Directions are clear and conscise as well as correct. Me and my brother wired, cut the console properly and installed this BEAST to the floor. Paired it w the JL Audio jx500/1D. My brother wouldnt turn it up on the amp all the way. @3/4 turn this thing sounds sooo smooth and hits amazingly. Even better my sub is mounted to the floor and I only lost 4" in the cab. Easily the hardest hitting 10" sub I've heard!

The speaker came well packed and in good condition. The turn around time was excellent. The communication via email was great. Crutchfield let me know what was going on at all times. Great customer service. I can not wait to get the speaker installed and hear what it sounds like.

Amazing Product!

For starters, I hope you appreciate this review as I did a LOT of research before my purchase and there's just not many reviews out there on this product. So I feel it necessary to write some good words about it here. It's definitely not a 1-2 hour install as mentioned in the instructions, but it never is. As long as you have a dremel tool or equivalent to cut your center console with and all other tools you should be fine with the install. Nothing too complicated, just time consuming. KEEP IN MIND WHAT SIZE AMP YOU PURCHASE. I'm talking dimensions not power. I went with the Kenwood KAC-9105D and it sounds like a perfect match HOWEVER it will not fit under either seat or really anywhere else for that matter. It's a truck. I ended up mounting it against the back panel between the two seats just under the rear window. It looks like a very professional install and actually great for cooling, but it also advertises that you have an aftermarket stereo installed. Conclusion: I would very much recommend this speaker/enclosure to anyone with an access cab Tacoma. PERFECT sound if you ask me. It doesn't blow out your windows, but I'm sure it might if I pushed the volume more. It's got great a strong tight punch to it and all of my music sounds good with it. Which is everything but country music. Everything from Tool to Eminem sounds awesome! I'm extremely pleased with my purchase here and highly recommend it. Another great product produced by the folk at JL Audio R&D.

Perfect Fit

There were a lot of custom sub enclosures that I was looking for that would still allow me to use my rear bench seats either as seats, or laid flat, and still blend in with the interior. After weighing my options on different custom built ones (MDF or fiberglass), I decided to go with one of the most trusted names in the auto sound industry. Let me first say that this set up (pushed by a Alpine MRP-M450 amp) does not bump, so if you're wanting window rattling bass that can be felt from a mile away, steer clear of this. This combination fills in the bass perfectly without distorting anything. The bass is lower than that of the designed mid-bass drivers and allow all the factory speakers to work as they should, as well as a bit more efficiently. I wish I could give more information about the actual install, but I was only able to get to the point before I had to cut into the console before I realized that my dremel was nowhere to be found. The install up to that point is pretty strait forward, for the trucks that come with the power inverter; this will need to be taken out completely, or relocated to make room for the box underneath the console. I'm not going to go into extreme detail about how much space is left and why I did not see that as an issue because if you are thinking about buying this, you probably have already done your homework on the specifics of this matter.
