This subwoofer really had my hopes up, maybe that is part of the problem, maybe my expectations were too high. This subwoofer had everything i wanted, on paper at least. I was looking for a 2 ohm, ported 12 inch that is relatively small. I went over the demensions given and measured in my trunk but the box is bigger than you think. However because i measured, the box did in fact fit in my trunk. Moving on: this is not quite as loud as i wanted it to be. I thought i was getting a really good ported sub that would boom the daylights out of my music. It has let me down. For the dollars i expected much more. I hooked up an old polk box that is about 1 cubic foot and it was boomier than this sub/box. However, aside from the loudness (or lack there of) this sub is clear. it hits pretty fast and is pretty sounds good. I will be holding on to this sub for a while at least, as it is barely good enough. I have this sub paired with a JL audio jx500/1d which makes 500w RMS at 2ohm. This sub is 300w RMS at 2 ohm...yet it still seems im not making enough power for it. But like it said, it is just barely good enough.
Pros: -clear, sound quality. -box isn't too deep -sub hits decently fast, good for rock music
Cons: -not really that loud, like i thought it would be -not boomy
