Customer Q&A

1 question already asked

Q
It sounds like the plastic side brackets that come with this kit are not needed. True? Are there stock metal brackets already in place to mount an aftermarket double din head unit? Would I really just be needing the front panel assemby from this kit?

That's correct. In fact, I didn't use anything from this kit at all. My front panel wasn't needed because my factory one did the trick.

I just pitched the plastic mounting brackets because they were identical to the stock metal mounting brackets that are already in my 2014 370Z. Hell I'm not even sure the plastic thermo control and radio cover is any different than the factor one.

I did not use the kit at all on my double din install. I used the the stock metal brackets and front panel.
