About the Scosche tuneIT

Bring digital audio to your analog car

Just because you're stuck with your car's stock receiver doesn't mean you're stuck listening to terrestrial radio, CDs, or (Hey, it could happen...) cassettes. The Scosche tuneIT lets you enjoy all the music stored on your iPhone, smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device.

All you need to do is plug the tuneIT into a 12-volt outlet or cigarette lighter in your car, then connect your device's headphone output to the minijack input on the tuneIT. The tuneIT will scan your radio to find the clearest FM frequency, and you'll be rockin' in no time. The USB port will even charge your device while you drive.

The tuneIT's flex-neck design makes it easy to position the tuneIT's oversized display in just the right spot, so you can move it from vehicle to vehicle.

Had no problem finding a good bandwidth to transmit - large range of frequencies is nice. Like it! Quality is pretty good. There's only minimal background static noise that is audible only at high volume.

Pros: Good range of possible frequencies. White lettered display goes with any other interior lighting colors. Phone charging port is handy. Programmable stations/presets is a good feature.

Cons: Display cannot be dimmed, so it's too bright at nighttime.

Q
Would this work with a Roland Edirol R-09 digital recorder/player?
[ Sharon  Oct 20, 2016 ]
1 answer
A
Since the Edirol seems to have a mini Aux output, it should work just fine. The tuneIt has a auxiliary input line. I play a Sansa Fuze MP3 player on mine to listen through my car stereo.
