The PA4BX wiring kit from EFX will supply your car amplifier with the wiring necessary for receiving its signal and powering up. The ground cable features EFX's Ultimate Ground Terminal, which attaches to your vehicle's chassis by way of 3 self-tapping screws (included) to make sure you get a tight physical and electrically secure ground connection.

This wiring kit works with amplifiers with between about 450 to 1100 watts RMS of total output power. Please check your amplifier's installation instructions to confirm the proper size wire to use. The kit includes a stereo RCA patch cable, remote turn-on lead, in-line fuseholder, fuse, and an assortment of connectors and hardware to help with your amp's installation.

This wiring kit does not include speaker wires. You will need to purchase those separately, in order to complete your amplifier installation. This kit includes patch cables for a 2-channel or mono amp — you'll need to add cables for multi-channel amps.

Features

Compatibility: The PA4BX kit is designed for amplifiers with fuse ratings up to 100 amps.

Kit Contents: This amp wiring kit includes the following:

  • Power/Ground/Remote wire: The power/ground wires use OFC (oxygen-free copper) for high-current delivery. The wires use fine strands of copper and soft-touch insulation for maximum flexibility.
    • 17' length 4 AWG blue power wire with in-line Mini-ANL fuse holder (no fuse installed) and a ring terminal (0.314" inside diameter, 0.66" outside diameter)
    • 2' length 4 AWG black ground wire with patent-pending Ultimate Ground Terminal for reliable ground connections.
    • 17' length of 18 AWG blue turn-on lead
  • Fuse: One 100A Mini-ANL fuse
  • RCA Patch Cable: 17' Core-twisted stereo RCA interconnect cable with split-top center pin and segmented shield for maximum contact and connection reliability. Twisted pair construction gives you maximum noise rejection and better sound quality. The RCA plugs have a micro barrel design and integrated strain relief.
  • Connectors: The kit includes the following crimp-on terminals:
    • Two 8-gauge crimp-on spade connectors (with 1 red and 1 black rubber insulator boot)
    • One 18-gauge crimp-on spade connector with red plastic boot (for remote turn-on lead)
    • One 18-gauge crimp-on butt connector (for remote turn-on lead)
  • Mounting Accessories:
    • 6' length of 3/8" diameter split loom to protect cables
    • 2 Phillips-head self-tapping screws (for securing the fuse holder)
    • 3 Phillips-head self-tapping screws (for securing the Ultimate Ground Terminal)
    • Plastic firewall grommet (0.406" inside diameter, 0.5" outside diameter)
    • Six 8" plastic wire ties

Customer Q&A

Q
Does this kit come with everything needed to install speakers as well? Speaker wire?
[ Daniel  Jul 03, 2020 ]

A
I used this kit to hook up one Subwoofer and amp in my truck and it had everything I needed including the speaker wire. If you are doing multiple speakers I'd think you need more RCA cables but ask Crutchfield they are always very helpful for me and know more than me.
[ Gunner  Jul 06, 2020 ]
A
This is a great kit and worked flawlessly for me now for at least a year, never had any problems with the fuse or anything. I can't remember if it comes with speaker wire but typically when you buy the speakers if you are then they will have wire with them. If not you can easily buy some somewhere, Crutchfield sells it as well.

Q
Do I need this kit if I'm purchasing a self-powered subwoofer?
[ George  Aug 14, 2016 ]

A
That looks to be an install kit for the sub. Unless you already have all the necessary wires to connect the sub to power/ground and the rca cables to the deck then this looks to be a good kit.
[ Scott  Aug 16, 2016 ]
A
You do not need it but you will need a power supply line with fuse, an equal sized ( meaning wire thickness)negative wire, a set of RCA converter to wires since this does not have rca inputs. Kicker sells that
[ JOHN  Aug 16, 2016 ]
A
Whether it is self-powered or a separate amp, you still need to get suitable power and signal to it. If your self-powered amp comes with a power line, fuse, and signal wires then no. But I would think you would need it!
[ ROBERT  Aug 16, 2016 ]
Q
What is the outside diameter of this 4 gauge wire? Coating and all. Whole diameter.
[ Frank  Feb 26, 2016 ]

A
We do not have the specific diameter of the cable with jacket specification you've requested. It's also not provided in the manual. If you must have this dimension ahead of time, you can try contacting Scosche directly: 800-363-4490 I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5

A
I believe so but cannot be sure. I would call into Crutchfield and have them chase
[ TRACY  Jul 01, 2015 ]
A
Yes, I am using two of these wiring kits, one for my JL JX500/1D amp that powers my JL TW1 10" sub and one for my JX360/2 amp that powers my JL C2650. I've had them installed for over a year now and I am very happy with this product, it comes with everything you need for the install. I switched out the fuses to T-SPEC V8 Mini-ANL Fuses because the kit comes with 100A fuse and I wanted to go with something closer to what the amp was rated for.
[ Thomas  Jul 01, 2015 ]
A
yes and I have installed two of these wiring kits in my car one for the amp that powers my sub and one for the amp that powers my speakers. I've had them installed for over a year now and had no issues. very happy with the performance of this prodict.
[ Thomas  Jul 01, 2015 ]
A
Yes it does.

Q
Is this Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) or Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) wiring?
[ Leandro  Mar 01, 2015 ]

A
I am not sure. I bought this product in August of last year. It is a great product and have had no issues with it. I am running an Infinity 4 channel amp on it for my 4 Infinity door speakers. I love buying from Crutchfield because they offer good customer support. I would contact tech support through chat or phone. They can easily answer thus question. I am sorry I could not be more helpful
[ Matthew  Mar 02, 2015 ]
A
The power and ground cable is copper. Not sure about the rca cables.
[ HENRY  Mar 02, 2015 ]
A
Gosh I have no clue. But it has functioned fine
[ Jcombs111  Mar 02, 2015 ]

I do not have an answer to what type of copper this is but I do know that this wiring kit is amazing. Extremely easy to wire and very reliable. I ran into zero issues with this product. I am sorry I could not answer your original question. I do believe it is oxygen free.
