Features

StrikeDrive Converter: The Scosche StrikeDrive Converter (USBCAI) is a 12V-USB car charger for your iPhone 7 and 7+, which also provides an auxiliary output for your Apple device which doesn't offer a headphone jack. The StrikeDrive Converter (USBCAI) plugs into your vehicle's 12-volt auxiliary port or cigarette lighter port, while your iPhone 7/7+ plugs into the StrikeDrive Converter via a Lightning-to-USB cable (not included). The included stereo minijack cable plugs into the Scosche StrikeDrive Converter's 3.5mm Aux output and into your car stereo's Aux input via the included 3' stereo minijack cable.

10W/2.1A USB Charger: The USB port charges your Apple device with a 10W, 2.1 Amp charge, ensuring the fastest, safest charge possible. The iPhone 7/7+ can safely receive a charge of up to 10 watts, making the StrikeDrive Converter the ideal charger. Optimized charging circuitry will not cause any harm to less powerful devices.

3.5mm Aux Output: The Scosche StrikeDrive Converter (USBCAI) converts the audio from your iPhone 7/7+'s Lightning-to-USB connection and passes it through the charger's 3.5mm Aux output and the included 3' stereo minijack cable to your car stereo's Aux input, so you can listen to your favorite tunes in the vehicle.

Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
Who wouldn't want this! One cable to this, and it does the headache for you! [ Christian  Mar 07, 2019 ]

Q
Sorry this is probably a stupid question but I just got a different car. In my old one it had a spot to plug in an aux cord and I could play music through my phone/I pod. The new car has a cigarette lighter I can plug this in but no spot for an aux cord. Can I plug an aux cord into this device and be able to play music through an iPod/phone or no?

Here's my setup. USB from iPhone into that slot. And output to red/white/yellow rca receivers via a 3.5 to aux. If you have the connections it'll work.

Yes you plug the usb for charging and use the aux cord to play music. My car, I didn't know, let me charge and play music via usb so I didn't need the sux cord. Either way, it is working.

So this device has an aux plug in and a charger like the apple adapters they sell so you would plug the aux into your car then into this device and then have the charging cord go to your phone and that would play music, long story short you will need and aux input in your car for this to work, I would recommend an aftermarket radio that has Bluetooth streaming for like $100 and have the harness and everything done by crutchfield and then you just have to plug and play

Sorry, no. This adapter does not provide FM modulation or transmission. You'll find our selection of FM transmitters on our website here: https://www.crutchfield.com/g_771/FM-Transmitters.html?tp=121

A
I do not think you can use this product for your car because your stereo system does not have an aux input.
