Perfect fit!
Crutchfield customer from Clementon, NJ on 10/18/2020
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer
It's a perfect fit. The only issue I have with it is that the DDIN opening is set too far out for my low profile unit. I managed to make it work though, so all is well :)
Pros: Perfect fit to replace stock kit, blocks excess light from shining on the screen, and A/C ducts snap right on with no problem.
Cons: The finish is different from that of my existing dash, so it's a little shinier. It's mainly made for regular sized DDINs instead of some newer low profile units like mine (Kenwood DMX7706S, for reference). And I miss my Rockford Fosgate badging with the silver trim ;)

2008 lancer GTS dash kit
Crutchfield customer from Indianapolis, IN on 6/30/2020

This is not a great fit for the jvc head unit I purchased. It sticks out pretty far so and the head unit mounts didn't give me enough room to bring it forward enough. It's also kind of bland compared to the factory dash kit for the Rockford Fosgate and GPS unit.

Scosche MI3019B Dash Kit
Crutchfield customer from Sumas, WA on 7/15/2018
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer
The product came without screws for the pocket that fits below a single din. Used some home screws and they went through the front. My single din Alpine CDE-SXM145BT doesn't fit through the trim piece and sits way back in the dash kit not allowing me to put trim piece on the H/U. I AM looking for another trim piece for the Lancet.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: No screws and h/U didn't fit through

I'm not sure why but this thing would not fit the radio I bought even though it's the one Crutchfield told me to buy. I had to cut it all up to get the radio to mount in this thing it was a major pain in the neck.
Pros: Cheap

It fits
Derrick from Tulsa on 6/10/2016
2015 Mitsubishi Lancer
It fits, but not the best I've ever seen. I actually bought from Crutchfield so I could get better than the same Scosche that I could have bought from anywhere. Not a single page of instructions to be found. I'm used to older installs where the radio attaches to the face kit by sliding the cage in and bending out the tabs to hold it, and my Alpine head unit essentially said to do this in its installation instructions. Imagine my dismay when the radio/cage wouldn't fit through the stupid thing. After a little sitting and looking at it mechanically I took the brackets off the oem unit and tried them on the Alpine. It needs instructions, someone that hasn't done a lot of radios may not figure this out. After install it left a little gap around the radio but I was able to modify it a bit to take care of this. Also, the A/C vents do not snap into this very well at all.
Pros: None really.
Cons: A/C vents don't snap in good. No instructions at all. Needed modified to now show gap around my head unit.

Not happy with the kit. It looks ok but I have a gap between the kit and my unit. If I don't look at the edges I don't really notice. There needs to be some sort of screws that are adjustable.
Pros: Looks good, looks solid.
Cons: No adjustable screws to fix the gap in between the unit.

Dash kit need some re-work
moonborg from Puerto Rico on 11/15/2015
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer
First, the top border of the kit protrudes a little. There is also a gap in the top border. Second the opening is just right for some radios, but not all. Some radios need a wider opening, like mine to work right. In my case I had to rip the little bottom panel of the radio to use some features. Third, Crutchfield may have to think about making brackets for this car, A Mitsubishi Lancer, without Rockford Fosgate Radio. The brackets doesn't match the new opening without some tweaking. The installer make a work around solution, but it took him an hour of work.
Pros: Good Material, but they have to address the top border issue.
Cons: Maybe Scosche or Crutchfield must include new brackets. The factory brackets doesn't match the new opening.

Does what it is designed to do.
C Smith from Pennsylvania on 6/25/2015
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer
Does exactly what it is designed to do. Fit great in the dash, easy to install. Only downside is that there were no instructions in the box, but it was pretty self explanatory. Little difficult to pull the air conditioner vents out of the old unit, but it wasnt that bad. Also, there is a ribbon cable that connects your emergency flashers and seat belt indicators to the original faceplate of the factory head unit. This ribbon cable had me confused, but it turns out you can just disconnect it and leave it there, the harness in the back is where it gets its power, the ribbon cable simply connects it to your factory display.
Pros: Fits correctly, not too difficult to install
Cons: No instructions, but easy to find instructions online if you get stuck.

This piece is great. Got it in the mail and was super excited to pop it in my lancer. Installation was a breeze although I did sand the edges a bit to fit my power akoustik double din HU. Otherwise looks really nice. Fast 2 day shipping from Crutchfield great service as always.
Pros: Looks good, comes with the clips to install it, solid piece.
Cons: Sticks up on some edges not entirely flushave with the rest of the dash, and some minor sanding to fit.

Not such a good fit
Robert from Medina, WA on 12/17/2014
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer
Perhaps it's the cheep clips, or just poor build quality, but this will not stay clipped in. Transferring the vents was a real pain as well. While it was difficult to remove them from the original molding, this one won't clip on and hold them in place. The top portion also sags down and looks very unprofessional. I replaced this with a different product that looks a million times better.
Pros: works, at a bare minimum
Cons: doesn't fit properly, looks bad

Dee from LA, CA on 6/11/2014

Nice looking radio dash trim. The fit is okay, the top trim is not perfect, but no huge gaps overall. Looks OEM-ish enough for me. Looks nice with my double DIN head unit. The color is a shade darker then the rest of my dash which made it stand out a little. You have to adjust & play with the head unit's bracket for tilt to minimize the gap around the trim.
Pros: Fitment, quality.
Cons: A shade darker than my dash.

I wish it were a little better made. I put this in my 2014 Lancer Gt, and for the most part it fits in just as good as the factory piece. There is a small gap at the top and the finish isn't quite the same but it's close enough that no one else would notice.
Pros: Put a nice 2Din radio in my dash. Works in the 2014 models.
Cons: Looks a bit cheap to me.

Sadly I was unimpressed with this product. The clips lined up with the stock ones no problem, however the color nor the texture match my dash. Also the screws to hold the tray (I installed a single din) were not anywhere to be found. The top did not line up well with my dash, there is a noticeable edge. 2010 Lancer
Pros: It fit. It was free.
Cons: Does not match dash.

Fit great
M from Vincennes, IN on 7/17/2013
2011 Mitsubishi Lancer
Everything fit well, couple minor issues like the snaps that lock it in place. It had one half broken off snap lock when I received it. However it had several that lock it into place and the broken one didn't really seem to matter on fit and function. You have to remove your heater vents from your stock unit and install them into this one. I would rather have been able to keep my Stock unit complete and this have its own vents, but not a big deal.
Pros: It fits and does its job, supplied for free with my stereo purchased from Crutchfield
Cons: Had a half broken locking stab when received. The locking tabs are pretty flimsy and do easily break but once its all snapped in it is fine and solid. The top right corner doesn't completely fit the contour of my dash but I work in plastics for a living. If you just strike that corner (before you put it in) with a propane torch it will take care of it no issues. Also mine wasn't deflashed very well so before I installed it I used a hobby knife and removed the little bit of excess flash.

Product has a nice fit and looks original. We had some small issues with the way that the aftermarket stereo fit in the opening but did not have to modify the plastic in any way to make it work. We had to remove the plastic trim ring from the stereo and make a neoprene seal to fit in its place to make it look finished and close up the gaps. I think that they could do a better job with the cubby that fits underneath. The mold relifef marks and square holes in the back can be seen easily. (noticable in the pictures even on this website) A little more attention to cleaning up that part and it would be awesome.

EvoXguy from MD on 7/3/2010
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer
I got this kit for free along with the Alpine CDE-102. At first I wasn't too pleased with the fit but as it turns out it was user error. The trim ring on the receiver actually needs to be removed, otherwise it will not sit flush in the dash at the top part of the kit. With that corrected, the kit now fits great and looks pretty much as if it were oem and I'm very pleased. If I had to nitpick, the top left corner has a little excess plastic from the molding. It can easily be removed though and isn't really a big deal.
