It sounded great. But unfortunately it wasn't a comfortable fit in my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD Crew Cab. It was too high and long to fit under the back seat in the center on or across the slight floor hump or under a seat even if didn't I have the jack under one side and the amplifier under the other. And it was too high by only about a half inch behind the rear seat, barely too much to keep the seat from being in normal position and causing the back of the seat to rest against the top corner of the speaker cabinet. I was afraid it might damage the back of the seat over time. So I had to return it.
Pros: Sounded Great
Cons: Wasn't an ideal fit for my truck.

This sub and box is great. It fits right behind the seats in my regular cab pick up with plenty of room.
Pros: Compact, great sound

Bought this without the benefit of many reviews out there yet, but very happy with it! The price is very reasonable and the sound is excellent. Another big factor for me was the dimensions of this box. I got it to fit behind the rear passenger seat of my 2017 Tacoma. There is a storage space there and I did not want to have to modify the truck at all like I have seen others do to fit a sub box back there. It fits perfectly! I used the provided bracket to attach it using an existing bolt in that space so it is secure and I didn't have to drill even a single hole in the truck. I've got it hooked up to a Kenwood x802-5 amp and Morel Maximo speakers front and back. Still using the original head unit for now. Sound is great. It can produce the tight bass hits and also the more sustained bass frequencies that can get a little too loose with some subs. I listen to everything from electronic to rap to rock to oldies. I did not get it for loudness, rather to free up the Morel speakers and it more than accomplished that! I see this as a value buy vs the JL stealthbox made for the Tacoma which costs $400+ more than this Pioneer. It can handle quite a bit of power, so I imagine it could get loud if that's what you want it to do and you are limited on space. Pioneer provides some rubber feet with this box so you could mount it up/ down/ etc. Construction is solid and the speaker grill is very sturdy so you should not have to worry much about it if you mount in a cargo area.
Pros: Price, Pioneer quality, versatile sound and mounting options.
Cons: None so far
