A must for any stereo without a DSP
Jeff from Racine, WI on 10/30/2020
Amazing product, pairs perfectly with the JL Fix 82 for use with my factory stereo. I have 5 presets & a valet preset for when my car is being serviced. The computer program to adjust settings works just like a touch screen head unit would to fine tune everything. Once you have the cutoffs & volume set on one equalizer preset, you just copy over to the next one & adjust the frequencies you want to alter. Could not be simpler. The remote control & LED light simplify operation. I actually like this more than aftermarket radios I have used on previous cars.
Pros: Ease of use, remote knob & led indicator light. Computer program to set presets couldn't be any easier to use. Works amazingly well on a MacBook.
Cons: Not really a con, but if you like tinkering while you drive like on an aftermarket touch screen head unit, this is not for you. All adjustments are done via computer.

Most people don't understand the possibilities of this piece of equipment. This is a game changer for any kind of stereo system. It should be the first piece you buy!
Pros: Fully I'll like Tronic crossover. 120 band graphic equalizer. Parametric stabilization. Time delay. Much much more
Cons: there are none!

Get one!
Chad from Kentucky on 9/4/2018
I love this DSP. The software is super easy to use, and it sounds terrific. The best feature is the remote selectable presets using the included knob. It's really nice being able to have custom crossover and eq settings for country, pop, rap, etc so you can, for example, cross over your mids and highs at a higher frequency a for listening to rap very loud so you don't overdrive the smaller speakers and then have a setting for pop, country, etc where you get more mid bass from the door speakers. All you have to do it push the knob and it changes instantly and the led color changes to indicate mode. I wish it had more pre amp voltage than 4v, but it's not particularly noisy even with the low outputs. I also wish it had Bluetooth compatibility so you could use it with a tablet, but the software is very good, so I can live without Bluetooth, especially at this price.
Pros: Presets, sound quality, easy to program
Cons: Weak preamp outs, no iOS or android compatibility

Nice DSP for the money
Charlton from Baton Rouge, LA on 5/14/2018
Nice product. The install was straightforward and the GUI is very intuitive if you have a general understanding of audio. I'm only using it for xovers, peq, and time alignment. It can do much more than that but I don't need it for my system. The amount of features for the money is very hard to beat.
Pros: Price point, features, ease of use
Cons: Renders your OE volume control useless

Seems good
Brian from Sacramento, CA on 6/4/2017
Item was easy to install mainly because I already had the wires run from the stock amplifier. It calibrated with no problem from the unit. After an update on TUN it still calibrated the first time. Seems to have done its job.
Pros: Easy install and small, did not have a problem calibrating all my channel signals on my 2014 F150 w/ Sony.
Cons: None yet

Powerful system tuning in a small package!
Michael from Houston, TX on 3/6/2017
I'm using the TWK D8 along side JL's Fix 82 integration processor in a 2015 Dodge Durango w/ the UConnect 8.4 stereo. The TWK D8's digital connection to the Fix is clean and simple and the TUN software is intuitive and easy to use. Being able to adjust the PEQ using a drag and drop style control is a nice feature as is being able to see audio levels in real time next to each channel to avoid sending any clipped signals to the amplifiers. Adding the DRC-200 allows for master volume, sub woofer control and quick changes between tuning presets. The inclusion of a separate valet mode provides the ability to quickly and discretely limit the vehicle's stereo output when handing the keys over to someone else. Installation of the DSP is aided by the unit's small size which made adding it to a previous install very easy. My only criticisms thus far are that the LED status light is too bright and really needs to be placed somewhere out of the way to avoid it becoming a distraction while driving and, this is minor but, the DRC-200 becomes inactive when the TWK is connected to a computer for tuning. The TUN software becomes the controller and I'd like to be able to use the volume knob during tuning instead of my laptop. All around, its been a great choice for a DSP in my stereo system.
Pros: Easy Install, Intuitive Tuning Software, Good Build Quality
Cons: LED Status Light Is Too Bright, Control Knob Becomes Inactive During Laptop Tuning Sessions
