About the Pioneer GM-ME600X6
Big sound at sea
Big sound at sea
It takes a lot of amplifier power for your music to be heard clearly over the sounds of the waves, wind, and engine noise. Pioneer's ME-Series GM-ME600X6 six-channel marine amplifier can put out up to 100 watts RMS per channel, enough for everyone in and around your boat to hear the music. You could bridge a couple channels together to power a sub with up to 200 watts RMS while sending four speakers 100 watts each. You could also use this amp in 3-channel bridged mode to power a trio of high-performance loudspeakers with up to 200 watts RMS each. This marine-rated amp's compact size also makes it a great option for ATVs and UTVs.
Normal and high power modes
The GM-ME600X6 can be switched between high power and normal modes, so you can match the power level to your speakers or your volume preferences.
Normal mode: 75 watts RMS x 6 at 4 ohms, 100 watts RMS x 6 at 2 ohms, 150 watts RMS x 3 bridged at 4 ohms.
High power mode: 100 watts RMS x 6 at 4 ohms, 100 watts RMS x 6 at 2 ohms, 200 watts RMS x 3 bridged at 4 ohms.
Pioneer's ME-Series sweetness
This amplifier's normal mode output power matches up perfectly with Pioneer's ME-Series TS-ME650FS and TS-ME650FC marine speakers, which are each rated for 75 watts RMS.
More info
The amp features high- and low-pass filters to tune its output for your speakers and subs, and make them sound great. Conformal-coated circuit boards and rubber-sealed connector and control panel covers keep water and dirt away from sensitive areas.

Features
Marine Amplifier: The Pioneer GM-ME600X6 is a Class-D 6-channel amplifier that can provide 100 watts RMS per channel into a 4Ω or 2Ω load and is designed for the marine environment. The marine amp carries an IP67 rating and is SAE J1171 certified for external ignition protection of marine electrical devices. All connection terminals are ABYC/NMMA compliant for marine use.
CTA-2006 Compliant: CTA-2006 is a system of testing and measurement for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for measuring an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring amplifier power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured over a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz (for full range amplifiers), with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N). Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4 ohms. CTA-2006 standards allow consumers to compare amplifiers and receivers under the same conditions (apples to apples).
CTA-2006 Specifications:
- Power Output:
- Normal Mode: 75 watts RMS x 6 (@4Ω, 14.4V, 20Hz-20kHz, ≤ 1.0% THD+N)
- High-Power Mode: 100 watts RMS x 6 (@4Ω, 14.4V, 20Hz-20kHz, ≤ 1.0% THD+N)
- Signal to Noise Ratio: 75dBA
Other Specifications:
- Power Output:
- Normal Mode:
- 75 watts RMS x 6 (@4Ω, 14.4V, 20Hz-20kHz, ≤1.0% THD)
- 100 watts RMS x 6 (@2Ω, 14.4V, 20Hz-20kHz, ≤1.0% THD)
- 150 watts RMS x 3 Mono (@4Ω, 14.4V, 20Hz-20kHz, ≤1.0% THD)
- High-Power Mode:
- 100 watts RMS x 6 (@4Ω, 14.4V, 20Hz-20kHz, ≤1.0% THD)

Amplifier Topology: The GM-ME600X6 is a Class-D amplifier that features advanced conformal-coated PCBs for protection from moisture, dust, corrosion, and contamination. The amplifier's unique design allows it to operate in either Normal or High-Power mode (switchable for each set of channels), depending on the wattage rating of your connected speakers.
Speaker Level Input: Three sets of RCA input jacks can be used for preamp level or speaker level input signals. If connecting the source unit's speaker wire to the input jacks, use the included Speaker-to-RCA adapters. When using a speaker level input signal, it may not be necessary to connect a remote turn-on lead because of the amplifier's signal sensing function.
Protection Control System (PCS): The GM-ME600X6 features Pioneer's Protection Control System (PCS) that uses a microprocessor to provide thermal protection as well as controlled current and voltage protection.
Controls: The Pioneer marine amplifier's control panel includes a screw-down cover for protection from the elements. An Allen key is provided for accessing the top-panel controls.
- Gain: rotary control for each set of channels (A, B, & C); adjustment range depends on Input Sens setting; 200mV to 6.5V (preamp level) and 800mV to 16V (speaker level)
- Input Select: 3-position switch; options for 2CH, 4CH, and 6CH based on number of RCA input channels used.
- Input Sens: 2-position switch to select RCA or Speaker-Level input type
- Frequency: rotary dials for each set of channels (A, B, and C) with 21 steps for Precise Frequency Selection of the crossover point; range from 50Hz to 500Hz
- Crossover: 3-position switch for each set of channels (A, B, and C); LPF/Off/HPF
- Speaker Settings: Two 2-position switches for each set of channels:
- Mono and 2CH: determines how each set of channels will be configured - stereo or bridged mono
- Norm & High: determines the wattage range of each set of channels; switches for Channels A, B, and C can each be adjusted independently
Connections:
- RCA Inputs: three pair of stereo RCA inputs; used for both speaker level and preamp level signals
- Speaker Outputs: six pair of set-screw terminals provide the speaker outputs - each accommodating up to 8 ga. wire
- Power & Ground: two set-screw terminals can accept 4 ga. wire (recommended)
- Remote Turn-on: used to activate the amplifier if using RCA (low-level) inputs; accepts up to 8 ga. wire
- Fuses: two 40-amp ATO fuses are installed on the amp's chassis; a protective rubber cover helps keep out moisture and dirt
