I have been in professional audio for 25+ years. I also dabbled in car audio during the same period of time. This setup exceeded my expectations. We installed it my nephew's 2012 Silverado 1500 extended cab with factory speakers, aftermarket head unit, JL Audio 500/1 and a 1 Farad cap. The low frequency response was punchy, but it would reach low notes surprisingly well.
Pros: Easy installation Phenomenal Sound Quality
Cons: High investment, but you get what you pay for.

This is my 3rd p/u I installed a JL Stealth Box in, got 600 watts going to it and i'm using the stock Bose system for everything else. The Alpine amp with the bass knob really works well with the stock system. You gotta hear it to believe it.
Pros: Tight and loud. If I didn't show it to you, you might not find it. Gotta love that.
Cons: None

First let me say this thing hits hard! I have it powered by a JL Audio XD600/1v2 and it shakes the entire truck! I highly recommend this setup because this amp and stealthbox can be mounted under the rear seat out of view. I also kept the factory head unit so the entire thing looks stock when you get in the truck. My only complaint is that the carpet on the box doesn't exactly match the carpet in the truck. Also, I highly recommend the remote bass control. However, the install requires you to drill a huge hole and get under the truck to bolt the box in. Also, I found that the grommet to go through the firewall on the 07-12 Silverados is on the driver side. This means you will have to run a longer power cable. These are very minor problems considering how well the box is made and how concealable it is.
Pros: Hits hard You won't lose any space in the rear seat
Cons: Carpet does not match perfectly Expensive Drilling a huge hole
