I have this amp running three 10" W6's in a late model Camaro. Also the JL HD 600/4 to the C-5 mids and hi's. I tell you this to advise that an auxiliary dry cell battery is a must. As these amps are power hungry. That is not a flaw against them, just a fact. As they are the best amps I've used or known of yet-in my 30 years of car audio enthusiasm.
Pros: Small, no overheating in 2 years
Cons: None so far

I've owned all kinds of amps in my lifetime. This is the most stable, constant cristal clear sound, compact design yet, powerful. I'm pushing 3 10's w6 and I'm just grateful I was able to get this set up together. I won't use anything but JL from now on.
Pros: Excellent sound, excellent quality, excellent power.
Cons: No cons.

I have this paired with a 13w7ae and it is an amazing combination. The range of this amplifier allows the 13w7 to easily push clean, balanced sound well into the mid-bass frequencies (90hz+ cutoff) with perfectly clean sound with thundering low end bass. I believe this amp is substantially under rated on power handling. JL Audio provides guidance to easily configure it for 1200 RMS using only a voltmeter and test tone and they recommend at 3/4 head-unit volume. Paired with an Audio Control line driver, I have easily pushed it to over 1400 RMS with far less distortion than any class D amp I've ever used (and that is quite a few).
Pros: Small, relatively low power consumption, cool running, very clean sound.
Cons: The subsonic filter is not variable (so I run with it off). It's the highest power amplifier JL Audio makes.

This amp is a replacement of a 1200W mono amp from another MFG. Have two JL Audio 10 6Wv3 -D4 Subs. Its pushing. In a 2005 GMC Sierra extended cab truck. It rocked before but is louder now. The previous amp pushed them but couldn't take the beating these subs can take. Needless to say the amp lost. Installed this JL Audio HD 1200/1. From the moment I could turn it on an set the gain, this mother delivers none stop. The subs are set to 4ohms. My wiring is 4 gage from the battery to my 150 amp breaker. An 4 gage from my fuse box behind my back seat to the amp. I had no problems turning it all the way up, watched my new amp purr like a LION. My battery has a HP alternator taking care if business, my speaker wire is 12gage to a subbox an 12gage to the subs. So every thing is fine an dandy, then I noticed a amber glow not from the amp but from my fuse box behind my back seat, turned down the sub power the amber glow went away. Long story short I forgot to replace the fuse 60w fuse for a 100w. This bad boy likes the power. Also have two sets of JL Audio c3 650 two way speakers. In my doors front an back. Look forward to many years of pleasure from this bad boy. So if you want the best. You can't go wrong with JL Audio it might cost more then you can afford, that's why you save to buy, I did.
Pros: Build quality, power handling, pure music no distortion, all in a tight little package.
Cons: None so far

this is definitely the most efficient amp i have ever used. i have many different brands over the past 10 yrs and have installed quite a few. this one left an impression. wide range of voltage operation and ohm stability make this amp one of the best. mine never gets hot. got it paired up with JL Audio 13.5W7AE and its simply beautiful. best part about the amp would have to be that you can set the gains correctly using a volt meter since JL is kind enough to send you a chart showing ideal voltage matched with ohm load (no clipping without using an o-scope). very easy to set up, mount practically anywhere, remarkably powerful and efficient, super clean power. what else do u look for?
Pros: power, easy set-up, effieciency, small
Cons: i cant afford 2 of them :(
