I trust Crutchfield and called to ask for advice purchasing a wireless charging mount for my new i-phone in my car. Beautifully crafted product, and high end packaging, top price category product, arrived quickly. Installation/operation manual is weak by comparison, esp if you have problems (troubleshooting). Day one this mount worked perfectly, and day 2 it dropped my phone 3 times! The led perimeter light glows red now when I attempt to dock the phone; there's barely any magnetic force when I hover the phone just prior to contact with the base/mount; it was 3x stronger on day 1. there is a "chart" in the manual describing 4 observable colors from the base led illumination, but you can't actually see the base illum. color when the phone is ON the base....so if it was blue, then turns to red - and subsequently opens it's arms and drops your phone - the "red" warning didn't do me any good. I suspect that the magnet under the rubber pad has fallen out of position? Even if it had not failed at "holding" my phone, I am a little disappointed that it's max charging out put is 10-watts. Other brands offer 15-watt and my phone is rated to receive 20-watts fast charging. To release the phone it says to "tilt", not impressive. I can't reach "tech" (after 2p , Saturday). I'll update this review if their customer service offers a satisfactory remedy or superior replacement product. Pretty bummed, phone is 3 weeks old, dropped 3 times by the car's new holder.
