A rugged cable

I needed to replace an aux cable in my car that had frayed around the connector and started making that ugly crackling noise. I chose this one because it looks more sturdy. Seeing it in person, I think I made the right choice. The outer casing is thicker and the way it is attached to the connectors on each end feels much more rugged.

Your agent recommended these cables to go with the M-40 X headphones however they cannot be used due to the fact that the headphones require a special cable made by Audio-Technica that has a special locking system into the headphones. The other cables that came with the headphones are much too long to use at the gym. I am trying to contact Audio-Technica and see if I can get a shorter version from them. This product was a complete waste to purchase.

The Scosche I335 Mini Stereo Cable is a solid cable. The sound output is above average for the price. The nice, thick cable seems to prevent tangling. The connectors at the ends are metal, and feel very durable. Even when wiggling the ends around, there is no "scratching" or loss of sound. BUT, there is a downside to the connector durability. If you are using an iPhone or similar product, and have a case that is made to fit the apple earbuds miniplug connector (which is incredibly small), you will have to remove the device from the case to ensure a solid connection. The connector is larger than the apple connector, so every time I want to use the cable I must remove the case from my iPhone 6 plus. You should check your case to ensure the cable will fit. Otherwise, this is a solid cable that I would recommend.

Good build quality. Small diameter end housing allows easy connection to i pad that is in a case that otherwise would not accept standard mini jack because of wider diameter plastic housing. Flexible cable, and plated ends, make a nice cable accessory.

Cable works, but seems cheap

The cable was a perfect length to keep right at the dash. It seems a bit thin and the end covers kept falling off every time I pulled on them. Nothing really special about them. Probably should have popped for a slightly more expensive cable.

Only played out of right channel, Crutchfield was quick to send a repl

First one I received would only play out of right channel. Called Crutchfield and they were quick to ship me a replacement. Cut old one in half and checked continuity. Sure enough one end had the left channel wire broke. Replacement cable works great!

the metal covers over the male jacks at either end become loose. also, if you do not treat the cable like a museum piece, the connections will come loose on either plug and you will be forced to keep adjusting it to the right position to play... not well designed from a functional standpoint

Disappointed. I bought my daughter this cord for Christmas to use in her car. She put it in her car and, before she had a chance to try it, she threw the packaging away. Well, it never worked. I told her to put it on my desk and I would try it out with other speakers/mp3 player. We moved shortly thereafter and I just unpacked it. It definitely does not work. One end of it has a short up under the connector. If I hold the plug and push the cord more solidly in it, it works. Otherwise, a bunch of scratchiness. Since it's been so long since I bought it and have no packaging or receipt, I contacted Scosche through their website. I'll update the information if they have anywhere near good customer service and offer to replace it for me.

not the best purchase i had ever made

I figured it would be easier with my ipod to purchase these 3.5mm cables for my new Clarion receiver but ended up the usb for my ipod was actually more convenient once I figured out that the clarion was ipod compatible...these cables look great and even come with one L shaped adaptor but two adaptors would be better...I wish crutchfield or scosche would send me another one...having just hooked up to the ipod and the other straight end into the receiver--distorts the sound a little b/c the wire is hanging/bending at the receiver end...if that makes any since...just to tell you the usb that comes with your ipod works better than this cable...i will continue to use the usb and i might try and find another L shaped adaptor on the internet but I don't know I really want to waste anymore money...
