Perfect match for your factory stereo

While you can pair these speakers with an aftermarket stereo or an amp, they're best used to make the most of factory radio power. Respectable sensitivity and power handling mean you'll hear the boost in loudness and clarity you've been missing for so long. With Pioneer's G-Series speakers in your ride, you'll want to bring back old favorite tracks into the rotation just to hear details you've never noticed before.

Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.

Product Research

Features

Woofers: Each speaker has a mica-reinforced IMPP (injection-molded polypropylene) woofer. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness to improve linearity and clarity. Additionally, the cones are lightweight and rigid to decrease distortion.

Surrounds: The woofers use rubber treated cloth surrounds for improved durability.

Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1-3/16" PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) balanced dome tweeter for crisp, clear highs.

Mounting: The speakers can be mounted in a metric 4"x6" opening, or, using the supplied adapter brackets, mounted in a U.S. standard 4"x6" opening. When bottom mounting, the included bottom mount adapter should also be used.

These speakers should work fine. I installed them in my 91 Sonoma with the factory head unit.

I've never had issues with harm to factory radio when changing to different ohm loads. Generally just reduced volumes present when changing impedance.

Q
I've purchased new speakers to replace my factory speakers. They say 4ohm on them and my factory speakers say 10ohm. Will the 4ohm work with my factory radio?

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Why won't these fit a 1994 Jeep yj?
[ James  Oct 29, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
Hi James, thank you for you question! We do have those Pioneer speakers marked as a non-fitting speaker in your Jeep due to the protrusion of the tweeter in the Pioneer. It is going to be a little too tall for your stock location, and could cause issues with replacement of your dash assembly. We do have a few other speaker options that will fit the corners of your dash, however. One of our friendly Advisors will be more than happy to help you out with that, and answer any other questions you may have! Chat with us online or by phone at 1-800-324-9695.
