Big bass performance from a rugged sub
This M6 Series marine 10" sub enclosure reflects JL Audio's commitment to awesome sound, cutting-edge styling, and quality engineering. This enclosure fits neatly into a storage compartment and is available in two styles that will look great in any boat.
Handles up to 250 watts RMS
This sub can really rock, with a massive magnet and heavy-duty componentry that can handle up to 250 watts RMS. It's tough, too, with a rugged enclosure, a sealed waterproof front, and stylish, UV-resistant grilles. Add it to your existing system, or use it in conjunction with JL Audio's marine speakers to create a powerful sound system that will really rock the waves.
Built for life on the water
Built from the ground up for the marine environment, the enclosure is finished with a gel coat that'll stand up to life on the water. The sub's marine-grade synthetic fiber spider, injection-molded polypropylene cone, and synthetic rubber surround provide outstanding performance, while shrugging off the corrosive effects of salt and moisture. The UV-resistant grilles will stay factory-fresh for seasons to come. As an added bonus, you're protected by JL Audio's 2-year warranty.
Important Installation Note: The enclosure is not drilled for speaker cable, giving the installer more flexibility in locating the sub. The enclosure must be drilled, wired, and sealed as part of the installation process.

Product Research
Features
Overview: The JL Audio M6-10FES-Gb-S-GmTi-4 is an enclosed subwoofer system designed for marine applications. It's equipped with an M6-10W 10" subwoofer driver installed in a sturdy, all-fiberglass enclosure with a beautiful gloss-black gel-coat finish and titanium sport grille. The enclosure is precisely tuned to provide the best bass output for an open-air boat installation. For best performance, the subwoofer should be used with a marine amplifier in the 75W-250W RMS power range (sold separately).
Note: The enclosure is NOT drilled for speaker wire and has no external terminals. It is up to the installer to determine the best location on the enclosure to drill an exit hole for the speaker wire, based on the location chosen for mounting the subwoofer.
Marine Tested: JL Audio's marine subwoofers go through ultraviolet testing chambers (to simulate years of sun exposure) and salt fog chambers (to simulate years of exposure to salt-water environments and are built to withstand the rigors of marine use.
Woofer: The M6-10W subwoofer features an injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene cone woofer with a synthetic rubber surround specifically formulated for marine use. The woofer uses a vented motor design with a marine-grade stainless steel rear diffuser plate and a marine-grade synthetic fiber spider with a progressive roll design. It has marine-grade brass connection terminals (male quick slides, .250"/.1875"). Marine-grade, stainless-steel mounting screws and washers are included (pre-installed on sub).
DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis): JL Audio's proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA) technology results in ultra-linear motor force over a long range of excursion and a wide range of power inputs to reduce distortion and improve sound quality.
Installation Notes: The enclosure should be securely mounted to the location you have chosen. It is recommended that at least 2 mounting bolts are used to secure the enclosure--three or more for extra strength and stability. This involves drilling holes in the base and the mounting surface for the mounting hardware. Stainless steel hardware (hex head bolts, fender washers, lock washers, and hex nuts) should be used to resist corrosion. An additional hole needs to be drilled in the enclosure for entry of the speaker wire. Silicone caulk should be used to seal the enclosure and protect the wire from abrasion.
