Overview: The Sennheiser HD 650 over-ear headphones offer exceptionally natural, spatial, and accurate sound, suitable for all types of music. The headphones provide balanced, contoured bass with real deep bass reproduction. They allow authentic voice reproduction and natural treble. The HD 650s come with a 3-meter detachable straight cable with a straight 1/4" plug, and a 1/4"-to-3mm adapter cable.

Design: The HD 650 headphones features a circum-aural (over-ear) design. The earcups have an elliptical shape that mimics the natural shape of the ears. The velour ear pads and adjustable padded headband make the headphones exceptionally comfortable for marathon listening sessions. The headphones have a high-quality titanium silver finish. The headphones have a modular design that allows you to replace certain parts when they become worn or damaged. The earcup and headband pads can be easily removed and replaced when needed. The detachable cable can be replaced if it gets damaged, or exchanged for an optional balanced cable, available from Sennheiser.

Open Sound: The HD 650s have an open-back design with a high-quality acoustic metal mesh over the the earcups. This design provides significant damping for a smooth response, and an open and transparent sound.

Hand-Selected Drivers: The Sennheiser HD 650s are equipped with 42mm drivers with a 38mm diaphragm and aluminum voice coils that are tuned for long listening sessions. These hand-selected, matched headphone drivers with very tight tolerances (± 1 dB) for consistent performance.

Cable: The headphones come with a detachable 3-meter (9.8') straight cable that is made from highly conductive OFC copper, and reinforced with a para-aramid fiber to give it high tensile strength. The cable is terminated with a gold-plated 1/4" (6.3mm) connector for connection to your stationary hi-fi components. Also included is a short cable that adapts the 1/4" plug to a 3.5mm plug that fits laptops and many portable audio devices.
