Keep your wiring system safe and secure

EFX's Quad Mini-ANL Fused Distribution Block can handle the high-power distribution for your multi-amp sound system, ensuring that your amp wiring's connected securely, neatly, and safely. The input accepts a 1/0-gauge, or a 4-gauge wire using the supplied insert. The four outputs can take either 4- or 8-gauge wiring. A second 1/0-gauge input lets you daisy chain another distribution block or amplifier into your system.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The MESA FDBUQM is a quad Mini-ANL fused power distribution block, designed for use with car audio systems. It has a 2-in/4-out design, and can be configured for power (fused) or ground (non-fused) distribution. The unit includes a translucent polycarbonate protective cover with a reversible MESA logo plate.

Inputs: The distribution block has dual 0/4 inputs, each with a removable wire gauge reducer. With the reducer removed, the input will accept up to 1/0 gauge wire. With the reducer inserted, the input will accept up to 4 gauge wire. A 3mm Allen wrench (included) is required to tighten/loosen the set screws.

Outputs: The distribution block has four 4/8 outputs, each with a removable reducer. With the reducer removed, the output will accept up to 4 gauge wire. With the reducer inserted, the output will accept up to 8 gauge wire. The included 3mm Allen wrench is needed for the set screws.

Fuse Holder: One to four Mini-ANL fuses (sold separately) can be installed between the inputs and outputs. If used for ground distribution where no fuses are needed, the included jumper can be put into place to carry the signal between the contacts.

Installation: The distribution block can be installed using the 2 included self-tapping screws. Slots are provided on the base plate for attaching the unit using plastic wire ties, if desired.

Customer Q&A

Q
Do I need fused power distribution block if my amplifiers don't have onboard fuses?

A
If you don't have a fuse from your battery to amp then you definitely need one at the distribution. Otherwise, it's just one more layer of protection.

It's definitely a good idea. Not absolutely nessesary, but if you're gonna do the job right, a fuse/breaker somewhere in the power line is the right way to do it Simple answer: yes
