Great purchase! This amp does exactly what I expected without working itself out. I'm running 1 JAudio w5 shallow mount 2hm. This 2 components are made for each other. Wow! I will be purchasing another set to run duals.
Pros: Heavy Duty
Cons: Zero

600/1 *awesome*
Jim from Cleveland, OH on 8/29/2016
I previously had the jl 500/1. After many years of service it decided to quit. I thought I would try the slash 600/1. I'm glad I Did. The extra 100 Watts really woke my subs up. Jl audio is truly #1.
Pros: Monstrous sound Adjustable levels Power
Cons: None

Great amp, but a little peeved by very odd omission of certain feature
TbonePdx from Portland, OR on 7/7/2016
Mostly satisfied with my purchase. As usual for most JL products, the amp is very well-built. But Crutchfield's description is a little misleading on the subject of the remote bass knob (see cons, below).
Pros: Build quality feels top-notch, power output is very robust, physical size is very good, excellent crossover, RCA outputs is nice.
Cons: Does not have a reverse polarity switch. Not the biggest deal, but it would have helped tremendously upon initial installation and seems odd that one is missing at this price point. More annoying is the fact that the remote is NOT a simple subwoofer volume control like it is with other JL amps, and most amps overall. The remote actually boosts the center frequency ONLY of the one-band EQ on the amp itself, not the entire sub's volume. Had I known this I may have chosen differently.

Monoblock
Jason from Mobile, Alabama on 9/16/2014
I've owned many amplifiers and enjoyed car audio for 20 years. This amplifier is the best I've owned. It's build quality reminds me of the 1990's PPI amps. It's more sophisticated. The chassis is heavy and precisely assembled. The owners manual is extensive and well written. There are myriad controls and they're all made with high quality switches/knobs. It installed easily. There were no issues to solve, no engine him, no turn on thump, no static. It's powerful and clean. I'm driving a 15" MB Quart DVC sub rated for 750 watts RMS. This amp controls it well and makes it sing. Very powerful. I'm impressed.
Pros: Sound Quality Build quality Power Features (1.5 ohm stable, subsonic filter, RCA pass through with filters, preamp section, auto turn on, remote...) Warranty
Cons: Price Made in China

True powerhouse!
lsbm3 from ATL on 12/31/2013
I've been a JL 500/1 user for years and recently did an upgrade to this unit. Tech spec might be similar to 500/1 but it sounds much cleaner and better paired with my 10w7 (of course 100w+ for more stability). Yes, I'm somewhat an audiophile guy. Packaging was the best I've seen recently from online retailer with tons of popcorns, and shippment was lightening fast. Cool black housing is an extra for aesthetic. Only con is I have to source optional CD from JL to calibrate, but you can source free frequency track online from googling. You can't go wrong with this amp.
Pros: Pure and enough extra stable power for my sub Tons of features Clean bass Aesthetic
Cons: Lack of calibration CD(could've included for free)
