Product Research

Overview: This grille system consists of three aluminum grille rods designed to protect your JL Audio 8W7 subwoofer when mounted in an enclosure. 3/8" grille rod mounting holes will need to be drilled 1/2" deep into the enclosure around the subwoofer opening. Installation instructions and a template is supplied to align to the holes around the woofer opening of your enclosure. The grille rods are then inserted into these holes and will need to be glued into place (The woofer should be mounted before this step is completed).

  • Width: 8-1/4" (x2) and 10-7/8" (x1)
  • Height: 3-1/2"
  • Diameter: 3/8"

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
I really want to protect my 8W7. Even though this will not protect the face of the sub wholly, I can always lean something against it like a suitcase when I am traveling and that would help prevent any smaller objects in my trunk from hitting the sub and damaging it hopefully.
