Amazing Sound Quality
I installed these in my 2016 Ram 2500 Crew Cab. I replaced my entire system in steps. I first replaced the (4) door speakers with these without being amplified. The difference was amazing. It sounded like I had a subwoofer hooked up. A few days later, I replaced the dash speakers with JL C2-350 speakers. I did not realize how much of a difference that would make. I installed them while the stereo was on so that I could see a sound comparison while unplugging the factory one and plugging in the new one. Again, no comparison. It sounded like I turned up my stereo 30-40% louder just by replacing the dash speakers. The clarity was ridiculous. If you don't do anything else, buy the dash speakers and see an amazing difference. Building a system can be addicting because it's amazing to hear such high quality JL sound. The next thing you know, you are doing what I did.....my plan was to replace the door and dash speakers only.....but then I bought a JL M1000/5V amp, the Alpine X009-Ram stereo, and the JL 10" W3 stealthbox. I ran my door speakers and subwoofer through the amp.......and holy cow! My ears are still ringing. You won't regret buying JL. Also, door speakers and dash speakers are hooked together. Don't amplify dash speakers. Run those directly to head unit.
Pros: Everything. Full range of sound. You don't realize how much better aftermarket sounds compared to a factory system. An amp really makes the entire system sound amazing, but changing out the speakers will be enough. Buy the $10 connectors.
Cons: My commute from work is now longer cause I can't get enough of the sound quality.
