EFX Mini-ANL Fused Distribution Block

This thing's great. I didn't realize how stout it would be. I'm running a DSP, so I use this to get power to use. The 4 gauge comes in from the battery, and I use this to split it, running another 4 gauge to my amp and 16 gauge wire to the DSP. Even though the product description says this was designed for 4 or 8 gauge outputs, the set screws screw all the way down and connect the 16 just fine. I also use wire ferrules heat shrinked onto the ends of my power wires to keep things as safe as possible by preventing frayed or loose strands of wire.

Does what it needs to

Feels like a quality piece, nice weight. It has inserts in the different connectors that allow it to accept 2 different wire sizes. The input will accept 4 or 0 AWG and the output will accept 8 or 4 AWG. It's a nice looking piece, shame I have to hide it on my install.

Works great! Conventional easy to install, thanks Crutchfield, another great product.

Pros: Not very flashy but has a glossy paint and great interior clarity, the fuses look mint from the outside and the screws used are of good hardened metal.

Cons: The mounting screws can be a little tricky to install, but nothing to complain about.

Features

Overview: The MESA FDBUDM is a dual Mini-ANL fused power distribution block, designed for use with car audio systems. It has a 1-in/2-out design, and can be configured for power (fused) or ground (non-fused) distribution. The unit includes a translucent polycarbonate protective cover with a reversible MESA logo plate.

Input: The distribution block has a single 0/4 input with a removable wire gauge reducer. With the reducer removed, the input will accept up to 1/0 gauge wire. With the reducer inserted, the input will accept up to 4 gauge wire. A 3mm Allen wrench (included) is required to tighten/loosen the set screws.

Outputs: The distribution block has dual 4/8 outputs with a removable reducer. With the reducer removed, the output will accept up to 4 gauge wire. With the reducer inserted, the output will accept up to 8 gauge wire. The included 3mm Allen wrench is needed for the set screws.

Fuse Holder: One or two Mini-ANL fuses (sold separately) can be installed between the input and outputs. If used for ground distribution where no fuses are needed, the included jumper can be put into place to carry the signal between the contacts.

Installation: The distribution block can be installed using the 2 self-tapping screws. Slots are provided on the base plate for attaching the unit using plastic wire ties, if desired.
