Great for Tacoma Doors

Hi, I bought these speakers right before Crutchfield discontinued them and got a great deal. I installed them in the doors of my 2008 4x4 Regular Cab Tacoma (limited on space). I added a JVC 60w/channel amp to drive them and they sound great. My timing was off a little and didn't get to add a sub until about a week later and was taken aback at the sound quality (with the sub balancing the bass and now being able to tune the mid ranges through the amp). Great speakers. I would recommend that Crutchfield change it's instructions for the Tacoma "Master Sheet" though. I had to fabricate (plywood/mdf) mounts for the tweeters as the stock tweeters were welded to their mounts. Also, the factory tacoma speakers are "crossed over" at the tweeter and the speaker wiring adaptors are useless. Great speakers, work on the master sheet for Regular Cab Tacoma Component Speaker install.

Great speaker set, nice full sound

I had a set of Boston Acoustics that were in the car when I bought it and they were full of highs and no mids. I knew I needed a change so I got a great deal on these JBL's and have not been sorry!! These speakers have a nice warm mid range that really fills in nicely between my subwoofers lows and the clean highs that are not brassy or tinny in their sound quality. I definitely recommend these speakers for someone looking to step up in sound quality but not willing to go all out with the C3 or C5 series.

Perfect Sound

Bought these speakers to replace my factory ones in my 07 scion tc. The only problem i ran into installing them was my tweeters they had a factory harness pluged into them. And if the factory ones weren't plugged in the speakers wouldnt work so i heard if u put paper clips in the harness and twisted them together it like grounds it or something heck if i know but it worked. So installed the JL tweets and i was done. And Let me tell ya the speakers are the bomb PERFECT mids PERFECT HIGHs. Love em JL Thanks to crutchfield for sending everything I needed.

Great Component Speakers for Nissan Frontier CC

These were a no brainer for me cause they were the only component speakers that fit in my front doors without modification. They go perfect with my system which consist of C2-600x 2 way speakers in the back and these in the front hooked up to a JL G4500 80 x 4 amplifier. They also have a continuous rms of 60 watts which is perfect when put with my rear speakers. They sound very clear and get loud enough. They compare with many higher range systems but for a more affordable price. I also have them paired with 2 JL 10w1v2 subwoofers hooked up to the JL G1700 amplifier which takes care of the bass since these speaker may be lacking a little bass if you don't have additional subwoofers.

Exceptional Sound!

I have two pair of these installed in my '06 Ram 1500. I have been an audio enthusiast all my life and these JL's deliver crisp sound day in and day out. They have been installed for a little over a year and I have never regretted my decision in purchasing them. May be a little pricey but you get what you pay for. With Crutchfield and JL, you can't go wrong.

Great speakers~!

The VR525's were installed in the doors of my '08 Acura TL with the tweets installed in the dash. They mids to highs from these speakers are crisp and very clear. I am very happy with my purchase!
