Perk up your maritime music

JL Audio's M100-CT-CG-WH marine tweeters will open up the sound of your boat's system, broadcasting all the little details that make your music sparkle.

These silk dome tweeters radiate the high frequencies in a broad pattern for excellent sound coverage, and they're treated to withstand exposure to sun and moisture. Corrosion- and UV-resistant polymer housings ensure that they'll last for many seasons on the water. JL Audio includes all the hardware you'll need for flush-mounting these durable tweeters.

The UV-resistant polymer basket encases and protects the entire structure, and as an added bonus the UV protection ensures the grilles will stay white, looking factory-fresh even after years of sun exposure.

If you're looking for a sleek, stylish way to mount your tweeters, check out JL Audio's MTPOD-M100-CL billet aluminum tweeter pods.

Q
Could these be wired from the speaker without affecting Ohm ?
[ Is_  Oct 19, 2018 ]

A
What do you mean by "wired from the speaker"? The speaker impedance or ohm value is effected by adding another speaker to the same channel. Or putting more than one speaker on a single channel output.... if you are connecting just a single speaker to one channel output, the wire, that is connecting them together, essentially does not get factored in as a value of ohms or impedance, but in reality, that wire does have a value. That is why it is important to use high quality speaker wire. In the marine environment "tinned" copper wire is important. I have not seen many "tinned" speaker wires on the market, but there is plenty of 16/2, 14/2, 12/2, and 10/2 "tinned" Boat Cable available. The "tinned" wire just added an extra layer of protection in an already harsh environment by not allowing the copper conductor or wire to oxidize rapidly. Not sure if that answered your question or not? Hope so.
