I like it. It's not a trunk rattling sub, but that's what lm was going for. Just nice clean not overpowering bass.

More bass than I needed, which is a good thing because you can always adjust the output at the amp. Powering it with 600 watts @ 2 Ohms. I just wish Pioneer included a protective grille.
Pros: Loud and clear
Cons: No Grille

So I'm putting a system in my girlfriends car, a single 12. I have a previous generation Pioneer TSW3003 in my truck that will be going in her car, powered by a JBL amp I also purchased. I was a bit skeptical of this D series sub because the design is a bit different than the previous model, but I went for it anyway. Btw the 3003 replaced an old 1000 watt rms Premier, so that sub had a lot to live up to, which it has! Anyway, I just hooked this D series sub up, and WOW! It gets busy, and is musical! It's loud, but the sound quality is very good. My box is 1 cubic foot, and I'm using an older 850 rms Kenwood mono amp to power it. I have the amps output set to 34.64 vac (600 watts rms) right now, and I dare say it's louder and for sure more accurate than the 3003. I may try to run the full 850 rms to this sub when it breaks in, but I don't think it's necessary at all, I'm completely happy as is. Good sub for rap, great for rock! Now I have to get the old sub in a ported box for the girlfriends car. I highly recommended Pioneer subwoofers, and Crutchfield! Crutchfield, thank you for the fast delivery and all the awesome customer support over the years.
Pros: Loud, tight response. Very musical. Responds to power well. Well made and looks sharp.
Cons: None

Best subwoofer I've ever bought!
Omg! I have owned a lot of subs over the years - JL, Rockford, Alpine, kicker, and many others and these really surprised me. I would definetly recomend this subwoofer to anybody looking for an amazing sub.
Pros: It sounds clean, tight and loud.
Cons: None
