These worked great for the front doors of my '09 Ridgeline. The rear doors...not so much. The surface area around the speaker cutout is not as flat as on the front doors. I had to trim the upper right screw hole tab nearly off and the one at the bottom came to rest on a angled/rounded surface. A center punch made it possible to get a drill bit or self tapping screw started. Not really a complaint....just a heads up. I will never buy car stereo gear anywhere else. Crutchfield makes the work easier with the provided car documentation, wire harness adapters and speaker mounting brackets.

nothing. Work, but they're flimsy and it is pretty easy to over-nighter your screws and strip the holes. I recommend using very corse screws to install your speaker to the adapter.
Pros: I was able to install my door speakers easily and quickly.
Cons: I feel that the build quality could be significantly more robust, and I would be happy to pay more for it to be as well.

Added installation steps
Crutchfield customer from Roanoke, VA on 4/8/2019
2006 Acura RSX
Depending on the size of speakers you're installing, these brackets can be kind of a pain. There are tabs that face inwards which need to be snapped off if the speaker doesn't sit flush. They do no always break off clean, so the inner diameter of the speaker mount might have jagged edges. I filed the edges smooth which added to the installation time. Not a huge deal, but something to be aware of.
Pros: Product as described
Cons: Fitment may require modification

The Scosche SAHR6 Speaker Mounting Brackets claim to fit 6 3/4" speakers, however, at least with my Rockford Fosgate R1675-S', there is no way to get a screw into the bracket as the speaker holes are spaced too far out for the bracket.
Pros: Fits speakers fine and will work for my vehicle
Cons: Cannot mount 6 3/4" speakers without modifying bracket (not possible) or making holes on speaker themselves bigger.

Critical for fit in my installation of Rockford R165x3 speakers. Had to remove inside tabs, easily done with vise grips since they are pre-scribed for a break off. Used #6x3/4 inch sheet metal screws to secure speaker to mount and #8 x 5/8 inch self tapping screw to secure to door. Perfect fit resulting in top quality install. Glad Crutchfield recommended, would not have been able to do the job without them!

These are not only needed but required to change out the factory speakers in my vehicle. On the front doors, they fit perfectly, but on the back doors, one of the screw holes hit in the middle of a metal bend. They could have been designed a little different and fit perfectly.
Pros: Price. Installation ease.
Cons: Not quite a perfect fit, but close.

Good fit, but not perfect
Karl from Groton, MA on 9/4/2016
2014 Honda Ridgeline
I'll give it 4 stars, but note that the ears on the bracket don't exactly land well with the count our of the door. I remedied by using 3 self tapping screws and was able to make it work, but still not an ideal fit, but good enough. Also note, (the master sheet I had didn't say this) you may have to remove the plastic inner ears if your speakers are on the bigger side. Do this by using a pair of pliers and simply bending them until they break. Also, the U-channel mounting holes did not work with the stock speaker screws. You will need to supply your own. I used the same self taping screws and made a very snug fit. If the screws don't fit well, GO GET THE RIGHT SIZE. Otherwise, the speakers will bounce their way out of the bracket and will make awful noise later.
Pros: works great with the recommended speakers from Crutchfield
Cons: Not a perfect fit for rear doors on a 2014 ridge line. Lack of instructions and took me a few mins to realize the inner mounting ears must be removed.

Devo from WI on 10/23/2014
2012 Honda Ridgeline
No instructions with these were provided. Instructions for Audio replacement for my 2012 Ridgeline were included with my HU and speaker order. However these instructions referred me to the bracket instructions, none included. I figured out the screws and channels were with the speakers and figured out how to put them on the brackets appropriately, I am no audio expert. Anyway, the best way to secure speaker to bracket is by hand, carefully. As for installing the bracket/speakers into the Ridgeline, a piece of cake with some self tapping screws. Contours in the door panel were a very slight issue on 1 out of 3 screws. But it holds tight. I would recommend this for your Ridgeline, but if you can fabricate your own you might be happier.
Pros: Easy to install into door panels, no need to drill holes if you use self tapping metal screws.
Cons: No instructions and plastic is of flimsy quality.

Cheap and flimsy. If you need to drill holes better mount the speaker to the bracket first, it warps under pressure. Ont tab that helps hold in place broke off. Really could be much better. Such a simple product, so many design flaws.
Pros: It worked
Cons: Cheap and flimsy Plastic and design

Tony from Denver, CO on 5/28/2014
These worked great on the back doors of my 2005 CR-V. The front doors had a little bit of a contour in the sheet metal and so I ended up using the Metra brackets up front because I could flex them a bit more for a nicer fit, but these would work there too. Just make sure you have some metal screws for the install.
Pros: Factory drop in shape, Quick install
Cons: Don't fit all doors perfectly, but they flex to fit.

Coolbob from Oxford, MS on 5/18/2012

These mounting adapters are just barely up to the task. They require drilling to mount the adapters to the vehicle, but no screws are included. The holes the speakers mount to are just barely strong enough to put a screw into. Be very careful and almost tighten the screws or you will strip the holes. I would gladly pay extra for a better made adapter.
Pros: free
Cons: cheaply made, surprised Crutchfield has not sourced or made a better adapter

Honda Ridgeline Speaker Adapter
GTZ640 from ANDERSON, SC on 2/11/2012
I ordered these speaker adapters for all speaker locations in my 2012 Honda Ridgeline. These only work for the front doors, and they do not fit nor replace the OEM brackets; the OEM snap into place. The adapter rings need to be screwed in and some type of sealant or foam put in place to seal the rings. I installed 5 1/4" component speakers and had to customize a speaker plate to hold the speaker, then secure it on to the ring. I used door panel deadning material to seal the seams throughout. My suggestion on the rear is used the OEM ring and cut out the cone ( I replaced the OEM speaker with a 4 1/2" two way speaker creating a mounting plate); it works great.
Pros: You have something to start with. Had I known the rings accommodate a 6" or better speaker I would have bought one.
Cons: Does not snap in place like OEM - hate to drill into my car door! Does not fit rear fitment door. The fastening loops are in the wrong place.
