JL Audio MX600/3

Amp seems to work fine, but gets really hot. My power wire runs are not very long(less than two feet) and I used the JL amplifier install kit with the circuit breaker. I've received mixed feedback from tech support on if this is normal. One guy said it isn't normal, the other said because of the compact size and amount of power it's generating it has to get hot. The last guy said if it's not shutting off then everything is fine. I put it in my boat so it's not something I'm in everyday. I guess I will see what multiple lake weekends do and if this thing burns out or thrives.

C6 Corvette Convertible
Gary from Phoenix , Arizona on 5/28/2019
I am installing this in a 2013 C6 corvette convertible. It is installed in the factory Bose amp location under the passenger carpet. Traced the Bose amp onto 1/4" abs plastic to make a bracket leaving the upper end a little longer for the JL MX600/3 to attach to. I then cut a window into the bottom of the bracket so I could make amplifier adjustments once it is installed. My other componets are JL, C5 two way components in the doors with the JL Stealthbox 8" subwoofers behind each seat. The project is not completed yet but is going nicely and I am very pleased with the versatility in mounting the MX600 amp.
