The TS-G6844R 6"x8" speakers feature nimble polypropylene woofers that offer plenty of punch, along with film balanced dome tweeters that'll really brighten up the sound in your car. Grilles are not included — factory grilles are appropriate for most installations.

Features
IMPP Woofers: Each woofer is constructed from injection-molded polypropylene (IMPP). This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. Additionally the cones are lightweight and rigid for decreased distortion and superior bass response.
Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1-3/16" PEI (Polyetherimide) balanced dome tweeter for crisp, clear highs.

How do these speakers handle bass? My speakers in my 2004 F150 are good, but when I want to turn it up the bass tends to make the vocals rough and scratchy. Do these speakers come with a good amount of bass but also clear vocals?

If your looking for a lot of bass you should look at getting an amp and a sub or two, but they do a great job otherwise.

Glad you asked. I purchased these for my sons 1st truck, a standard cab '02 Ranger. We replaced fhe head unit from a factory am/fm only to great Pioneer deck. We first bought these then he wanted more so we added kickers right behind seat. The ones in his truck sound amazing. They handle bass well for what he listens to. He listens to country and rock. Theyay not handle bass demands of rap. He is happy. If you can go bigger like 6x9 go for it. Best thing is crutchfield stands behind everything.

It was a year ago when I bought these, but from what I remember, yes. They come with covers, but I did not use them. They went in place of the factory speakers in my truck. Sorry for getting back to you so late. Been real busy.

Maribeth, I have found almost all do not have covers as the utilize the factory grills. These were bought for my son's first pickup and they sound great.

Hi there is no covers with speakers they will go in place where old vehicle speakers are behind doors. There should be a cover on your door that is built in. You have to tak door apart and unscrew 2-3 screws on old speaker and pull the two wires off connections. Then match the new speaker screw holes up with existing screws and put the two wires back on.

sound great, plenty of bass for such a little speaker. Simple installation and makes a huge improvement over stock speakers.
