Several uses

You can use this cable for a variety of installations:

1) If you are adding a new 4-channel amp, you can use this cable to run the output signal back up to the radio location to connect to the factory speaker wires.

2) If you are installing a new car stereo, you can use this cable to bypass the factory amplifier, connecting the speaker wires from your new radio to the speaker wires coming out of your factory amplifier.

3) You can use this cable to run the speaker-level and turn-on signals from your factory radio to an amplifier in another location.

Color-coded

Each of the nine wires is color-coded to match the aftermarket standard for wiring, and Scosche uses tin-plated, oxygen-free copper to prevent oxidation and improve overall reliability. Run the EFX 9-Wire Ultra Flex once, and move on! You'll have a kickin' system by lunchtime.

When using the RCA converter from head unit to amplifier, do i still need to connect speaker wire similar to the 9 wire (8gauge) cable, or will RCAs alone needed?

I am not sure which converter you are using but most high level to low level requires you send a high level signal (fatory head unit speaker outputs) to the converter then it converts the high level to a low level for you use rcas. The 9 wire can be useful if your converter accepts 4 channels of high level input

How can I use my old AIWA surround sound speakers in back of my SUV with my new head unit? Or can't do it? Main (bottom) spkr = 6ohms, top 3 =16ohms.

We don't recommend installing home speakers into a vehicle as its often impossible to make sure the speakers are being properly powered by the vehicle radio/amp

Why do you sell '9 wire' speaker cable when the speakers have only 2 ie +/- connections?

The reason there is 9 wires is to give you 2 wires for each of the 4 door speakers and one for power this way you only have the one cable to run from the head unit to the amp instead of running each individual one.

This cable is used to add aftermarket amps or line converters to factory car radio systems.Most newer cars have at least 4 speakers,this makes already 8.It also makes for an easy and clean installation of aftermarket audio equipment

9 wire allows you to have your amp power your speakers instead of the head unit. The 9 wire is the amp turn on/ remote wire
