JL Audio puts months of research and design into each Stealthbox® custom-fit subwoofer to ensure not only that it fits, but that it sounds better than any other custom enclosed system. First, JL Audio determines the ideal shape and mounting location for each enclosure, so that it looks like an original part of the vehicle it's designed for. Next, they mount each high-performance subwoofer so it delivers amazing firepower from within its unique enclosure, without sacrificing clarity or musical depth.

The fiberglass enclosure offers superior rigidity while allowing more interior volume, so the sub can turn out louder, deeper bass. JL Audio craftsmen then laminate, grind, join, and finish each Stealthbox® by hand. The end result: full-bodied, distortion-free bass from an impressively stealthy enclosure.

This Stealthbox® enclosure installs under the rear seat in select 2014-up Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Double Cab trucks. This Stealthbox® includes two 10" TW1-4 subwoofers from JL Audio. JL Audio has rated the difficulty of this Stealthbox® installation as simple. You should be able to install this enclosure with no problems if you have any experience with car audio.

Installs under rear seat. Will not affect the folding of the rear seat or rear leg room. Installation requires removal of plastic storage tray under rear seat (if equipped). Will not fit Crew Cab or Standard Cab trucks.

Overview: JL Audio's SB-GM-SLVD/10TW1/BK Stealthbox has been specifically designed to fit select 2014 - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Double Cab trucks. It features two 10" 10TW1-4 thin-line subwoofers in a custom sealed enclosure that mounts underneath the rear seat.

Subwoofers: The JL Audio Stealthbox's two 10" 10TW1-4 subwoofers offer a powerful combination of a shallow mounting depth and high excursion capability, producing deep powerful bass from a small enclosure. The 4 ohm voice-coil subwoofers are wired for a 2 ohm output to a single set of terminals, and are capable of handling up to 600 watts RMS. Black steel mesh grilles are included for protecting the subwoofers.

Enclosure: The Stealthbox enclosure is made from fiberglass coated in black carpet and is designed to mount underneath the rear seat without affecting rear leg room or folding of the rear seat.

Note: Installation requires removal of the plastic storage tray uner the rear seat (if equipped). Will not fit Crew Cab or Standard Cab trucks.

Do I need to buy an amp with this?

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Stealthboxes do not come with amps. You need to get an amp that outputs around 600 watts RMS at 2 ohms to drive this Stealthbox. Hi James, thank you for your question. The JL Audio Stealthboxes do come preloaded with subwoofers, we would not be able to offer an empty enclosure option. what is the volume of this box? I want to swap the 10TW1's out for some of the 10TW3's and I'm curious if there is enough volume for two of them.

It will probably account for the type of music you listen to. I listen to classic rock, country and jazz and it has more than enough volume for me. You have to give it enough power and it will shine.

Absolutely, I have two amps mounted to the top center section. A JL 600 Watt mono amp, and a kicker 400watt 4 way for the door speakers. Try to keep the amp as far back (towards the truck bed), as possible. Since the further forward you go, the less clearance you have when you lower the seats.

i had to mount mine behind seat on back wall

I mounted a 5 channel jl amp on a piece of carpeted wood on the back wall behind the back seat. I used short metal screws with silicone on them to seal them from the elements. I screwed the wood onto the truck then screwed the amp on the wood. Hope this helped
