Features

Woofers: Each speaker has a mica-reinforced IMPP (injection-molded polypropylene) woofer. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness to improve linearity and clarity. Additionally, the cones are lightweight and rigid to decrease distortion.

Surrounds: The woofers use rubber treated cloth surrounds for improved durability.

Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1-3/16" PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) balanced dome tweeter for crisp, clear highs.

Mounting: The speakers can be mounted in a metric 4"x6" opening, or, using the supplied adapter brackets, mounted in a U.S. standard 4"x6" opening. When bottom mounting, the included bottom mount adapter should also be used.

my factory speakers are 10 ohm....will 4 ohm speakers be ok to use or will they draw too much and burn out the stock radio in a 1994 vette ???

You will be increasing the cureent draw on your amp by over 2 times. You should use caution making this change.

I've never had issues with harm to factory radio when changing to different ohm loads. Generally just reduced volumes present when changing impedance.

Why won't these fit a 1994 Jeep yj?

Hi James, thank you for you question! We do have those Pioneer speakers marked as a non-fitting speaker in your Jeep due to the protrusion of the tweeter in the Pioneer. It is going to be a little too tall for your stock location, and could cause issues with replacement of your dash assembly. We do have a few other speaker options that will fit the corners of your dash, however.
