT... Crutchfield provides you everything you need, so no need to even reference the manual.

This stereo does everything I could have asked. Wireless CarPlay works perfect, stereo has great sound, HDMI works, Wi-Fi hotspot works (make sure your phone has 2.4 GHz hotspot on), everything is awesome. My unit came updated so I didn't even have to do that. Time alignment is amazing, two customizable 13 band EQ, has weather, sports, and an internet browser. Backup camera works perfect. Booted up perfectly when the temperature was -10°F Just awesome. Only thing that isn't perfect is the phone calls sometimes sound robotic. A lot of people have that problem. I purchased a second microphone to try and will install it soon. A guy on Reddit said he had the same problem and it solved it. We'll see how it goes.

Pretty decent for the money. One of the best wireless Android auto/apple car play receivers for the price. Screen is pretty small tho.

Pros: Low profile double din makes stuffing the wiring harness and cables easier. Lots of good features.

Cons: A little laggy (not as bad as OEM) and screen size is smaller than I thought (but does measure as advertised).

Unit works fine instalation was easy. Replaced a discontinued Kenwood unit of the same size. Thought the screen says 6.95in the display part is actually smaller because the buttons and logo take up a bit of the screen. Unit is stuck in demo mode but doesn't activate while in android auto so it doesn't bother me that much. Reverse camera gets cutt off with android auto auto launch which is also stuck to default on every time the car is started and renders the reverse camera I purchased useless. Had to mess around with the EQ setting to get the sound just right, I think the kenwood sounded better. Looking forward to putting in a sub and maybe an amp.

Pros: Responsive touchscreen feedback. Nice smooth look and finish.

Cons: Both demo mode and android auto auto-launch are defaulted on and reset to default on every time I start the car. Sound is great once messing with EQ settings but not best.

Love it. Switched out the Kenwood DMX for this one because: Can still see screen with polarized sunglasses, lots of dimmer options and dimmer works great, pretty fast volume control, Android auto wireless is great. I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket for short trips, I hop in the car the google maps comes right up along with my music. Lots of options and controls, the screen is sleek and the layout is good, lots of shortcuts available. Comes with HD radio. Great for my Jeep Wrangler 2017. Using with Alpine speakers and amps.

Pros: works with polarized glasses, great sound, dimmer works really well with multiple options, wireless android auto, fast volume control, sleek layout

Replaced a Kenwood DDX9904 that I decided to move to my Excursion, with this Pioneer DMH W4660, big mistake. Sound quality of the Pioneer is no where near what I expected, just off. Screen quality is good, but the sound just isn't there, you can set the EQ on one song to be acceptable but the next song seems like you need to reset and start over. Menu settings have good points and bad seems the bad are more of a pain as what you can adjust in a particular situation, can't adjust b setting unless you go back to a setting first.Never seen anything like this, but I have had mainly Kenwood and Alpine before.

Pros: Uncluttered screens, no large icons

Cons: Just doesn't seem like quality, like a budget cell phone, works but....

I'll never know if this product worked correctly or not since the Crutchfield customer service was so bad. The radio worked well for a couple of months after I got it--it would randomly reset occasionally, often in traffic, which was annoying, but overall it was good--but then it failed to show the backup camera. Crutchfield replaced the iDatalink maestro I was also using a couple of times, but it always failed again after a little while. Finally, after hours and hours spent with Crutchfield tech support, they ran out the warranty and only then finally suggested that maybe the problem had been the radio all along and not the cheaper iDatalink maestro that they'd been replacing. But by that point, they said that their "hands were tied" and they couldn't check if this radio had been the problem all along. So maybe this unit is junk? Maybe Crutchfield's tech support is junk? Maybe both? I'll never know for sure.

Very nice unit! I have 0 issues getting Android Auto to work in either wired or wireless mode. I strongly recommend you follow the connection instructions and upgrade the firmware (mine already was up-to-date). My battery does run down very quickly when in wireless mode, so I'd recommend plugging it in for longer trips, but that's NOT an issue related to the head unit at all! Lots of people don't like the volume buttons, but honestly I have no issue with them. Holding them down turns the vol up and down quickly enough, and it has separate bluetooth/navigation/call/music volume (prob more). Touch screen is responsive, audio sounds great, controls are intuitive, and it is nearly infinitely customizable. The screen is bright and auto dimming works very well at night. You can even turn the screen off if you want too, and it will pop right back on when you touch it. I connected this to an iDatalink Maestro so that I could preserve my steering wheel controls, and was pleasantly surprised at many new features this added. Not only do the steering controls all work as expected, but I now have access to tons of new gauges, computer error codes, factory amplifier settings, and other amazing overrides (like how long the interior lights stay on after you leave the car, ability to unlock all doors with remote). I am still finding new features. I connected a third party backup camera, and it works incredibly well. TLDR: This makes my 2009 vehicl

Buying the Pioneer 4660NEX was a good decision. Buying it from Crutchfield was a great decision. I worked with a super nice rep, Hunter, who pieced together every little thing I needed for the upgrade in my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. Seamless Apple Car Play, great sound, and an easy install with no guessing. I cannot say enough about this experience. Went from a classic car stereo (Single Din) to a full screen ( Double Din) and you cannot tell it was not that way from the factory. Totally clean. and letting Crutchfield make up your harness is the best 20 bucks you will ever spend. Had a few questions during install and called, spoke with another rep, wish I could remember his name, he cleared up any little issue I had. Stereo sounds great, Hunter picked out the speakers and didn't kill my budget. The wireless calling is crystal clear for me and the caller on the other end. It's like being in a 2021 Wrangler!

Just replaced my Alpine ILX-650 after the screen failed in just 1 year of use. I ripped the Alpine and amp out of my dash and installed the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX and haven't looked back. The sound quality out of the Pioneer is much fuller and sub response is unreal better over the Alpine even when the Alpine had it's amp installed. Not a good unit at all. Wireless CarPlay is not reliable. Wired CarPlay is not reliable. The back up can quality was much better on factory unit. The radio will just shut off at times while using Google maps making driving and trusting it very hard. Bluetooth sound is very bad sounds like you are talking into a can. Does not fit factory dash as advertised. Crutchfield tech support has no answers for all the issues. Tried to down load new firmware ( a real PAIN) btw. No luck. Don't invest in this unit.

Pros: Sound is good when not using Bluetooth

Cons: CarPlay does not work well poor. Poor sound on Bluetooth. Screws are not user friendly even setting the clock is a nightmare. Can not download updates without using a computer and a usb flash drive.

I only gave this a 3 star because of the call quality. The microphone or whatever is not as good as the original UCONNECT in the Jeep Wrangler JK, (2012) infinity Audio system . Calls sound analog like the person is talking from inside a bottle. Aside from that all the other features are great and very responsive. I did have this unit installed with Kickers speakers front and rear in my 2012 , 4 door JK. I also had this done at reputable Car audio shop to be sure my connections were done properly. At this price point I expected all features to be premium quality but that's not the case with this model.

Pros: All features

Cons: Call quality is poor

I love it so far but there is one issue I am constantly having is that the home screen after a couple days will revert back to factory display and button layout. No matter how many times I reconfigure the screen to my preferences it will eventually switch back on its own randomly. This is very annoying and I have about given up on trying to configure it. Yes it does have the latest software update as well. Highly recommend not bothering with carav it is almost impossible to setup as their are no clear instructions and the added features are not with the effort.

Pros: wireless car play, EQ adjustability, good amount of Features.

Cons: system bugs, Volume controls are laggy, carav is pointless and very difficult to set up and use.

This is a nice replacement for the stock unit. The iOS functionality is a bit better than Android. The Android connectivity is a little more glitchy and has some difficulty connecting wirelessly. There are also intermittent volume glitches where the volume will spike and then go back to normal as the music is connecting. No problem at all with iOS. Overall a nice unit with good sound. Connectivity glitches with Android make it a 4 instead of 5 star. If I were only using iOS, 5/5. This unit is basically a passthrough for your phone. Overall, a pretty good unit. I got this mainly for the wireless Android Auto feature, which works great, but due to how wireless Android Auto works (WiFi connection with receiver) the built-in Alexa voice assistant can not be used at the same time since it requires a hotspot connection from your phone, unless your phone can do both at the same time. Another downside with the built-in Alexa is Spotify is not supported. Pairing this unit with an Echo Auto will probably be your best bet if you want full Alexa functionality.

Pros: Seamless wireless Android Auto operation Easy to operate Responsive

Cons: Can't have wireless Android Auto and Alexa assistant at the same time Spotify is not supported through Alexa Slightly overpriced

Better than factory nav!

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Overall, I'm delighted with this unit! It replaced a Denso Black Tie factory navigation unit in my 2010 GMC Sierra w/ the Bose sound system and factory nav. It adds Wireless Android Auto (and Wireless Apple CarPlay) to the vehicle, and creates an overall well-integrated and high-tech feel for my truck. It's better looking and better-integrated than the original factory-headunit while being more responsive, more useful, and easier to use. I have been pleasantly surprised by Wireless Android Auto. I drive a lot of short suburban trips, and also occasional 9+ hour road trips. Also, the wireless mode is more reliable than the wired mode, because my Google Pixel XL 2's USB-C port is worn after several thousand insertions. A bump or jostle can interrupt the physical connection. Wireless mode has no such interruptions and has been rock solid. Wireless Android Auto works so well that I usually use Android Auto on a 5-10 minute drive across town, which is a pleasant surprise. Installation notes: * Since my vehicle has factory nav, an iDataLink ACC-NAC2 adapter allows me to use the factory GPS antenna, instead of the included Pioneer GPS antenna. * I still needed the Pioneer microphone, even though my truck has OnStar w/ Bluetooth. With the Pioneer mic, this makes OnStar completely obsolete for my purposes.

Pros: * Integration with my GMT900 (with Maestro RR2) is better-than-factory. * Wireless Android Auto is far more seamless than I expected.

Cons: * Parking Guidelines are not on by default and have to be turned on by pressing a button every time you back up. * Parking guidelines are unavailable on the Parking Assist screen. * My truck's OEM camera only turns the backup camera on while the truck is in reverse which makes it very difficult to adjust the parking guidelines. * The head unit reads the vehicle speed but does not implement speed-sensitive volume. All of these issues can be fixed through a future firm

First off - I really want to like this unit. Wireless CarPlay, dual cam input, audio possibilities, dual Bluetooth, and more are really promising. But for this price plus the additional cost for install accessories, this thing should not have the connectivity issues it has. I'm on the latest firmware update (1.3), which unlike other reviews was easy for me to install through USB. Every time I startup this unit, I have to go through this painful ritual of trying to get CarPlay to work. At several points I've even tried just doing USB CarPlay only, but that doesn't even work. There's also an issue where it won't let you adjust the volume on the unit when in CarPlay mode. It's greyed out. The only pros for now are the dual cameras, the ability to customize your Home Screen, the audio quality, and that it looks fairly factory and clean. If Pioneer can push an update that finally addresses the connectivity issues I and several others have experienced, I will be more than happy to update this review. Also this review does not reflect on Crutchfield, they're always phenomenal.

Pros: Audio quality Dual cam Clean look Maestro

Cons: CarPlay & Connectivity just don't work.

Almost went for 5500nex but couldn't be happier with this unit! Display is plenty large enough for me and it has an almost original look to it.

Pros: Feature rich Wireless CarPlay All the right kits available to preserve functions Wonderful sound options and quality

Cons: Instructions were not explicit but tech support is great. There is a lot of reading to get smart on everything if you self install, but it is all provided.

Purchased this unit to upgrade my factory system in my 2006 Silverado. The unit sounds good, not as good as the factory Bose but it will do. It is MOSTLY compatible with the steering wheel controls. It is advertised as wired AND wireless Apple CarPlay. That's the reason for the purchase. After 3 phones and numerous attempts I finally realized there is absolutely no way to get this unit to perform reliably with wireless CarPlay. A call to pioneer tech assist confirmed this. Per their tech support "we recommend using a cable as the wireless function is not reliable on this unit". WOW, it shouldn't be advertised as wireless, or priced that way if it doesn't work! Worse, I'm out of the exchange window so I'm stuck with a product that was misrepresented and absurdly priced. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND DON'T BUY THIS UNIT!

Pros: Many features

Cons: Apple CarPlay simply doesn't work wirelessly.

Expensive for what you get. Radio looks nice and has a lot of features. Sound quality is very good compared to original factory unit. Bluetooth and wi-fi connections are extremely flaky. Audio cuts out once in a while, wi-fi never auto connects. Attempt to connect wi-fi manually and 90% of time it fails. Connection randomly drops out and then have to reconnect. Haven't found a way to permanently hold where the icons are on the Home Screen, which is annoying. Volume controls/home button along the edge is so small, almost impossible to hit them correctly. It's rare the unit responds to the first push. Always several touches needed. Not super impressed, but in order to get HD radio, wireless car play and radio data system, had to spend some coin. May return for something else. Pioneer needs to work on these a bit. For as long as they have been around, I'd have expected better with the years of development they have had.

Pros: HD Radio Wireless car play Graphics decent

Cons: Flaky Bluetooth and Wi-fi connections Touch buttons too small

I have a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS, and the dash it a bit shallow for a traditional double-din with the harness, etc. This unit offered me a no-compromises way I could add an aftermarket stereo without cutting behind the dash! Setup was very easy and I had Android Auto working wirelessly within about 5 minutes once it was installed. The Crutchfield ready harness made a LOT of difference... but I have never installed a stereo before, and hooking up the deck itself took only minutes once I had the dash kit figured out. The capacitative screen is nice -- there is no lag -- and the auto brightness seems to work well (I noticed others have mentioned color getting washed out; I didn't have that issue... maybe because my driver's cabin is a cave? LOL). 100% would recommend this little guy to anyone who doesn't need CD/DVD capability to hit all the marks with no compromises. Really pleased!

Pros: Beautiful screen, seamless wireless Android Auto, easy set up

The fitment of the player is great, and it works well and has fantastic features....when it works. Connectivity is spotty at best, I had to restore the deck to factory and try to re-teach the WiFi and Bluetooth settings for my phone with horrible success, I've also tried doing software updates in both ways, USB I tried with a few different USB's just in case of incompatibility issues. Straight from the phone app also did not work, was able to download the update, but not transmit it to the deck, even after the restore. The install went well however, and the interface is nice, wireless/wired CarPlay works well as long as everything is connected. My old stereo had fantastic sound quality, and I was very happy to find that it was just as good or better(with the added adjustability)this new deck.

Pros: Great sound quality, great UI, smooth install with kit.

Cons: Spotty initial connectivity, and a little difficult to get the audio settings right .

Everything you want and need in a head unit, nothing most of us don't want or need (like a CD player), at a great price. It's overall size was about half that of the OEM unit I removed from my 2006 Chevy SSR, which left plenty of room in the dash for the harnesses and adapters for the new Bluetooth, Backup Camera, Sirius unit, etc. Buying the "ReadyHarness" from Crutchfield made installation quick and easy, as it was literally plug and play. No soldering, no crimping. Just plug the custom-tailored harness connectors to the new head unit and it's done! I added the Pioneer backup camera and now my 2006 truck is just as technology-capable as our new car.

Pros: Crutchfield "ReadyHarness" made the installation a breeze. Great sound, easy to use, connectivity is simple and easy.

Well I've had the same issue as everyone else. The connection is extremely unreliable. Additionally I'll let a box with an exclamation mark in the bottom left and I won't be able to do anything. I tried doing the most recent firmware update and it didn't work. My wife just wanted to have a nice radio in her Jeep after having a rental for a while that had Apple CarPlay. For this price this radio barely even works as a regular radio. Better off with the factory unit. I'd stay away.

Pros: Attractive design

Cons: Doesn't stay connected and doesn't even work as a radio perio

I really like this radio, it's a nice upgrade from the factory one that my Jeep came equipped with. The icons are large, and the screen looks nice, but there are a few issues that detract from it a bit. First, the volume controls are buttons, rather than a knob which I'm used to. I didn't think it would bother me so much when I looked at it, but it takes longer to change the volume with the buttons. Second, it has some connectivity issues sometimes where it randomly stops connecting to my phone in the middle of a drive. It connects back again later on. Lastly, the dimmer just doesn't seem to work on my unit. I've tried to set it to dim automatically and as well as at certain times of the day and it doesn't ever dim. I ended up having to turn the regular lights down low just so it wasn't so blindingly bright at night, but it's kind of difficult to see during the day with it that low. Overall, it's a nice unit, but I'm not sure if it was worth the money it costed. Also, the install for this one ended up being more difficult than I expected for my Jeep Wrangler and I ended up having to take it somewhere to have it professionally installed. I bought a different one from Crutchfield for a different car in the past and had no trouble installing that one, but this one was a little more work to install.

Pros: Large icons Arrived quickly Screen looks nice

Cons: Volume is controlled by buttons rather than a knob Connectivity issues Technical issues with the dimmer

Not Yet Fully Baked - Wireless AA Woes

2016 Jeep Renegade

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Looking at the specs of this radio, it checks off nearly all the things I was looking for in a head unit for my Jeep Renegade. It had a sizable screen, supported wireless Android Auto, could launch Android Auto automatically, supported iDatalink, and had the RCA outs I wanted for future upgrades. The shallow depth of this unit meant that I could pair it with the Metra 95-6518B Double Din Installation Kit (made for a Dodge Ram) to get a STOCK appearance in the Jeep Renegade, not that ugly bumped-out Metra kit! This was huge! Honestly, it's the main reason that I've been sticking with the unit. Installation was a breeze. Working with less depth made it a bit easier than installing my old Kenwood DDX9905S. iDatalink setup was the same as always, though Pioneer doesn't support Pause on the steering wheel like Kenwood does. Here's where the fun starts. When *wireless* AA starts up, no sound comes from the unit, including menu beeps in the unit itself. If I start ANY other source, it will produce sound and menu beeps. If *wired* AA starts, everything behaves as normal. Also, the color on the screen is washed out and oversaturated in wired & wireless Android Auto. Pioneer support initially had me return my first unit, I purchased another and the issue existed on that as well. Crutchfield support very aptly pointed to this being a Pioneer firmware issue. I am on the latest firmware and another call to Pioneer reported the bugs.

Pros: Shallow depth Fast Android Auto Startup Interface Customization iDatalink Support

Cons: Wireless Firmware Updating Process Wireless Android Auto Bugs Only one USB port No iDatalink Pause button support on steering wheel Buggy firmware - Unfinished Product

A great stereo and OEM-like fit and finish in my 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid Limited (using the Metra 99-5814HG Dash Kit). Wireless CarPlay, wireless audio streaming, tons of custom options for getting your sound just right (equalizer, sound delays for individual speakers..). Alexa hands-free options is great for controlling the stereo and answering any question - just like when using Alexa at home. The back-up cam turns right on even before the system has fully booted (which only takes a few seconds). Installation wasn't easy but wasn't too hard. I was able to re-use the factory Sirius antenna by purchasing a small adapter. I also purchased the iDatalink Maestro which retains all the steering wheel controls. I HIGHLY recommend paying Crutchfield $25 to do the "ReadyHarness" service - they do all the wiring harness connections for you, so all you have to do it plug it into the existing radio connections and then into your new unit - very easy. Saves a ton of time and frustration. The unit looks so sleek and great in the dash - but no volume knob, only buttons (you can also use the steering wheel controls). It only took a few trips to get used to this - no big deal once you're used to using the buttons. I cross-shopped the similarly priced JVC and Kenwood units, but bought this one because of the features and the compact chassis which makes stuffing all the cords and re-installing a breeze.

Installed on my 2017 Subaru Forester with Harmon Kardon speakers and Nav. After getting tired of using my iPhone for GPS and Spotify, this made life so much easier. The sound is incredible with this radio and the wireless CarPlay is so convenient. Used the Maestro instructions for the 7" 2017 Subaru Forester (even tho the screen is 6.8") and it worked fine. You must keep the black telematics unit hooked up otherwise you'll lose sound in the front two speakers, it's a tight fit so I shoved it in diagonally and up behind the Pioneer. Was able to hide the mic wire and the gps wire nicely in the black weather stripping on the driver side door

Pros: Sound is excellent, if you buy the HD antennae splice it with the blue and white navigation control wire, sleek design, so far no problem with glare

Cons: Can't set the clock time (it's set by the gps so you can only choose the UTC time zone), had to military splice the brown wire into the starlink pink wire, tight fit with the black Subaru telematics box (had to shove it in diagonally and up), wasn't able to reuse the stock Subaru GPS antennae cable bc the connector didn't fit into the Pioneer so had to use the GPS that came with the Pioneer

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I've recently upgraded my 2015 Ford Escape with the Pioneer DMN-W4660NEX and the overall upgrade is nice but a little underwhelming (more on that below). Overall, it looks good, the audio is great, touchscreen is nice, and it has CarPlay, which is all I really wanted. The negatives: 1- It absolutely will not firmware update with the App. I've tried, factory resets, reconnects, it just will not update. The Pioneer mobile app is awfully cheap and it just keeps telling me to try again. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll never have a firmware update. 2- the external mic included is causing a lot of audio feedback to the caller. It's an extreme disappointment. I've pulled the radio, verified the connections, called Crutchfield, and all I can assume is the mic is just cheap. I'm looking for a new external mic now but it's a shame I'll have to pull the unit out again. 3- This is more of my lack of knowledge on the intricacies of hardwired CarPlay but you actually can't transfer video over CarPlay. You have to use the (not included) HDMI connection in the head unit plugged into a (not included) mini HDMI Adapter for your phone. No blame on Pioneer for this one, obviously it was my mistake in not knowing how it worked, but I probably would have selected a different unit if I knew I had to run all those other cables. 4- My stock rear view camera no longer works. Everything is connected and reconnected but no video for my camera.

Pros: CarPlay In-Car GPS Customizable Backgrounds

Cons: Cheap Mobile App Too many specialty cables to run Provided Microphone causes feedback loop Doesn't support stock backup camera after all

Love this unit, works flawlessly so far. Takes getting used to the controls due to no actual buttons but its not a make or break deal. My biggest gripe is the the slow turn on sequence. First the NEX screen comes on, next the warning and finally your system comes on. If overall this was 2 seconds faster id give it 5 stars. Another thing the metra kit that came along with this was garbage! if i had used it the radio would sit back 1" or more easy. I like the flush mount look. Ended up having to hobble together a Scoshe kit and this metra kit to get the flush look i wanted. Its not 100% flush but 10x better than if i had used the metra kit. Also used the Pioneer back up cam and its incredible to say the least!

The good the bad and the ugly

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

Installed in 2011 Toyota Tundra non-JBL The Good; Nice receiver overall. Screen is clear and bright enough to see even in the very bright New Mexico sun. Controls take some getting used to, but once you get used to them they provide fairly easy access to everything the unit can do. But, the controls are far from what I would call intuitive. Install wasn't too bad thanks to Crutchfield's harness but, because there were so many possible connections that weren't required, I did need to work with Crutchfield Tech Support (worth twice the price differential that Crutchfield charges). A big shout out to Oakley, who was very patient and knowledgeable with helping me get where I needed to go. I had purchased a backup camera from another source (Crutchfield said none of theirs would fit my vehicle?). The bad; I never could get the factory USB/AUX ports to work with this unit. I don't understand why no one can make an adapter compatible with a vehicle as popular as a Toyota pickup. Also, the controls lag a little too much. USB C is under used with no features to set it apart from USB A connections on other units and there is only 1 USB C. The ugly; The phone audio is barely tolerable. Voice going out is good, but coming back, you can almost not understand whoever you are talking. For a unit as pricey as this, you would think Pioneer could do better.

Pros: - usable controls and brilliant visual on the display - Good feature set - USB C (Even if it is under-used - Upgradable OS, so hopefully Pioneer will have upgrades to fix some of the shortcomings - competitive price

Cons: - Only one USB In (Even if it is USB C) - No way to use factory Aux/USB in-dash connectors - Phone audio out makes hands free barely usable - Too much lag in controls response
