What's there really to say ? You can never go wrong with JL . Very clean sound and work absolutely perfect with my setup . Side Note: Crutchfield's car fitting tool says they will not fit in the back door of a 2002-06 Escalade, Tahoe or Gmc . They in fact do fit without having to use the spacers I made.

2013 Lincoln MKX

Great speakers. Put them in the front door/a pillar of my MKX for improved bass and clarity. They work great even without the crossover (THX system already filters). Hoping to continue with more JL speakers in the rear!

I installed these in my 2010 F150 to complement the Sony XAV-AX1000. Installation is tricky because you need to cut a hole for the tweeter and then find a sensible location for the cross-over. I flush-mounted the tweeters in the sail panel and attached the cross-over inside the door panel with velcro, although that may not have been the ideal location. NOTE: the installation kit that comes from Crutchfield does not comprehend the installation of components. You will need a LOT of additional wire and be prepared to cut/splice/solder all the connections. No big deal if you're familiar with this. The sound is very good. These are the highest end speakers I've purchased for a car. I'm using an iPhone-based sound analyzer to flatten the EQ in my truck using the Sony's 10-band EQ. Where many have stated (online) that 250Hz is an issue in most cars, 250Hz is at least 6dB lower than other frequencies in my truck and needs amplified. These speaker are also lacking in the bass area around 53-63Hz and will need a sub to fill in that area. Otherwise, mid's are good and high's could be a little higher around 8KHz.

Speaker upgrade

The installation was explained beautifully with step by step instructions. I was supplied with the correct matching parts to install the speakers and instructions on how to attach them. The speakers sound great and really add depth and realism to my sound system without having to 'blast' myself out of the automobile. I really appreciate the recommendation of purchasing the correct tools to remove the areas needed to get to the speaker outlets. Great planning and when I called for technical support, they were able to help me within twenty five minutes. Great job - thank you

Just had these installed in a '06 Lincoln Mark LT (Ford F150 super cab) with an Infinity 2 channel x 60 watts amp that Crutchfield recommended. Clean, crisp, sound wonderful! Couldn't be happier, such an improvement over the stock components! I would recommend any day. Running an Alpine headunit.

Great Speaker Set!

Great sound out of these speakers! Not as loud(with radio at same volume setting) as the stock speakers, but clearer and more fine tones to be heard. I also did a frequency range test and the top end was approximately the same for these vs stock but the bass end went from the speaker stopping at ~90hz to the JL Audio speakers continuing down to ~60hz...so definitely more bass out of these! Can't wait to get the rear speakers for my Wrangler to see what a difference changing them all makes! One thing to be careful of when installing...on the side of the styrofoam packaging is the tweeter mounting brackets and wiring/splicing ends. Made it through the passenger side before I saw these and it made the driver side much easier to install!!!

JL components for 2007 Expedition

JL Audio as always has great product. The woofers fit into the locations with the provided adapters. The tweeters fit into the factory locations using the surface mounts pushed in from the rear and held in place with silicone and back straps. Sound quality is excellent though the tweets are a little bright in the 0db setting. Unless you are using active crossovers you will likely need to drop them back to the -3db setting as I did. Great buy and quality for the entry level JL component kit.

Huge upgrade

Installed these along with C2-570s in the rear doors and a 400W 4 channel amp to power them. I have an 08 FX4 with the factory Premium sound so it already sounded pretty good. I was expecting an increase in volume and clarity but not like this. It sounds better than my buddies Bose system in his 15 GMC 2500.

These are really impressive speakers. But I am thinking I might move them to the back doors. And try to find something with more mid bass for the front. Great speakers though. I hear notes that I never heard with the stock system.
