Customizable display and excellent video performance

The 6.1" LCD screen on this Pioneer can be customized with variable color choices and backgrounds. Just draw it on the screen with your finger and you've got it. And you can browse video files through thumbnail images — just touch them to check out a sneak preview.
The AVH-X3600BHS plays DVDs in bright, clear detail when you're parked, and when you're on the road, you can entertain your passengers by sending a movie from the receiver to a rear-seat screen — they'll thank you during those long trips (check the "Details" tab for full information on cables required for video playback from iPhones). And of course you can plug in a rear-view camera to play it safe in crowded parking lots.

Want to keep your car's steering wheel audio controls?

In most cars, you'll need an adapter to retain those controls with this car stereo. You'll see the adapters that work with your vehicle when you add this receiver to your cart.

    Terrible product.

Reading Coach from Virginia on 9/25/2015

If I could take this out of my car and return it - I surely would. The touch tabs are nearly non-functioning, the touch "buttons" for the radio are impossible to use. But worst of all, the whole thing "hiccups" about once a week resulting in a loss of all presets and settings. I really can not recommend this at all.

Pros: I can't think of a single good thing about this.

Cons: Touch tabs are not responsive Touch buttons for stations are also non responsive Whole unit hiccups once a week and loses all settings.

    I like it

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this to replace my previous AVIC F900BT (no longer made). This one has far fewer options than the AVIC, but I don't miss any of them. The AVH 3600BHS boots much faster than the AVIC and is much easier to change from one input to another. It also integrates with my phone much better. It was very easy to install with the car specific parts that came with it (thank you Crutchfield) and it sounds great.

Pros: Looks nice. Easy to install. Sounds great. Runs phone apps directly from the screen.

Cons: Difficult to see in sunlight (I drive a convertible and there is no use even trying to read the screen during the day. I had to disconnect the dimmer wire so I could turn the headlights on during the day and still have some display.) When in App mode, I need to set the "mix" option every time so I can still listen to the radio while using the map app. It isn't possible to install the separate GPS and still use the AppRadio iPhone features.

    Works Great

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

When I went to review this, window pops up saying it is no longer available. So take this as a general review of a Pioneer product. Value - 5 stars. For $300, I got a lot of features. It had more features than I can use at the moment. I haven't purchased a rear-view camera or back seat monitor + speakers for the DVD player. I haven't bought a navigation (already have a separate Garmin) or Sirius module (I'll never go back to them). Sound quality - 5 stars. WWWAAYYY better than factory OEM unit (RSX Type S comes with Bose sound system and subwoofer, radio is not Bose). I just installed the radio, and I actually could hear the subwoofer on the freeway. RSX is a noisy car. Having an EQ to adjust brought back memories of my sound system 2 cars ago, dual 8 inch subs. Ease of use - 5 stars. I haven't spent time trying every adjustment, but the stuff I need - cell phone BT, EQ, switching inputs, finding HD radio stations. listening to stuff on USB memory sticks are really easy. Responds well to my finger touches. Coolness factor - 5 stars. I didn't want a way flashy unit that some thief passing by would be tempted to steal. When it's off, looks subdued. Changing colors of background LEDs let me match the red of the car instrument panel. Display dims when headlights go on - I don't get blinded at night. Daytime brightness is mostly OK except at high noon. Build quality - too soon to tell.

Pros: Sound quality. Touch menu on screen looks complicated but actually works once you get used to it. Changing colors of background LEDs is great, can pick red to match the red on my Instrument Panel. Display dims when headllights go on. Some strong logic in the wiring connections that make it almost impossible to display a DVD movie on the radio if the parking brake is not set, 2 cycles. I'm all for safety and I see way too many distracted drivers on the ro

Cons: Because the car had a factory installed Bose amp, I had to use Crutchfield provided adapter between speaker output and car wiring harness. Setting and adjusting took some time. And I noticed the back of the radio got warm when I let it play for 10 minutes before re-assembly. Might have been better to have RCA cables from radio preamp output to the adapter, I think the radio has a "speaker output off" feature to avoid the heat made by the internal amp.

You get a load of features for the money, if you can still get one of these units I would recommend getting one.

    Jason from Colorado on 7/10/2015

This unit is junk, after only having the unit installed for about 6 weeks the blue tooth audio is screwing up. It will give a noise through the speakers for 7-10 minutes then the audio will finally work. To top it off, I have to spend money out of my pocket to ship the item to be repaired. I also have to do without a radio in my car for 3-6 weeks, they will not allow me to purchase replacement and send this unit in, so I don't have to go without a stereo for that amount of time. I may just throw the thing away and order a different brand. I own many pioneer products, by after this experience I will never purchase a pioneer again.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

So I had purchased and installed the Blaupunkt New Jersey in my 2012 Tundra....Had problems with the Bluetooth so returned it for this Pioneer unit. Let me start by saying EVERYONE at Crutchfield is AWESOME! No matter what my call was for, it was answered or resolved within a matter of minutes with knowledgeable personable people that spoke English!...The radio is awesome. Install was a piece of cake - even as I added on the Sirius tuner a week later - it just plugged in and worked with no problems. Sound, display, controls are all great and easy to navigate. At times the connection between my Anrdoid and my wifes Iphone causes a little haggle - but it works itself out. The Mixtrax program is not as self explanatory as it makes it seem, but once its figured out its a pretty cool mix feature. The sound options are pretty standard and easy to use.....the video quality is pretty sweet too. Overall I can't see any reason not to recommend this unit.

    Pros: Display, sound, features

Cons: Once you figure out the navigation of screens and how to use the options it's pretty simple

Easy Install with the included kit. Surprisingly, everything worked as it should first time around. Sound quality is fantastic. Screen is clear, but the buttons on the screen are a little small and sometimes there is just way to many of them at once.

    Pros: great sound, easy install

Cons: small buttons on touch screen. confusing options.

    Good stuff

    2014 Toyota Tacoma
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall, a good HU to replace the OEM HU in my 2014 Toyota Tacoma. Been in my truck for almost two weeks now and so far so good. Really only two complaints so far: 1. It can't read info off of a store-bought CD, so there's no track info displayed. 2. If I plug something in to the AUX jack of the truck (such as my wife's iPhone) and use the AUX function in the HU, there's a constant warning message about not viewing video while driving. Very annoying.

    Pros: Feature-rich, good price.

Cons: Even with the aftermarket Metra 95-8235 Dash Kit, the HU doesn't quite fit as well as the OEM HU. Spent A LOT of time trying to get the fit just right and no luck.

    2008 Toyota Tundra
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced the stock audio receiver with the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS and have been very happy with the new unit. The technicians at Crutchfield were very helpful in answering my questions and there was no wait time when I phone them. All parts were supplied and the installation was reasonably simple.

Pros: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS has all of the features that I was looking for. The bluetooth works great. I had read reviews that said that the audio from the unit was noisy but no one that I have talked to has complained and everyone says they can hear me clearly. I mounted the microphone in the overhead console of my Toyota Tundra where the stock microphone would have been installed. Audio of the unit is great and I am very happy with the HD system.

Cons: I had a problem connecting the backup camera. When I plugged in the camera there was no video image on the screen without applying a firm pressure on the connector to the receiver. I tried three different video cables and three different cameras before I determined that this was the problem. I called Crutchfield and told them about my problem and they sent a replacement unit that arrived within three days.

    Good Unit for the price

    2006 Toyota Sequoia
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Swapped out the factory radio in my wife's '06 Toyota Sequoia for this unit. Installation was fairly easy for the unit, but the steering wheel controls and factory amp integration took a little more thought. Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but I'd prefer a volume knob over buttons. Overall a positive experience with a few annoyances.

Pros: Sound is better than the stock stereo. Bluetooth works flawlessly with my Android, both with calls and streaming music. Album covers and other metadata displays as expected. The USB works equally as well, displaying covers, song title, album, etc. Screen is bright and clear except in bright sunlight.

Cons: The incessant beeping while turning the volume up or down is unnecessary at best, incredibly annoying at worst. To make matters worse, THE BEEPING CAN"T BE TURNED OFF. I still get dirty looks from my wife when I'm in the car with her. Touchscreen is usable, but a bit clunky. I'm not sure what the gold-standard in car audio touchscreens is, so this may be normal. Do not expect anything like a modern smartphone touch experience.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Unit fits Silverado after removing part of dash support. Modules need to be tucked in as the unit is going into the dash. Once dash is on it fits great. Not a great way to place mirroring cord. So far happy with the features, too many to learn in a few days.

Pros: finds Bluetooth easily, mirror music works great, haven't tried nav yet. Finds lots of stations, intuitive set up of most functions.

Cons: dash support needs cut for unit to fit. Lower support needs trimmed as well due to flush fit of factory plugs vs aftermarket sticking out.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great product. Has all of the features I was looking for at a good price. The sound quality is much improved over my factory stereo. The Bluetooth works excellent with my Android phone. No issues streaming music or making/receiving calls.

Pros: Lots of features including built in Bluetooth, XM capabilities and of course the DVD player.

Cons: I only have two minor con's. First, there is some occasional variability in the volume level when switching between different functions. Next, at times the screen is difficult to see depending on how sunny it is outside even after trying to make adjustments to account for it. This is common with many screens in sunlight but it is something that I've noticed.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This unit is incredible! I installed this in my 2005 Hyundai Elantra Hatchback GT, and it works AMAZING! When I watched reviews of it on YouTube, I didn't really expect a whole lot more than what I saw, but when I first installed it and turned it on, I was quickly impressed because it greatly exceeded my expectations! Seeing this unit operate on YouTube is one thing, but actually having this in your car is 100,000 times better! On top of this unit, I am also VEERRRYYYY happy with this website! They automatically throw in all of the required install parts for your specific vehicle, for FREE. If I would have bought this unit from anywhere else, I would still be searching around for the correct parts to install this, and probably would have spent much more. So I am very glad I bought this from Crutchfield. I will definitely use this website in the future. If you are on the fence of whether you should buy this or not, DO IT. It is so worth it! It is an amazing unit!

Pros: Vivid screen, multiple animated themes, color changing LED buttons, free install parts from crutchfield, easy installation, INSANELY fast shipping, I can go on forever about the pros of this unit and crutchfield's service.....AMESOME PURCHASE!

    Cons: Nothing

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I traded in my old 2012 Wrangler for a new 2015 Wrangler and opted for the base stereo as I knew up front that I would be replacing the stereo in it. I went for a Sony in my 2012....and it was ok. But after installing this new Pioneer unit all I can say is...WOW! Sounds great, was easy to adjust and use without reading the instructions, and I am just super impressed with what I got for the money spent! I haven't swapped out my speakers yet, but did hook up a 10" Rockford Fosgate sub in a sealed enclosure...and the sub does make the system that much better, but even when I turned the sub completely off I was blown away with what this stereo has done to the stock speakers. Clarity is one thing this Pioneer has!

Pros: Very user friendly! Intuitive controls! Really makes my car sound bigger than it is!

Cons: Other than a tough install with the steering wheel controls module which has nothing to do with the head unit, this seems to be a great radio!

    No Longer Happy

    Panfire from Nevada on 5/12/2015

I have the predecessor, the 3500, to this model. Initially I liked it as much as the other posters on here but I am quite unhappy now. First, the unit will lose power for a split second randomly and it loses everything, all the Sirius and radio station presets, time, etc. and worst of all, all the sound settings. It takes about 20 minutes to dial in the sound on this thing and I have cussed at it numerous times and will not buy another Pioneer because of this issue (I'm currently looking for its replacement). The default sound settings appear geared to a teenager overpowering the bass and nothing else. When using the iPod, you choose a song from the iPod as usual and then if you want another artist, it takes five commands to get back to the artist selection, which is ridiculous! The built in microphone system is so bad that it's not usable-nobody can understand you. The Loudness function has three settings, low to high and they're all terrible, making very dramatic changes to the sound and not a true loudness function. On the plus side, once the EQ is set and the subwoofer dialed in, it sounds great, but when it loses power it all goes away and I have to start over. I've triple checked every connection and they are solid. This doesn't happen to anything else in the car. If I were you I would search for a different unit before considering this model, nearly identical to the 3500

Pros: Sounds great when it's dialed in. Has lots of features, especially over the factory head unit. Marries well to JL Audio amp and speakers-which I Highly recommend! Great Bluetooth connectivity to my iPhone that doesn't lose it's settings; imagine that?!

Cons: No memory of your settings (it's called EPROM, Pioneer!). Terrible loudness features. Loses power intermittently. Horrible iPod GUI. Appears to be made for kids with no discerning ear to good sound.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this unit for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. Using a double DIN radio in this truck required some custom modification to the dash bezel, but it was well worth it. Wiring the unit with the included Metra harness was easy. Just match the colored wires, solder and heat shrink. I am currently using the head unit with the factory speakers, but will be adding an amp and infinity speakers shortly. The audio quality is surprisingly good. Blows the factory radio out of the water. Be aware that the manual recommends against driving 2 ohm speakers directly. As for the head unit itself, I'm totally pleased with it. The initial set-up was very easy and I was able to accomplish most of it without having to refer to the users manual. This is my first experience with HD radio and I'm pretty impressed. My other main source of music is a USB drive that I've loaded with about 800 songs. The head unit builds a database and allows easy sorting and playback of all the songs on the drive. I typically just put it on shuffle and let it play. I plan on adding a generic back-up camera in the future. In all, this is a full featured unit with excellent sound at a price that can't be beat. The controls are intuitive and easy to figure out. Crutchfield, of course, was outstanding. Great purchase.

Pros: Very good quality audio HD radio Easy to understand controls accepts optional Sirius tuner & back-up camera

We have loved our new stereo from the beginning. We did have problems with the first amp interface and called customer service and they sent a replacement right away. After we received the new one and installed everything the head unit is amazing. We absolutely loved the price and the overall experience of dealing with Crutchfield. We will definitely be buying from them for any of our vehicle needs.

Pros: User friendly and pretty strait forward on what everything does.

Cons: The add-ons are expensive like the mirror link and nav gear.

    2008 Chevrolet Silverado
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit. I replaced my factory (none-Bose) deck in my 2008 Silvarado. I installed this along with the Scosche module adapter and the METRA install kit. Some things to consider from my install: When installing a back-up camera, connect the purple/white wire from the pioneer to pin 11 of the brown connecter under the dash (to the left of the steering coulomb). Crutchfield tech support told me it went to the red wire on the Scosche module but that didn't work. Not a huge deal, but it took me forever trying to figure out the camera before I called tech support. The Metra dash kit was a so-so fit. I had to trim a few corners to get it to fit like I wanted to. Also, do not connect the yellow/black wire from the pioneer to the yellow/black wire of the module. Your unit will stay in "mute" and will not work correctly. Just leave it disconnected. None the less, I'm very pleased with this unit and also Crutchfield tech support. The UI is nice, my Galaxy phone pairs up with it nicely, and the sound system in my Silverado never sounded better.

Pros: Easy to use, sounds great, awesome tech support, Pioneer quality is exceptional.

Cons: Directions could be more "vehicle specific" but I know thats asking a lot.

    Couldn't ask for better!

Amazing receiver, I've had no problems with it since I installed it. Instillation was an easy step by step process and even with stock speakers, the AVH-x3600 gives it more power and the sound is solid. I would easily recommend this for anyone!

    Very Pleased

    Jeeper from Ohio on 4/29/2015

    2003 Jeep Liberty
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was able to install the Pioneer double-DIN unit in my '03 Jeep Liberty even though the factory radio is only a single-DIN thanks to a new center console surround from Metra. The wire harness from Crutchfield was perfect as usual, the unit installed in only a few minutes once I did a few modifications to the sub-dash. The head unit looks great, is fairly intuitive, it's easy to program SiriusXM stations, HD radio stations and connect my iPhone 5S via bluetooth. I don't have a backup camera yet so can't comment on that. I'm very pleased with the sound from the system even with inexpensive aftermarket JVC speakers in front and factory tweeters in the dash and rear doors. I wanted a double-DIN head unit primarily for the large screen to control my iPhone and for the use of mapping/navigation apps via AppRadio. I bought the Pioneer CD-IV203 cable kit along with the Apple VGA-to-lightning adapter so I could have the connectivity I needed (the cable kit and Apple adapter are expensive but I felt they are worth it.) I spent a weekend trying to get AppRadio to connect with my iPhone with no success - I could control Pandora with a Pioneer app, listen to music from iTunes and Amazon Music via bluetooth. Crutchfield Tech Support suggested I call Pioneer to figure out the AppRadio problems - it was a simple fix. I have to connect the Lightning cable AFTER starting the engine so the head unit can "ping" my parking brake. An anomaly of my Jeep - now AppRadio is perfect. Very pleased.

Pros: Hands free calling, streaming music via Pandora, iTunes and Amazon Music, sound quality and EQ section. Pleasantly surprised by HD Radio - wasn't expecting much but got more than I expected. Very easy to connect SiriusXM receiver and program favorites. Happy with AppRadio connectivity - Crutchfield Tech Support was very empathetic with my inability to get AppRadio working and ultimately suggested I call Pioneer directly. Was an easy fix to get AppRadio working - just a weird Jeep quirk.

Cons: There are several functions that need to be set up in general settings and sub-menus to get everything up and running - if you're intimidated by menus and ensuring all setup items are correct this unit may be a bit much. Some glare issues with the touchscreen on very sunny days. The AppRadio takes a bit of time to be launched on my iPhone 5S - just need to be patient till it pops up on the phone after 10 to 15 seconds.

The second receiver does everything it is supposed to do. The first one I received had a defect (it would not load discs), and the prompt replacement worked fine.

Pros: A main reason for dealing with Crutchfield is the high level of knowledge and helpfulness of your staff. This was shown again in this purchase both in getting the replacement and in solving an interesting installation issue I encountered in my rather unusual car. (the "Coolness Factot" is rated in the middle of the range because I don't give a hoot about "coolness," whatever that is.

Cons: Electronic user manuals are notorious for being poorly written, but this one is especially weak.

    2003 Chevrolet Avalanche
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The receiver looks good installed and works as advertised. The touch screen flows well and is user friendly. Sound quality is far above stock radios. Some people complain about bass, but the equalizer will supply ample bass sans a subwoofer. The install kit needs to be re-written with more model specific instructions. I installed the receiver in a Chevy Avalanche. The instructions said a metal support bracket had to be cut. After 2 hours with a hacksaw, the receiver still wouldn't fit. I determined that the support bracket did not have to be cut, but I had to grind down the plastic molding in front of the bracket before the unit would fit deep enough. The instructions are vague and can be confusing because it covers too many models. If you cut the wrong tabs on the trim price, you ruin it. Other than that, I'm pleased with the unit and happy to have dealt with Crutchfield.

Pros: The installed unit blends well with the dash. The touch screen looks and performs great. Nice unit for the price.

Cons: Install instructions need to be more specific to the make and model.

    Great Product for the Price!

    2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've had the unit in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for about two days now, and I couldn't be happier. Installation was a breeze due to Crutchfield sending everything needed. I was disappointed that the Metra mounting brackets were made out of very flimsy ABS plastic, and with the fact that I have to remove a metal brace that would hold the stock stereo, I kind of wish they would make a aftermarket brace that would replace the stock one so that the mounting brackets weren't supporting just the front of the units weight. I also had to cut a portion of my dash to fit this unit in, but it is bigger than the stock double DIN stereo. It was the best choice for me trying to retain the stock stereo look without spending over a thousand dollars on a head unit. The sound quality of the unit is great, and with my two dash speakers changed out, it sounds even better. Now I just need to switch out the roll bar speakers and hear this unit really do its thing. I also purchased the PAC steering wheel controls, I was hesitant at first because I really didn't think it was worth spending more money, but after installing it, I'm glad I got it. The PAC unit was super easy to install, and comes with a wire guide to make it that much easier. I would say if you have a Jeep Wrangler and are looking for a decent unit to keep that stock look but loose the garbage stock stereo, this is the best bang for the buck. But I wouldn't take my word for it... Reading Rainbow reference. Good times

Pros: Great price, great looking unit, pretty easy to use, sounds amazing, very expandable in terms of add-ons, Bluetooth mic sounds great, Crutchfield is the best!

Cons: The plastic mounting brackets are very flimsy, and should have come with a aftermarket Jeep Wrangler support bracket for the rear of the unit.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have installed this in my '08 Expedition EL. Looks like it came from the factory. Bluetooth works great for both audio and calls. HD Radio is very nice to have. Pandora work so-so with my Galaxy S4 - it seems to lock up on the phone, but I don't think it's an issue solely with this head unit. Extremely happy to have backup camera installed, especially nice to be able to turn it on so I can see behind while not in reverse. Plan to get Satellite Radio module as well, looks to be a very easy add-on. Only real complaint is the controls are a bit tough to find while driving. On-screen controls of course have no feedback, but they are very small and a bit difficult to press while driving. Surprisingly, even the hard buttons on the left do not have any "texture" to them so you cannot ID them without looking. Plan to get Satellite Radio module in the near future. Not using USB or Mirrorlink/AppRadio features, so no comment on those.

Pros: Great sound, very customizable UI, Bluetooth handsfree, bluetooth audio, HD Radio, backup camera all work great.

Cons: Small on-screen controls and lack of texture to hard buttons.

Overall this stereo is a great buy. I was mainly interested in the backup camera function and the bluetooth function. The stereo was easy to install and everything seems to work great. The touch screen works great and the video quality is good. I have not hooked up the backup camera yet, but that should be done soon. The bluetooth works great and I'm able to use Siri on my iphone while driving which is a nice feature. I figured I would have to have my phone connected to the USB port for Siri, but it does work over bluetooth.

Pros: Bluetooth works great for hands free calling as well as using your itunes. The video has a nice clean picture. The Equalizer is easy to use. The stereo looks good and is easy to use and navigate

Cons: The app feature is not that easy to use and the Pioneer app on my phone for the stereo has left a lot to be desired. I have not figured out how to use the favorites feature, so that portion is not so easy.

Installed over this weekend, ad some trouble at first, but not the head unit. Bought a idatalink maestro and quite honestly not impressed. But as far as this pioneer, really a great buy for the price. Easy set up and very easy to use. Read reviews about the RadioApp for apple, but still debating over that one, still staying away though because of poor reviews on it. Sound quality is great, crisp, and bass when you're looking for it. As far as the install in a Jeep wrangler: It looks great, fits nicely, and generally easy to do. Installed a SiriusXM receiver as well and was able to tuck everything in "neatly". Definitely a great value for the price. Go for it, you won't be dissatisfied!!

Pros: Looks great, responsive touch screen, crisp sounds treble and bass. Bluetooth easy to pair. Really great value for the price!

Cons: RadioApp still not a great feature. If you can live without that apple app, you'll be happy with the head unit.

Pros: Convenient display. Nice sound. Bluetooth works great for phone and music

Cons: Have experienced an intermittent loss of the SiriusXM signal (30-60 sec) at a time on a couple of occasions. Likely Pioneer firmware issue. There is an update to address this, but I have to ID the version in the HU to see if update applies.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this unit a few weeks ago into my toyota rav4 06 (base) and it really is nice upgrade. It took some time to get all the wiring down but after that it was easy to install. Unfortunately I do not have all the add-ons for my vehicle so I would have to install a camera, dvd player, sat-radio, steering controls and a few others in order to really get the worth of this unit. I would suggest doing research on what you are really looking for out of a unit considering most cell phones do more then what is needed in a stereo. Anyways, my main goal was to install this unit for my amp, sub, Bluetooth and touchscreen. I have to say all works really well, but now have to decide if I want to add anything else to it.

Pros: Works well for what I wanted it to do.

    Cons: Limited on background colors

Just installed this unit a few weeks ago. I was surprised that the install went so well considering I know little to nothing about electronics. I spent more time worrying about the installation than actually doing it. The PosiTwist connectors made it extremely easy to connect the wiring loom. I have not made the connections for the reverse camera or DVD yet. Now I have to read up on how to use the unit. Looks really cool.

Pros: Great price. PosiTwist connectors well worth the price.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I actually installed this unit by myself with a few calls to Crutchfield for a little help on the wiring. I had the low level factory stereo in my 2005 Grand Cherokee Laredo, however my car has the premium factory sound system. No idea why the car wouldn't have come with the factory navigation stereo, but it didn't. This double din radio installed easily and I purchased the double din factory bezel. It looks amazing! I had to purchase the Maestro RR to keep my steering wheel controls, and the whole process of flashing that component was easy. All of the wiring looks intimidating, but the diagrams given were pretty easy to follow. I still need to figure out what this Appradio is about. I want to use this option but still don't know which connector I need for my Iphone 6. Overall, I'm impressed with this product.

Pros: Looks very cool! Relatively easy to install.

Cons: Not a fan of the remote control as it doesn't always work.

I had redone the whole stereo in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler and even added a powered sub but it was still lacking because I had a cheap head unit. I decided to go with this unit because it had what I needed(bluetooth, USB, steering wheel control adaptable) and all sorts of other things I wanted to try. I've had it in for a few weeks now and I can't believe how much I love it. The video playback is great(just make sure you buy the right cables/wires to match up your phone). The unit took a while to get used to but I navigate it with ease now. The best part, the sound. It's like I was only using half my new equipments potential. Not anymore. The lows are low, the highs are high, the bass hits perfect. It's like a theater experience, it's great. I would highly recommend this unit

I Love this system ! The shipping was prompt, the instruction were clear. I was able to install a ford logo image onto the screen so as to look factory. The DVD picture looks amazing not a huge screen however in my opinion the perfect size. The hands free phone works extremely well, the microphone had to be placed at the sun visor level ( did not work well on the steering wheel dash area ) all of the control are self explanatory if you are able to navigate a cel phone this will be a breeze. the Bluetooth worked great I have LG3 and it linked up without a hitch. I haven't installed any apps nor do I plan on installing any of the apps. This avh-x3600bhs gave my 2001 Ford a well deserved dash face lift. No steering wheel controls other then that we are up to date with modern automotive sound system technology.

Pros: fit perfect in 2001 f350 dash ( just trimmed the upper and lower lip ) Bluetooth linked up to lg3 easy to navigate hands free phone sounds crystal clear on both ends

I like the deck. I just put it in a 2009 Tacoma and it sounds great. Even the DVD quality was great. The main reason I am reviewing was Crutchfield's great customer service. I bought an open box unit and the wiring harness that was included was incorrect. Instead of trying to locate a new wiring harness, they shipped out a new headunit to replace the refurb. I didn't have to pay shipping for the new head unit, nor for the RMA return. I've done business with Crutchfield in the distant past, but I have to say this was great customer service. Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After studying many radios and feature options for a couple of weeks I decided on this one. For me it had the perfect balance of cost-to-benefit ratio. There were features I didn't need (read: I didn't feel the "feature" was worth the $$) and kept coming back to the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS. Bluetooth was a required option for me, as was the ability to play DVDs and other video. HD Radio was something I wanted as well, even though I had never experienced it before. I certainly recommend it now. The clarity of HD Radio is amazing and worth the upgrade. GPS wasn't something that interested me since I kept reading too many inconclusive reviews of their usability among all brands. I came to the conclusion that the many GPS options on my smartphone was hard to beat, not to mention the ability to integrate my phone display with this head unit is always an option with a little bit of ingenuity (do your research before buying any cables!). In my opinion, this is a great unit and I have not been disappointed. The sound is great and the features are plentiful. My daughter was blown away with the theatrical experience of watching a movie in the truck. With the Pioneer speakers and subwoofer rocking the seats she said the sound effects felt like being in a theater. LOL I honestly questioned the usefulness of a remote control but I can't seem to put it down! It's very handy and I am able to perform many basic functions without taking my eyes off the road. Stop putting it off and BUY IT!

Pros: Features galore! Video, HD Radio, USB, Bluetooth.

Cons: It doesn't make coffee. Ha-Ha. I have no complaints with this unit!

    2003 Toyota Matrix
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this unit about a month ago because I really wanted a nice touch screen, bluetooth and HD radio. I went with this one because of the promise of AppRadio and being able to use this with my iPhone 5, boy was that ever a mistake. I really wanted CarPlay, but was being cheap. No more cheap! At first glance this seems like a great head unit, decent quality and packed with features. The features are the problem... This deck tries so hard to be so much that it is a master of none. The HD radio works decently well, although it took a while to figure out how to find HD2 and HD3 stations. I did have problems with it losing the HD signal and reverting to analog, even when i was within 10 miles of the broadcast towers. AM radio is very weak also, my old factory deck picked up too many AM stations, where this one struggles to tune in the strongest ones. The bluetooth works pretty decent, but does not have a long range. Loading or unloading the car and walking in the garage was enough to make it lose the BT signal. The real Horrible thing about this, and every Pioneer AVH or NEX is AppRadio. Even if it did work (which it does not) it still functioned and looked as if it were made by a 12 year old kid. Actually, I think a 12 yr old could have done much better. Disjointed, choppy, crash ridden, no useable keyboards, and a total lack of understanding what "It just works" means. Maybe I am spoiled by my Apple stuff, but it is simple and intuitive and works right every time.

Pros: 1. Decent quality for a cheap deck, HD and BT are ok 2. Crutchfield service is the biggest pro i can think of for this deck. I love their return policy and thank them for taking this unit back. 3. Makes you appreciate simplicity... Since all this I have realized I really like the single din style and form of the Kenwood Excelon line. Going for a much more focused and well made system with big juicy pre amp outs! 4. - There is no 4

Cons: AppRadio! Integration of iPhone apps are so stupid and backwards. Also the majority of the apps don't work (and several cost money to learn they don't work.) Layout of menus could be made so much better, it is so taxing to get from one thing to another. Also the AppRadio apps love to crash and leave the screen black until you do the right voodoo dance to fix it. It almost seems like they had 4 separate groups design all the different parts, then they threw all that garbage in a blender.

We have thoroughly enjoyed this new Pioneer radio so far. We had it professionally installed, so all we've had to do it enjoy it. We only have 2 gripes about it. 1) This is not a Crutchfield problem, but rather a Pioneer one - everything for the AppRadio could be improved from Pioneer's customer service to their app development to iPhone to their videos/how tos online. 2) It would be much better if the USB port was not on the back of the radio. There is not even an auxiliary port on the front. Other than this, we have enjoyed the quality of sound, the DVD functionality, the HD radio, and the ability to hook up our rear back up camera.

This is my first Receiver with an HD tuner. I am very happy with the sound quality of HD FM, it really is very near CD resolution & clarity. One of my favorite features is the (8) band EQ., and how easy it is to access. The touch Icon for the EQ, is on the screen of the source you are listening to; Not buried in a sub menu. Pioneer has put together a lot of useful features that are intuitive, straight forward, & easy to use. If you are looking for a double din stereo with an HD tuner with RDS, CD/DVD, Bluetooth, iPod control, & input for a backup camera, & many other features, you should seriously consider this Head Unit. As usual Crutchfield was very helpful with helping to make sure that I had the right stereo for my vehicle, & all the bundled hardware needed (included FREE) to make the install as smooth as possible. I've been a Crutchfield customer for over 20 years, & this is the first time I've had to call technical support for help, & I received promt & courteous help to locate a wire in my vehicle to complete my install. My only complaint is that the mute button is right under the volume down button. Sometimes I accidentally push mute instead of volume down. That's really not a big deal, as I usually use the remote.

Pros: Attractive design, lots of options, works flawlessly, it's PIONEER!

Cons: Mute button is too close to the volume down button

    2010 Toyota Tacoma
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

A great upgrade from the factory Toyota radio that was installed in my 2010 Tacoma. Installation was pretty straight forward, with the exception of the removal of the clock/passenger side airbag module ( it was a pain to remove ). The face plate that came with the install kit was a match to the factory dash panel and gave the install a factory look. The HD radio is a BIG plus, station sound is CD quality, plus being able to connect my iPod makes it easy to switch sources and keep the "tunes" flowing while on the road. Being able to connect my Andriod smartphone via Bluetooth is nice also! Not only am I able to use my phone hands free to make and take calls with the unit, I am also able to stream PANDORA from my phone via Bluetooth, and the sound is quite good! Everything works as it should. The steering wheel controls work as they should and the install of the module was quite easy and a "snap" to set up. If you are looking for an upgrade to the anemic factory head unit, look no further. This one, is a keeper!

Pros: HD radio ( WOW!! ), Bluetooth, Pandora, great sound and power output

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this unit for two reasons, one to have a USB port to play music from a storage device, and two to use iPhone apps. Well it seems I can have one or the other. If I connect my iPhone via Bluetooth in order to use the apps, the USB port goes away. if I use the USB port to play music I can't use the apps. Another thing the display is totally useless in daylight. It looks great in my garage but on the street when the sun is shining I can't see anything. The sound on the other hand is terrific it exceeded my expectation, the bass is awesome. But, because of the problem with not being able to use the apps and USB without switching inputs, the unit to me is a bust.

    Pros: Great sound

Cons: Can't use the USB and Appradio without changing how my iPhone is connected

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

It has only been a week but I am in love with this receiver. I bought it simply as a technology upgrade for my '06 Chevy Silverado and I'm currently on gadget overload with everything that it can do beyond my factory stereo. I was worried about integration into my current system as I have the Bose sound system but it integrated flawlessly and the sound quality is amazing. Its safe to say that I had no idea what the Bose system in my truck could do until now. The Bluetooth is outstanding, the user interface is simple and intuitive, and the hands-free features make it all very convenient. I paired it with a couple of metra wiring harnesses in order to retain my factory chimes and steering wheel controls and it all works great. I can't say enough good things about this receiver so I will leave you with my one complaint, it was clearly designed to specifically interface with iPhones and the android compatibility was added as an after thought. This makes integrating to an android phone a little clunky but once set up it works well.

Pros: Great features and seem-less integration.

Cons: Interface designed specifically for iPhone users with Android as an after thought.

    Great Choice!

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have been using my receiver for about two months. The install was straight forward. The only issue that I had was identifying my parking brake cable but a quick call to Crutchfield took care of that issue. I installed my radio in 2004 expedition. I used the included harness to prewire my stereo before I went out to the truck. I didn't need any special tools to install the radio. I ran the microphone wire underneath my headliner and down my side pillar. When I use the hands free calling feature I never get any complaints from friends on the receiving end. The remote is nice and my iPhone 5s integration is good. I didn't spring for the extra cable to watch video but maybe one day. :) I love streaming Pandora through my radio. The radio makes the inside of my truck look better and the sound quality is excellent and that is with stock speakers and no amp. The touchscreen interface is responsive. The HD radio is a nice feature but the signal in my area is hit or miss. When the HD radio does have a signal it is so clear there is a noticeable difference between the digital and analog signal. The DVD player works as expected.

Pros: Value for the Price. Bluetooth IPhone 5s integration Touch screen interface Hands free microphone

Cons: Screen is hard to see in bright light. Price of accessories needed to use the video function of iPhone 5 and above. HD Radio Signal strength (this might just be my location)

    2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this head unit to replace my factory unit in my Sport Trac. Specifically, I was looking for handsfree capability for the phone and use of a screen to run my GPS instead of relying on a phone mount on my windshield or dash. The first use is fantastic. The bluetooth runs flawlessly and connects with ease to my iPhone 5. The screen is not so friendly. The required cables don't pose too much of a problem, but the setup is a nightmare. I ended up emailing Pioneer just to get directions on ridding myself of the "incompatible USB" message. The instruction manual offers no instruction aside from pluggin in the cables. The process is much more involved than that. Maybe it's because it uses VGA instead of HDMI to Lightning, but there is sometimes a lag in data transfer from the the phone to the screen and I've missed a few turns because it wasn't updating quickly enough or just stopped cold. The screen is sometimes unresponsibe when in App Radio. And this may be a flaw with the phone, but running concurrent apps like Pandora and the GPS through the phone to the radio drains the battery even while pugged in and charging...and my phone begins heating up very quickly. May or may not have anything to do with the charging provided through the USB fromthe radio. As for the sound, I do not like that I cannot indendently control the sound to knock down the base. I like presents but a simple bass control would be very helpful.

Pros: Cost-efficient Sylish Good Video Playback Crisp bluetooth connection to iPhone Fairly easy learning curve

Cons: Complicated setup to use App Radio No sound control aside from manipulating equalizers or using presets Unresponsive touch screen at times Shoddy radio reception...even when signal is at full strength and in the middle of the city

This unit has good features and is easy to use. The only real downside (other than needing to buy a separate unit for Mirrorlink)are two fold: the screen shows fingerprints far too much, particularly considering modern touchscreens on phones hardly do without the assistance of a bucket of fried chicken; and the Bluetooth media connection is rather flaky and sluggish. For the pricepoint, it does what it should, but could certainly do it better.

Pros: Good features and sound quality.

Cons: Fingerprint magnet, shaky Bluetooth media connection, and necessity of purchasing another $100+ unit for mirrorlink.

I installed this unit on a 06 C230 Mercedes Benz and so far I am impressed with this radio capabilities. Everything works just fine. The hardware and instructions provided by Crutchfield made installation a breeze even on a complicated car like mine. Tech support was a HUGE plus. I recommend this unit if you want to upgrade your stock radio without having to break the bank. Bluetooth integration works great to make phone calls and stream music from Rhapsody. AppRadio is pretty cool for iPod and Pandora.

I bought this unit in order to have bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone 4s, as well as HD radio. Both meet my needs, and work as they should. I also was interested in Pioneer's AppRadio app, and so far have not tried to do much besides checking to see that it works. Connecting phone to unit to use apps requires a special cable, which I routed through the glove box. I guess this a reasonable alternative to a navigation receiver if the maps app works. GPS needs are infrequent, so this is a more reasonable price point. One thing to be aware of is that the screen can get washed out in bright sun, which makes it a little harder to read, especially until you get used to where the different buttons on the screen are located

    Pros: Bluetooth connectivity HD Radio

Cons: Screen is easily washed out in bright sun

I bought this in part for the HD/satellite radio, DVD player, and bluetooth connectivity. Great unit for those features. However I also bought this receiver specifically so I could use iPhone 5 apps with it. HUGE MISTAKE!! It is pretty much useless for that purpose. I should have looked at the reviews of Pioneer's AppRadio on the App Store before buying. I'm exchanging the AVH-X3600BHS for the AVH-4000NEX, and keeping my fingers crossed for firmware update and CarPlay. I really want that feature to work!

I was looking for a head unit to replace the terrible stock unit in my 2014 WRX hatchback. I already owned a set of JL Audio C5-650 component speakers and a Rockford Fosgate 100 watt per channel (4 ohm) to power them. I was looking for a head unit that had a nice interface, RDS, HD radio, Bluetooth, and app integration with my iPhone 5s. After doing some research and speaking with Crutchfield I settled on the AVH-X3600BHS. I also had to buy an Axxess ASWC steering wheel module.

Pros: Stock unit sounds very good with the JL Audio speakers. Huge improvement over stock. HD radio sounds very good. Steering wheel controls are work perfectly. Head unit is responsive and there are minimal delays, even with Bluetooth audio. Pioneer microphone sounds better than stock mic during calls My iPhone 5S syncs everytime within about 5 seconds. EQ options are easy to use. Waze GPS app works pretty good. Bluetooth via the iPhone works well for streaming music and it is easy to naviga

Cons: The buttons to switch radio stations via the touchscreen are small. You can make them larger, but the setting does not stay. Appradio works with my iPhone 5S, but it is a little klunky. Glare is pretty bad with this unit when the sun is hitting the screen. Although this is true of most units in this price range.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have purchased Pioneer products before and have been very satisfied. This product continued that tradition. After my second factory radio went out on my Tundra I decided to go aftermarket. This receiver was easy to install minus a fuse issue that took a while to figure out. The only issue I have is that the Mirrorlink software is not yet compatible with my Android phone. However this is an app problem and has nothing to do with the actual receiver. Crutchfield is fantastic! I do my homework before purchasing and they answered all my questions. I even had questions answered about my vehicle that the dealer could not answer correctly. When I ran into an issue during installation, I called and had a tech troubleshoot my issue. The tech stayed on the line until we figured out it was a fuse issue. Step by step instructions tailored to my exact vehicle and incredible customer service for a lower price than anywhere else I researched. I will be a repeat customer.

Pros: Sound Production Bluetooth/Android Friendly/Pandora Ability to Personalize User friendly Looks great

Cons: Mirrorlink not yet working for phone integration (Bluetooth works great though)

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS head unit and an Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control kit. After installation I discovered that the steering wheel control kit cannot control most Pioneer head units (including this one) with respect to PICK-UP and HANG-UP on an iPhone 5S. Thus in order to make a call using my iPhone 5S i must use the small Bluetooth phone screen on the display of this head unit. Neither the automatic or manual setup of the ASWC-1 was able to work around this problem. The PICK-UP and HANG-UP buttons on the steering wheel cannot be programmed to make calls. Ironically when automatic programming of the ASWC-1 is used those buttons do funky things like changing the FM channels. Another thing that I dislike is the screen display when using CDs for music show virtually no information about the CD except for a very tiny number that displays which track is playing. And finally the Owner's Manual is not very helpful to learn how to set various functions such a setting the telephone numbers in the 6 Preset Dial list. The manual tells you how to use them to dial preset telephone numbers but nowhere does it tell how to preset them.

Pros: Great Sound great Display when using an iPod

Cons: Doesn't allow hands free use of iPhone 5S with steering wheel controls for iPhone Poor display of information when playing CDs Owner's Manual is not helpful.

    Great audio, mediocre AppRadio

    Duncan from Massachusetts on 2/26/2014

Buy this radio for the great audio features and excellent sound quality. Do not buy it for AppRadio. While the integration with the iPhone 5S works pretty well, the apps need a lot of work. When you select an app, many times an error message saying 'this application is not supported' pops up, but the app loads anyways. Here is the biggest flaw: When you load an app, such as maps or Nav Free, it kills the audio. What is the point of using a navigation app when you can't listen to music? This is a decent start for Pioneer but they really need to mature the apps features.

Pros: Excellent audio quality Solid SiriusXM and iPhone integration for music Ability to customize display colors to match existing instrument panel

Cons: Cumbersome, two step process to initiate Siri voice control on iPhone AppRadio kills the audio when you're using apps, such as maps and navigation Small preset radio buttons on screen

Bluetooth using with an iPhone 5s works great even when using 3rd party apps- @ie like Google Music, ITunes Radio, I Heart, it will automatically start where you left off. 6.1" TFT LCD Touchscreen Color Display: The AVH-X3600BHS features a 6.1" TFT Active Matrix, 16:9 widescreen touchscreen display. The resolution of the display is 800 x 480 (RGB), for a total of 1,152,000 pixels. The touchscreen display allows you to control this unit and a connected component such as an iPod/iPhone, or USB mass storage class device. Menus appear on screen for making function choices, audio adjustments, and setting up the system.

    • Widescreen Modes: You can choose from the following widescreen modes when playing back video - Full (4:3 picture is enlarged in the horizontal direction only; enabling you to enjoy a 4:3 picture without any omissions), Zoom (4:3 picture is enlarged in the same proportion both vertically and horizontally; ideal for a 16:9 screen), Normal (4:3 picture is displayed as it is).
    • Picture Adjustments: You can store numerous video settings for the head unit's video source and rear-view camera; including brightness (adjusts the black intensity), contrast (adjusts contrast) color (adjusts color saturation), temperature (adjust the color temperature), and Dimmer (adjusts brightness).
    • OSD + Backgrounds: The color of the on-screen display can be set to red, amber, green, blue or white. The background can be set to one of four preset still images, two moving images, a stored JPEG image, spectrum analyzer, or turned Off.
Note: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS offers English, Chinese, French, Portuguese, and Spanish text.

Favorites: You can register the desired menu items on the AVH-X3600BHS's "Favorites" menu screen. Registering your favorite menu items allows you to quickly jump to the registered menu item by a simple touch on the favorites menu. Up to 12 menu items can be registered as a "Favorite".

Front-Panel Control w/ Custom Illumination: In addition to the touchscreen controls, the unit includes frequently used buttons along the left edge of the screen. The color of the button illumination can be set to red, amber, green, blue, white, or scan (constantly cycling through the color spectrum). You can also create a custom color to match your vehicle's interior lighting (112 colors to choose from).

MIXTRAX Illumination: MIXTRAX features a club-style illumination that enhances the mood with a dynamic dance club-like lighting effect. As MIXTRAX begins, lights start pulsing to the beat of the music, adding an extra level of entertainment. You can choose among twelve patterns of lighting variations from sound pressure level or low-pass synchronization modes. The lighting effects work like a spectrum analyzer, reaching peak colors based on the intensity of the music.

Dimmer: To prevent the display from being too bright at night, the display is automatically dimmed when the car's headlights are turned on. The automatic dimmer function only works when the orange/white illumination wire in the wiring harness is connected to the vehicle's headlight circuit.

Parking Brake Interlock: This unit has a parking brake interlock system that prohibits viewing of video programming and operating certain controls when the vehicle is in motion. In order to watch video on the in-dash monitor, the vehicle must be stopped with the parking brake engaged. The head unit's light green wire must be connected to your vehicle's parking brake detection circuit. The head unit's touchscreen will display "Attention! Viewing of front seat video source while driving is strictly prohibited", if you try to watch a video when your vehicle is in motion.

2-DIN Chassis: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS has a 2-DIN chassis (also known as "Double-DIN"), and will fit in many vehicles with a large dash opening. The unit can be ISO-mounted using factory brackets. There is also an optional double-DIN sleeve (130ADTV133, sold separately) available for this unit that will allow you to Euro-mount or custom mount the Pioneer head unit in your vehicle. As always, please consult Crutchfield's Outfit My Car to verify fit with your vehicle.

    iPod/AppRadio Control

iPod Connectivity w/ DAC Bypass: The Pioneer AVH-3600BHS supports direct connection of your 30-pin or Lightning-connector iPod/iPhone through its rear-panel USB port, RGB input, and 3.5mm jack. The AVH-3600BHS offers audio/video playback, music navigation, information display, and charging of select Apple iPod/iPhone models. It also provides a special AppRadio mode for iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5/5C/5S users which allows you to access a variety of online music, navigation, and other helpful apps. The AVH-3600BHS allows your iPod/iPhone's music library to be loaded instantly to the head unit and sound quality to be maximized through the head unit's 24-bit D/A converter (bypassing iPod/iPhone DAC), allowing for a Signal to Noise ratio up to 91dB.

    • Lightning Dock Connector: If you have an iPhone 5/5C/5S with the Lightning-connector, you can use Pioneer's CD-IV203 VGA Interface Cable Kit and the Apple Lighting-to-VGA adapter 472LT2VGA (both sold separately) to access stored music and videos, music and video apps, plus AppRadio Mode for playback of advance applications on the Pioneer AVH-3600BHS. This setup also requires your iPhone 5/5C/5S be paired via Bluetooth to the head unit. • Supertuner IIID: The Supertuner IIID features Feed Forward Control, which avoids multi-path interference. This pre-detection of interference enables quick filter control and results in less distortion. In addition, the Supertuner IIID creates enhanced stereo during multi-path interference, unlike conventional tuners that collapse to mono. Digital processing reduces distortion, and improves Signal-to-Noise Ratio and stereo separation. Advanced analog technology improves signal processing sensitivity.
    • Reception Blending: If a digital broadcast reception condition gets poor, this unit automatically switches to the analog broadcast of the same frequency level. If this function is set to "On", the tuner switches between digital broadcast and analog broadcast automatically. If this function is 'Off', reception will be conducted within an analog broadcast.
    • BSM (Best Stations Memory): The BSM (Best Stations Memory) function lets you automatically store the six strongest analog or HD stations under preset buttons 1-6 of the currently tuned band. The tuner has 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank. You can store 6 presets for each bank giving you a total of 18 FM presets and 6 AM presets.
    • Local Tuning: Local seek tuning lets you tune in only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. There are 4 level of sensitivity for FM and two levels for AM. The higher settings allow reception of only the strongest stations, while lower settings let you receive progressively weaker stations.
    • iTunes Tagging: It is possible to save the song's information (tag) from a HD Radio or RDS FM broadcasting station to your USB-direct connected iPod/iPhone. The songs will show up in a playlist called "Tagged" in iTunes the next time you sync your iPod/iPhone. Then you can directly buy the songs you want from the iTunes Music Store.

Note: HD Radio is the system for digital AM and FM broadcasting in the U.S. More than 2,000 radio stations are broadcasting their primary signals in digital HD Radio technology, as a free service. Go to to check for HD Radio stations in your area.

Pandora App: The free Pandora App (either from iTunes Apps or Google Play) lets you play music from the Pandora music service through the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS using your USB-connected Apple iPhone (iOS 5.0+) or Bluetooth paired Android smartphone. Your Apple iPhone must be connected to the AVH-X3600BHS via the appropriate Pioneer iPod connector cable (CD-IU51 / CD-IU52 / CD-IU201V / CD-IU201S) or the connector-cable that came with your iPhone. Your Android smartphone must support A2DP/AVRCP/SPP Bluetooth profiles and be paired with the Pioneer AVH-4600BT. Your iPhone or Android smartphone will also need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, or WiFi. The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS will provide control over the Pandora music service & display Artist, Album, & Song information; as well as Album art.

    • Station List w/ Shuffle: You can select Pandora stations from your Station List by date or alphabetically (A-Z). You can also listen to songs played randomly from various stations within your Station List.
    • New Stations: New stations can be created based on the current songs or artists playing.
    • Skip Songs: You can skip song tracks within a station. You cannot skip back to a previous song. Pandora limits the number of skips allowed.
    • Thumbs Up/Down: You can give songs a thumbs up or thumbs down to help Pandora personalize stations to suit your preferences.
    • Bookmarking: The song/artist currently being played can be bookmarked & stored in your Pandora account.
Note: Access to the Pandora service will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone to connect to the Internet. Pandora is not supported in Canada & only available in the United States.

SiriusXM Ready: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS CD receiver is SiriusXM Ready, so you can listen to commercial-free music, all your favorite sports, exclusive talk and entertainment, comedy, news, traffic, weather, and more. Simply connect the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (220SXV200, sold separately) to the dedicated SiriusXM port on the rear of the head unit and enjoy satellite radio without additional translators or cables. With the SiriusXM Connect tuner you'll have access to more than 150 channels of exclusive programming directly from SiriusXM, via the "SiriusXM All Access" package (subscription required). • Metadata Display: Displayed Information such as Channel Name, Artist Name, & Song Title can be viewed on the head unit's LCD touchscreen.
    • Presets: You can store up to 18 SiriusXM Satellite Radio Station Presets.
    • Tune Start: Tune Start allows you to choose whether to start a song from the beginning or from its live point when tuning to a preset music channel.
    • Tune/Category Scan: You can scan through channels within categories or songs from your preset channels. Tune Scan allows you to play back six seconds of each song in a preset music channel. Category Scan lets you play back six seconds of a live broadcast in the currently selected category.
    • Instant Replay: Supports the SiriusXM Instant Replay function, so you can pause, rewind, and replay up to 60 minutes of live content.
    • iTunes Tagging: The iTunes Tagging feature lets you Tag songs you hear on SiriusXM and stores the info on your iPod/iPhone (connected to your head unit via USB). The next time you connect your iPod/iPhone to iTunes, you will be able to preview your selections and then purchase and download them directly from iTunes.
    • Parental Control: The SiriusXM Parental Control feature allows you to control access to channels that you consider inappropriate for younger listeners. When enabled, The Parental Control feature requires you to enter a 4-digit passcode to tune to the locked channels.
Note: A separate SiriusXM Satellite Radio subscription is required (operates on the XM Network). However, you can easily add this SiriusXM tuner to an existing Sirius or XM account for a Multi-Radio Discount Plan.

    Audio Section

24-Bit/96kHz DAC: For superb quality audio playback from DVDs, CDs, and flash media, the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS is equipped with a 24-bit/96kHz digital-to-analog converter.

MOSFET50 Internal Amplifier: This receiver is equipped with a 50 watts x 4 (peak) MOSFET amplifier for low distortion, high power output. The amplifier is strong enough to power small subwoofers to moderate volume levels in compact cars and pickups. For higher volume levels from subwoofers, an optional amplifier may be connected to the preamp outputs.

    • CEA2006 Specs: 14 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 20Hz-20kHz, 1% THD-N)
    • Continuous Power Output: 22 watts RMS x 4 channels (at 4 ohms, 50Hz-15kHz, 5% THD)
    • Maximum Power Output: 50 watts x 4 channels (or 50 watts x 2 channels at 4 ohms + 70 watts x 1 channel at 2 ohms for subwoofer)
Note: The power specifications for the AVH-X3600BHS are compliant with the CEA2006 Mobile Amplifier Power Testing and Measurement standards from the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). These standards were developed as a way to equitably compare power specs from model to model and between manufacturers.

2V/6CH Preamp Outputs + Sub Control: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS features three pair of 2.0-volt preamp outputs (Front/Rear/Subwoofer). The unit's front and rear preamp output can be faded (front/rear), while the subwoofer preamp output is non-fading. The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS lets you adjust the subwoofer preamp output's phase (normal/reverse) and volume (+6 to -24).

Crossovers: The AVH-X3600BHS employs high pass and low pass crossovers to tailor the head unit to your connected speakers.

    • HPF: The head unit's 12dB/octave high pass filter only allows frequencies higher than those in the selected range (50, 63, 80, 100, 125Hz) to your front and rear speakers through the unit's speaker-level or line-level outputs.
    • LPF: The subwoofer preamp output features an18dB/octave low pass filter so only frequencies lower than those in the selected range (50, 63, 80, 100, 125Hz) are output to your connected subwoofer.

EEQ (Easy EQ) w/ 8-Band Graphic EQ: There are seven stored equalizer curves which you can easily recall at any time. You can choose from - Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Super Bass, Flat, Custom 1, or Custom 2. The Custom 1 and Custom 2 EQ modes allow you to manually adjust the level (+/- 12dB) of each band of the head unit's 8-band graphic equalizer (40Hz, 80Hz, 200Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.5kHz, 8kHz, and10kHz).

Auto EQ (Optional): The auto-equalizer automatically measures your car's interior acoustic characteristics, and then creates an auto-equalizer curve base on that information. The Pioneer CD-MC20 Auto-EQ microphone (130CDMC20, sold separately) is required to use this function. The Pioneer CD-MC20 Auto-EQ microphone plugs into your compatible Pioneer A/V receiver's rear-panel AUX 3.5mm input. The Auto-EQ microphone should be placed in the center of your vehicle's driver seat headrest facing forward for EQ measurement.

Audio Settings: The head unit provides further sound adjustments for your car audio system.

    • Sonic Center Control: Sound that is suited for the listening position can easily be created with this function. You can adjust sound more toward the listening position left (7) to right (7).
    • Advanced Sound Retriever: The Advanced Sound Retriever automatically enhances compressed audio and restores the original richness of the recording. When the Advanced Sound Retriever is on, the high frequency range is compensated to match the frequency response curve to the original sound. There are two available levels of the Advanced Sound Retriever effect.
    • Loudness: The Loudness function compensates for deficiencies in the low- and high-frequency ranges at low volume. You can set the Loudness to High, Mid, Low, or Off.
    • Bass Boost: You can easily boost the subwoofer bass level by using the Bass Boost function. The Bass Boost feature allows you increase the subwoofer level from 0 to +6 (12dB).
    • Source Level Adjustment (SLA): This function lets you adjust the volume level of each source (AM, Pandora, iPod, Apps) to prevent radical changes in volume when switching between sources. Settings are based on the unit's FM volume level, which remains unchanged. Each source can be independently adjusted from -4 dB to +4 dB.

MIXTRAX: Drawing from Pioneer's rich DJ heritage and passion for music, MIXTRAX delivers a unique DJ infused listening experience to listeners in the car. MIXTRAX is an innovative Pioneer technology that creates a non-stop mix of your music library complete with a range of DJ-inspired effects. MIXTRAX takes your typical music listening experience and creates a non-stop mix of your music with 9 random DJ effects and transitions, by removing the breaks and pauses normally introduced between tracks and replacing them with various beats. MIXTRAX is compatible with USB-connected iPhone, iPod, USB MSC device, and select Android devices. There is also a Short Playback option which limits the amount of time each track plays; select from 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, or 3 minutes.

Note: The MIXTRAX function does not work in App/Media App Control mode or with the Pandora App for iPod/iPhone/iPad. It is also not supported by USB MTP devices.

Key Beep: The in-dash head unit provides an audible beep to confirm button operation.

    AV Connections

Dual AV Inputs: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS has dual AV inputs to connect two external audio/video sources. The head unit has a rear-panel 3.5mm minijack AV input for connecting a portable audio/video device. There is also a rear-panel composite video/stereo RCA AV input for connecting a video component such as a mobile TV tuner or game console. The rear-panel 3.5mm minijack input also serves as the A/V input for your USB-connected iPod/iPhone (using the proprietary Pioneer cable).

Video Output: The AVH-X3600BHS features a rear-panel composite video output that allows you to connect an external display to the unit. You can play back the same video source which is being played on the head unit. You can select the unit to output a 16:9, Letter-Box or Pan-Scan aspect ratio to match your external display's screen size.

Rear-View Camera: The AVH-X3600BHS is equipped with a composite video rear-view camera input for the addition of an optional backup camera (130NDBC6, sold separately). The unit features a function that automatically switches to the rear camera image. When the vehicle's transmission is put in reverse, the screen automatically switches to the rear view camera (violet/white wire of the harness must be connected to the vehicle's reverse lamp circuit for automatic video switching). Automatic video switching takes approximately 1.8 seconds. Pioneer recommends using a camera with a mirror image (reversed) output. Audio from your music source will continue playing, while the back-up camera is displayed.

Navigation Ready: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS allows you to connect the Pioneer AVIC-U260 add-on navigation unit (130AVIC260, sold separately) through its RGB Input. This versatile hideaway unit allows you to switch to navigation mode with the touch of a button. Get to your destination by inputting an address or search through the POI library while enjoying whatever source is currently playing.

Note: If you are already using the head unit's RGB input to access AppRadio Mode from your iPhone or MirrorLink from your compatible smartphone, then you cannot connect this add-on navigation module (or vise-versa).

    Remote Control

Wireless Remote Control: The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS includes an IR remote control (CXE5116) for wireless operation of the multimedia head unit and your connected devices.

Steering Wheel Remote Compatibility: The head unit features an OEM steering wheel remote control input on the rear of the unit that lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional steering wheel audio control adapter (sold separately). There was no GPS on my unit. [ Dana  Mar 31, 2017 ]
I got GPS to work using the phone. . The problem is that the latency and the interface were not as good as the phone itself. In the end, I use a phone holder on the dash instead. In order to really see value from GPS, you would need the add-on navigation system for GPS to enable navigation without the phone. [ Jon  Mar 31, 2017 ]
I didn't know this unit had GPS. I know you need to get a separate module for the navigation. [ Wesley  Mar 31, 2017 ]
I don't think this receiver has GPS in it. I could be wrong, because if it does, then I never tried to get it to work. [ Charlie  Mar 31, 2017 ]
    This model doesn't come with GPS. [ Stephen  Mar 31, 2017 ]

If the cd purchase is just a basic cd, generally the meta data is not avalible. The reason a burned cd works is because the files you burned contained the meta data about the track and artist. [ Erik  Jun 02, 2015 ]
Has to do with media type. A purchased cd is audio format, where your files are in a digital format. Player can't interpret mixed media disks [ LAWRENCE  Jun 02, 2015 ]

It's a hard question to answer, as the external BT is actually a small microphone. On my Lexus, it's installed on the front panel drivers side right next to the sun visor. On the Mustang, they can install in a similar place, however you can never use it if your too is down. The wind alone will make it too noisy to hear your voice. That being said, after owning a convertible, the BT function is not really ideal as you'll have challenges hearing the contact on the other end through the speakers with all of the exterior noise if your top is down. Consider this option null and void if the top is down, and only functional if it's up. The display does have a "privacy on/off" touch option when on the BT call, that will disable the call being placed through the car stereo, and when "privacy on" is selected, the call will just come through your phone as normal, which is a nice feature. [ Eric  Apr 28, 2015 ]
I used the wired mic and found that it worked better up high (visor) than lower (instrument cluster). It was too noisy when it was lower. [ CHARLES  Apr 26, 2015 ]
I have put the mic near the top of the A pillar in my convertibles. It is about the only are with minimal wind noise. [ Alex  Apr 26, 2015 ]
I'm sorry I don't use Spotify, but it does show the art when I use Pandora. [ Jermaine  Apr 24, 2015 ]
I haven't been able to get the spotify album art on the display screen but the playback functions all work. It also works with Pandora, Soundcloud, Beatport, Mixcloud, etc. [ Mike  Apr 24, 2015 ]
Hi Mike, I am not sure about the iphone 6 but it works great with my iphone5. [ KEVIN  Apr 22, 2015 ]
I don't believe it works with the new ios8 software. When I purchased my radio there were specific notes regarding the new iOS 8 and the functionality with the radio [ Joseph  Apr 22, 2015 ]
Yes you can you use bluetooth to stream audio, and the pandora integration should work. Beyond that, I do not know. [ Mary  Apr 17, 2015 ]
I connect an iphone 4 and a 5s to it so a 6 should work since it runs thru usb [ Daniel  Apr 17, 2015 ]
IT should I have the galaxy. The wireless connection should connect with any phone to stereo. Hope this helps [ Tony  Apr 17, 2015 ]
I just got an IPhone 6 and the Bluetooth paired up without issue The calls are clearly played through the cars sound system and the mike works well at blocking out road noise. So calls work great. I do not use any advanced features like trying to play Pandora etc. so I can only says that for calls it is excellent. [ rich  Apr 17, 2015 ]
I Installed this unit in my 08 Jeep Wrangler, and currently use my Iphone 6 with it through Bluetooth. Works great. [ Lee  Apr 17, 2015 ]
    Yup it does [ Kawaljit  Apr 17, 2015 ]
It does pair to the iPhone 6 and is able to controls iTunes and Pandora and make phone calls. [ Robert  Apr 17, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Yes, the Pioneer AVIC-U260 will work that way. The Pioneer will mute the music during a spoken direction, and the music will come back on immediately. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Apr 07, 2015 ]  Staff
Yes, I have an older IPod touch and I connect it through the USB port and all info and artwork display properly with the pen cable. [ Hayes  Apr 01, 2015 ]
Yes. I use my ipod oem cord with a USB extension and all of those features are available. [ Erik  Apr 01, 2015 ]
    Not that i know of [ Charles  Mar 28, 2015 ]
No, you want to look at one of the AVIC models, or another head unit that supports Mirrorlink. [ Eric  Mar 28, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The only way you would be able to listen to the iPod/iPhone while a movie was playing through the headphones on the rear monitor was if the rear monitor was a DVD player as well. If the DVD is in the Pioneer receiver then that is the only thing you will hear on the car speakers. If the rear monitor does not have a DVD player built-in then you would not be able to do what you are hoping If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy  Mar 05, 2015 ]  Staff
I have a Note 3, and I can completely control Pandora from the head unit (even displays album art with the songs). I can control MP3 audio from the head unit (song forward, back and pause) but that is about it. I had hoped newer firmware would provide better android app support; not yet. Still love the stereo (have the same unit in both of my vehicles). [ LAWRENCE  Feb 16, 2015 ]
For Pandora, you can control everything. Even add stations based on songs you hear on current stations. As far as music, you cannot control it from the head unit unless the app you use supports Bluetooth audio controls. [ Erik  Feb 16, 2015 ]
Yes it can, but not while driving. [ GARTH  Feb 18, 2015 ]
Joey, I believe you can only play videos through disks. The picture quality is great and no buffering. But you will have to wire it up yourself if you want videos to play while driving. [ Ray  Feb 17, 2015 ]
Yes it plays iPod videos, but they will not go out to rear-seat monitors. To do so, just open up the iPod app, click on the little icon that looks like someone holding a phone, set your parking brake and enjoy the video. [ Shane  Feb 17, 2015 ]
Plays DVD just fine, but I have been unable to find an AVI or MP4 encoding scheme that's recognized on any input stream. I didn't go to the bother of replicating the DVD folder structure on another medium, though. [ Jared  Feb 17, 2015 ]
The way I have it connected, it only plays video via disk or aux input. I haven't really tried any other connections. [ Michael  Feb 17, 2015 ]

directly, no. the aux input are RCA plugs. You will need some other device to interface. BUT, the this headunit has great bluetooth interface, maybe use a bluetooth MP3 player instead of a flash drive? The drive control is a bit goofy anyway and limited with file names and directories. [ LAWRENCE  Jan 16, 2015 ]
It has a usb port on the back and comes with an extension cable. You can plug a pen drive/ipod/etc in there and it will recognize the format and play it back. You can even use that port to upload images to it to change backgrounds and such. [ Erik  Jan 16, 2015 ]
Hello there I am more than sure that the unit comes with an antenna plug connection for AM and FM bands reception. Double check your installation or the document papers that you received with the receiver. Best of luck and enjoy! [ BERNARD H  Jan 05, 2015 ]

Don't have an ipod so can't say for sure, but I know when I connect my Android phone I can use the receiver to view and switch between the songs that are on phone. Actually bought this for my girlfriends car so I don't use it often, but she loves it, especially the hands free. Only negatives so far are a popup message every time turn car on saying something about the bluetooth audio not connecting, even when bluetooth is disabled on unit. And more importantly, mirrorlink being worthless since only works with a few phones and firmware hasn't been updated in over a year. [ Scott  Jan 10, 2015 ]
Yes. Once you plug in your IPOD to the extension cable, the touch screen will show your songs on the screen and you can use the touchscreen to organize and play your music. [ KEVIN  Jan 06, 2015 ]
    Yes [ Chance  Jan 04, 2015 ]
I connect my Ipod Touch to this model and I can look and display pictures from it to the screen, but can't control playlists via the screen so I would say no unless I'm doing it wrong. [ Kelley  Jan 04, 2015 ]
yes, you can adjust tracks on ur phone using the touchscreen or the remote control of the unit. It seams to work best through the Bluetooth. To watch videos on the head unit through ur phone there are 2 additional parts to do that. [ JamesE  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Sometimes It plays right away some times I need to turn viechel off to get Radio to Play [ IVAN  Jan 04, 2015 ]
    Yes it does. [ MICHAEL  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Yes it does. Pretty nice controls. Scrolling to find an artist might take a second longer than on the iPod but it is not a deal breaker. Search by artist, album, genre, etc. Just buy this. It's worth it [ Matthew  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Yes, this unit gives you full control of the iPod! However, I've only had one minor problem with the play/pause button on the headunit, but the remote play/pause works, as well as the phone controls! After resetting the headunit with the small button on the upper left side, next to the CD player, I then had direct ipod control! [ Edward  Jan 04, 2015 ]
Yes it does, exactly the same way it does over bluetooth but with the addition to choose artist/ Playlist/ songs from the head unit [ Joseph  Jan 03, 2015 ]
The phone I currently have is a Samsung Galaxy S4, therefore I am not in a position to make any suggestions at this time. However, thank you for contacting me and asking me for my participation on this issue. Ainsley S. [ Ainsley S.  Dec 31, 2014 ]
I have a galaxy 4 .I have had no luck synchronize my phone to radio. Bluetooth has been my only way. I have not bought accessory hook up since reviews were not good. [ Tony  Dec 31, 2014 ]
Everything will connect with Bluetooth. I don't have an I Phone but works well with Android. [ Jerry  Dec 31, 2014 ]
1st, this stereo is awesome! I have a galaxy S5 and my wife has an iphone 5s. the pioneer works extremely well with apple products (not so much with android). you can connect your phone via USB cable or bluetooth. I purchased a USB extension cable and mounted it in the center console for easy access. If you want the unit to show apps on the screen then you need to purchase a special cable that is offered by Crutchfield, etc. hope this helps [ Arturo  Dec 31, 2014 ]
Not an expert, but I believe the newer versions that are compatible with app radio one are a better option. We had to spend about $100 on cables to connect our 5s, but I believe the new radios will connect with a regular lightning cable. Even if you spend more on the radio you should make up the difference in cables. Good luck! [ ROBERT  Dec 31, 2014 ]
The Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS has Bluetooth capability which allows it to discover/mate with any Bluetooth-enabled device. I am using the Pioneer Bluetooth connectivity with a Droid Razor smartphone for Pandora, TuneIn streaming radio app, and for playback of music stored on the phone, but have not tried it for sending and receiving phone calls. I connected an earlier-generation Apple Ipod Touch using the Apple cable to USB port on the back of the Pioneer. I haven't tried the iPod Touch's Bluetooth capability with the Pioneer AVH-X3600BHS, but it should work. Even though this Pioneer model was probably built before the iPhone6, the Bluetooth connectivity should work. [ VICTOR K.  Dec 31, 2014 ]

These are located on the back of the unit. This was shipped with a 3 foot usb cord and I bought an aux cord. I ran them to my center console. [ Matthew  Dec 19, 2014 ]
this unit has a USB port on the back and the installer ran a USB cable from the back of the unit to the glove box, and that is where you can plug in your flash drive. Same thing with the aux port they ran a cable to the glove box from behind the dash [ James  Dec 19, 2014 ]
I just ran an extension USB cable from the back to the inside of my center console. Their is no inputs on the front. I'm also running an iPhone cable to the center console. I do like it for the price, sounds good, easy to tune. [ JAMES A  Dec 19, 2014 ]
USB port is on the back of the unit, so you will need to route the USB extender cable (provided) through the dash to make the connection accessible. I have a Chevy Truck and routed the USB connector into the glove box. Out of sight, but sill easily accessible. Overall, I have been very pleased with this unit. [ Daniel  Dec 18, 2014 ]
USB port in the rear. Unit came with an extension that needs to be ran to somewhere accessible. No aux in front. Not sure about the rear [ craig  Dec 18, 2014 ]
Both usb and aux connections are in the rear of the unit. [ Elvin  Dec 18, 2014 ]
The USB and AUX inputs are located on the back of the head unit and the cables should be installed prior to installing the head unit in the dash. There are no inputs on the front. You can use a flash drive if your USB cable is essentially an extension cable (same connector both ends), and not a typical USB cable, which has dissimilar connectors on the ends. [ Donald  Dec 18, 2014 ]
The USB is on the back that you plug. It comes with a cord. So you will have route the cord through or around the radio on where you plan to plug in your devise. I wish it had a plug in the front do you don't have a cord just sitting there. With a little tweaking the cord can be hiding Yes it has aux but it's in he back. Nothing I the front. [ Jake  Dec 18, 2014 ]
They are on the back of the unit. The usb will come with an extension that you can run to the front. I put the wire in the glove box. [ Greg  Dec 18, 2014 ]
Hi Steven, There's a USB port on the back. That port is what the iPhone plugs into. Instead you can plug in a usb drive in on an extension cable. This is also how you update the firmware, if it's needed. Hope this helps! [ Shane  Dec 18, 2014 ]
Hello! The USB port is on the back but the unit comes with an extension cable. I have the cable routed into my glove box for easy access. The auxiliary port is also located in the back but found no real reason to connect that. It's a great unit and I've been really satisfied with it! Best of luck with your decision! Let me know if you have any further questions! Cheers! [ Michael  Dec 18, 2014 ]
The USB is in the back and a cable is provided as an extender so u can route the USB cable to a hidden area if needed. There no connections on the front at all. Im not sure if the aux is in the back or if it exists but its definitely not on the fron [ Arash  Dec 18, 2014 ]
Thanks guys I reset the stereo and setup Bluetooth again and it works again [ Brandon  Dec 17, 2014 ]
Are you running pandora via Bluetooth? If so you'll have to go into settings and reset your Bluetooth settings, the turn off the Bluetooth on the stereo itself as well as on your phone before turning the stereo off again, turn the stereo back on and set up your new Bluetooth connection [ Adam  Dec 17, 2014 ]
I had a similar problem with my bluetooth i reset my radio back to factory the reset button it's between the reject and the power button it works for me good luck [ ALVIN  Dec 17, 2014 ]
If you have rebooted the phone, you can try resetting the headunit. If that fails, the last thing to try would be to reinstall the application on your phone. Above and beyond that, i would reach out to support to see if the headunit is having issues. I had to RMA the first one I had due to it freezing when switching functions. [ Erik  Dec 17, 2014 ]

The clock appears along with whatever your chosen background is. [ RICKI  Oct 07, 2014 ]
    Yes [ JOHN  Oct 07, 2014 ]
    no [ Tyler  Oct 07, 2014 ]
The clock will still be on the display when the radio is off. [ CHARLES  Oct 07, 2014 ]
Yes, it does as long as the screen is on. The screen just displays the word "off" where it says "iPod" in the photo on crutchfeild unless you actually turn the screen off. [ William  Oct 07, 2014 ]
Whatever sound that is on your phone come through the system [ MARVIN CHARLES  Sep 17, 2014 ]
    SORRY I SOLD THIS CAR [ TIMOTHY  Sep 16, 2014 ]
With my Android phone (Galaxy Note3), the stereo does not appear to have the features you are looking for. If the phone rings, it will automatically mute and switch to the bluetooth source. It will not pause for text messages. Nor can I make the handsfree dialing and phone control work. The box says Android compatible, but with my phones, not so much. [ LAWRENCE  Sep 16, 2014 ]
I have an iPhone and I get directions and text through the speakers. It doesn't so much mute my music then but I can set the volume level for information from my phone so I can hear it clearly... No idea on androids sorry. I do know it's not just Siri info that can come through the stereo but phone noises like alerts and such I can hear as well. I turn the volume down unless I'm using it for a function like GPS. Hope this helps.. [ JASON  Sep 16, 2014 ]
Yea it should work. It depends on if your backup camera is on the car stock or if your adding one on. It should work with almost any add on camera. I'm not sure if it would work for a camera installed from the factory, that is most likely vehicle specific. [ William  Aug 25, 2014 ]
Yes. I bought a camera with this radio and it works great. [ RICKI  Aug 22, 2014 ]
    Yes [ RONALD  Aug 22, 2014 ]
I have this unit installed and there is a connection for a rear view camera. However I haven't hooked mine up yet. There is a connection for it and screen controls as well. [ CHARLES  Aug 22, 2014 ]

    Yes it charges [ frank  Mar 19, 2014 ]
It did charge the iPhone using the cable. Got the cables to use app mode, app mode needs some improving. It requires setting for iPhone over Bluetooth to work, so I think that's for so the USB keeps iPhone charging. To me personally I use a 64 gig thumb drive for my music using USB, and the music - etc pandora, I heart - gmusic using iPhone through Bluetooth. [ JIMMY  Mar 12, 2014 ]
    Yes it does. [ MARC  Mar 11, 2014 ]
    Yes it does. [ MARC  Mar 11, 2014 ]
Yes, my iPhone 5S charges through the USB port when using the adapter [ John  Mar 10, 2014 ]
Yes it does. I love this unit. Best for the price in my opinion. [ MALACHI  Mar 09, 2014 ]
Jeff, It did for me using an I pone 4s . Great system all the way around. You will love it. Ron [ RONALD A  Mar 09, 2014 ]
It will charge but very slowly. It charges my old first gen iPod just fine but if your gunna hook up a new smart phone it will charge very slowly. When I have my screen on using phone as a GPS it actually just makes the phones battery die slower than normal. [ William  Mar 09, 2014 ]
    yes [ Tyler  Mar 09, 2014 ]
The faceplate is not removable and the bluetooth does not send album art to the headunit. Album art shows up only with a usb connection. [ Tyler  Jan 15, 2014 ]
The faceplate is not removable. Album art is transferred via bluetooth from android devices. [ WILBUR C  Jan 15, 2014 ]
Faceplate is not removable. Can't answer the album art / Bluetooth question because I use iOS. [ GUY  Jan 15, 2014 ]
