Good quality sound for price. Headset is top heavy and will try to slide off if you lower your head. The documentation and illustrations are a bit weak. Crutchfield support is excellent.

We ,a small congregation are enjoying this product in our chapel for some of our hearing impaired members .They are great and we are overjoyed to be able to hear from the pulpit, some of us for the first time. We contacted Crutchfield and explained our problem to Zac and he recommended these Headphones and transmitter and they work great. We love the headset we purchased. It was to replace the original headset we had for the wireless head phone my husband uses to watch television.. You see, he is hard of hearing and must have the sound on the TV up very high to hear anything. A friend whose husband had the same problem passed the set on to us after he passed away and it has been as life saving for me as it was for her. What is really neat is he can do other things (like the dishes) and not lose his place in his show because the headphones work in what ever room he is in. We really like it - it keeps peace in the family!!!

Overview: The HDR 120 can be used as an additional headset for the Sennheiser RS 135-9 wireless headphone system with an open air, on-ear design. They are also compatible with the RS 120 and RS 110 wireless headphone systems.

Batteries: Power for the headset is provided by two rechargeable "AAA" batteries (included) that fit into a compartment in the headset. The batteries are recharged whenever the headset is placed on the transmitter included with the RS 135-9 system. Fully charged batteries have an operating time of approximately 20 hours. The RS 135-9 system manual recommends an initial charging of 24 hours before the batteries are first used, after that the normal charging time is approximately 18 hours.

Note: Only rechargeable batteries should be used.

They are wonderful but they wear out after 10 years or so. Bought here 'cause they told me about how to check my receiver which was still very good, only needing the earphones. Thanks for your question. I'm sorry, no, there is no base included. On the main product page you can see what's in the box which is HDR-120 Wireless on-the-ear headset and 2 "AAA" Ni-MH rechargeable batteries (1.2V/600 mAh).
