Depending upon what you are going for these are fantastic. The lows are there 48hz., and the highs go up to 5000hz. I put 4 of these in the doors of a Toyota Matrix with separate JL tweeters up by the mirror. Both are driven by amplifiers. I dont know what they sound like without one but with one, they are fantastic. American made in Florida, and built to last. The frame work and terminal clips are probably 3 times as strong as they need to be. You could run these over with a car and not bend the frame work! Not kidding! Then added a subwoofer in the hatch. If I could upload the sound I'd do it. Pricey, yes. Worth it? Every penny!!!

Definitely worth every penny. the bass is superb! i recommend, also fyi I have them connected to a amplified stereo with a dedicated power source running straight to the battery to receive optimal amp and speaker performance.
