Great amp with plenty of clean power. I chose this amp after not being satisfied with the 500W RMS mono channel on the Alpine X-A90V. I'm pushing 4 Alpine 6x9 R-S69.2's and two JL 12W1v3-4's rated at 300w RMS each. I was skeptical if a extra 100 watts the JL XD1000/5 offered on the mono channel would really make a difference and let me tell you the difference is huge. The bass hits so much more harder and deeper. Surprisingly the 6x9s also sound better. I'm very happy with this amp and I highly recommend it. It's nice and simple running one 5 channel amp vs two separate amps. It's a little pricy but you get what you pay for.

This amplifier is everything that JL states and more! I absolutely love it! Totally brought my system to life over the Kenwood KAC-7005PS I was running.
Pros: A bit pricey, but well worth the money once installed

I purchased this product for my sons car. Lack of fullness in lower volumes and too much distortion in higher volumes. Paid restocking charge and piurchased HD. Much better.
Pros: Cost effective
Cons: You expect more for the money and brand.

Love this amp. More than enough power. I'm going to be upgrading the rest of the system soon. I'm very impressed with how clear JL products are. They are a little spendy but worth it. If ya want it to sound right the first time get all JL. It's all designed to work together. I am really impressed with this amp. I have this amp running a front set of JL components. The rear fill is just some infinity coaxials, I am running a single 12 W3v3-2 ohm sub for now. I am running this in a 2002 jeep grand Cherokee and it fills it. A sedan this would be probably extreme. I would go ahead and get another sub but I already had the box built for a single & I would need 4 ohm subs, right now I'm just running a singe 2 ohm. Once you hear a use this amp is going to make you want more.
Pros: Great amp for running a complete system. Great SQ & efficiency. Easy on the electrical system.

I have had other "system" amps that claimed to power all my speakers, and I was happy with the choice that was made for me in the past at other car audio installers , but my mind has been changed. The XD1000/5v2 is far and away the best performing full system amp that I have ever had! The power that it produces is clean and precise and makes my listening experience that much more awesome. The only negative thing that I can say is Im sorry I took so long to switch to JL. Not only do I have this amp but I also have the JL Audio HO112-W6v3 as well. This combination proves to be the best that I have ever heard!
Pros: compact size for the power output of the amp great sounding bass from the 12w6v3

This amp fit cleanly under the passenger seat of my '16 Subaru. Unless you are just trying to annoy people this has more power than you'll need. It drives a single 10" Infinity sub, coax Alpine and Infinity Kappa components to the point you'll need hearing protection before it distorts. I'm interested in quality more than volume so this was my choice and I couldn't be happier.
Pros: compact size, plenty of power, easy connection, runs entire system with one small amp.
Cons: Does not sense speaker wire short. I don't know if that's regularly done but this thing puts out enough power to fuse and burn speaker wires without shutting down or overloading. Could potentially cause a fire in the right conditions; requires capable installation.

THIS AMP IS SMALL SLICK VERY CLEAN AND (((((((POWERFULLLLL)))))) HAVE IT RUNNING C5'650 N C2650X AND A HO12W6V3 WITH AN ALPINE HD149BT THIS SYSTEM SLAMS YET PLAYS VERY BEAUTIFUL THE HEART OF MY SYSTEM IS THIS XD1000/5V2 WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT *****

Replaced two older amps with this single unit. Wasn't sure if this physically tiny amp was going to be able to provide the power I needed. No worries about that anymore. Clean, clear and able to play loud for as long as your ears can handle it. Powering a JL C5, JL C3 and two JL 10w3. Source unit is the factory Ford radio and the JL CleanSweep.

Great product. The amp has more than enough power to run my entire system, and it's small size made locating it very simple. This is my first time running JL Audio anything, and I have to say, their repuatation is well deserved.
