Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Scosche BoomBUOY offers built-in Bluetooth 3.0 with support for wireless music streaming (A2DP) and control (AVRCP). You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth source device like your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer to the BoomBUOY speaker. The speaker has a wireless Bluetooth range of approximately 33'.
- Playback Controls: You'll also be able to control basic playback functions such as Volume Up/Down, Play/Pause, and Previous/Next Track. Advanced playback functions and song/artist info are still done from your Bluetooth source device.
- SSP & NFC Pairing: The BoomBUOY pairs wirelessly and effortlessly with Bluetooth source devices with a single press of a button thanks to SSP (Simple Secure Pairing); there is no PIN to enter. The speaker also offers NFC (Near Field Communication) pairing for select Android OS 4.1 or later devices, so you can simply tap the speaker and device together to pair. You can only pair and connect one device at a time.
Note: The Scosche BoomBUOY does not support Bluetooth hands-free phone communication.
Water & Dust Proof (IP67-Rating): This floating waterproof Bluetooth speaker is remarkably sturdy and durable; even in the harshest environments. It has an IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating so you can drop it, get it dirty, and then dunk it in water to wash it off. Perfect for the beach, the pool, the lake and more.
