Sennheiser Momentum in-ear headphones for iOS

Includes carrying case and Apple remote (pictured in Black & Red).

If you own a smartphone or portable music player, you should own a pair of in-ear headphones to take everywhere — you never know when you might need an injection of music. And no, I'm not talking about the earbuds that came with your device. I'm talking about something affordable but great-sounding, like the Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear headphones.

They offer sound that's lively, detailed, and nicely balanced. The stainless steel, precision-made acoustic "pipes" are properly angled to direct sound into your ear canal. Soft, flexible ear tips cover the pipes — choose from four pairs of tips to find the right fit to keep them securely in place and help keep external sound out. These stylish little 'phones are quite cool looking, too. They come with a hard-shell carrying case, for extra protection when they're not in your ears.

Take calls and control your iPhone®

Connect the Momentum In-Ear headphones to your Apple device, and you can take advantage of the three-button remote's full functionality. Play and pause music, skip forward and back, and adjust the volume. The built-in microphone also lets you take calls with your iPhone, easily controlled with the remote.

Mindbogling Sound at Ressonable Price!

RAFAEL from San Antonio, TX on 8/22/2017

Fantastic sound quality that replicates the sound of speakers in a room, particularly with 24 bit Tracks. Juicy bass is not artificial. Deep soundstage. Prepare to discover nuances while playing back old favorites. All at a great price!

Pros: Sound quality, bass, soundstage.

Cons: None worthy of mentioning.

Best in-ear headphones I've owned

Absolutely one of the best pairs of in-ear headphones that I have ever owned. They are crystal clear, have plenty of volume and they have good bass behind them, even played at full volume. I would absolutely recommend them.

Pros: Great bass, extremely clear, plenty of volume

Cons:

Great earbuds for little money.

Javier from Azusa , CA on 10/23/2016

I checked out quite a few reviews before buying these earbuds, and happy to say that I was not disappointed. So much so that I purchased two sets, one for home and the other to keep at my workplace. They are bassy, but that's precisely why I chose them. I'm a guitar and bass player and these buds are great for reviewing and learning new songs. The cost is quite affordable in my opinion. Great earbuds for what they cost.

Pros: Very good sound, comfortable and excellent build quality. Cost. Very good sound wen making phone calls. In line controls.

Cons: Cable handling noise for about a foot and a half from the earpieces.

These headphones are great for the money. They do weigh a bit more than some headphones, but they sound better. The in-line controls work great.

Pros: Sound quality and look

I can hear my steps and heart beat when walking. Too much background noise. Also, the ear buds keep on popping out.

Pros: Good sound

Cons: Background noise and ear buds don't fit

Sennheiser momentum in ear

MikeB from Nevada on 10/13/2015

For under $100, these headphones are very good.

Pros: Solid and sturdy overall with a good cable that doesn't tangle easily. Good lows and decent overall sound quality. Cord can be placed over ear for better fit. Comes with a nice case. Good headphones for this price category.

Cons: Mids are just okay and highs can be a little brash at times. Cord is a little longer than I prefer. Definitely needs better tips to improve comfort.

Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear

It appears as though too much attention was focused on the storage box, leading me to question the true value of the actual in-air headphones. The design of the storage box is too complex requiring much effort to get to the headphones or put them away. Typical users utilize headphones on the fly and can't be bothered with complicated cases.

Pros: Good sound

Cons: uncomfortable ear piece

Broke down but still recommended

Altimira from San Juan, PR on 5/31/2015

I'd like to think that Sennheiser headphones are normally reliable and I was unlucky in purchasing a lemon. It's volume feature stopped working in three days of moderate use. Otherwise, I would still give it another chance. The quality of sound is great. I often listen to classical music and these headphones provide so much richness of detail that I felt I was enjoying live performances (in one particular chamber piece I could even hear woodwind valves frantically clicking). I returned mine for a refund, but I may purchase them again (the Crutchfield crew make the process absolutely painless and hassle free).

Pros: Excellent sound, good looks, nice case.

Cons: Slightly less comfortable than other in-ear headphones I used.

I am very pleased with these headphones. Clean, perfect bass and clear mids and highs. Very good looking but a little bulky. Prolonged use does make my ears a little sore, but that may just be me.

Pros: High quality sound, cool design, tangle free cord is great.

Cons: get a little uncomfortable after prolonged use.

Features

Overview: The Sennheiser Momentum in-ear headphones are lightweight and comfortable, with durable metal construction. The custom-machined stainless steel acoustic pipe gives you high-performance audio reproduction with rich, detailed sound. The Momentum in-ear comes with a semi-hard zippered storage case. These headphones have an in-line remote/microphone that is compatible with Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch).

Design: The Momentum in-ear headphones are equipped with high-performance dynamic drivers, housed in an ergonomic ear bud that is angled at 15°. The impedance is lowered to 18 ohms so it will play portable devices at high volumes without overdriving the device's tiny amp.

Ear Adapters: The Momentum in-ear headphones come with four sizes of silicone ear sleeves (XS, S, M, L) to assure you'll find the perfect fit.

Remote/Microphone: The Momentum in-ear headphones are equipped with an elliptical 54" audio cable with right-angled 3.5mm plug and an in-line remote/microphone. The remote lets you control your Apple iPhone iPad, and iPod touch. The outer buttons control volume up and volume down. The center button controls music playback (play, pause, play next song, play previous song) and phone functions (accept call, end call, reject call, voice control). In addition, the remote has a built-in omni-directional microphone (frequency response 100-10,000 Hz).

One word answer, Sennheiser! Aside from a limited handful of other manufacturers, pro-audio rarely gets better than Sennheiser. Balanced sound stage and frequency response. Many "newbies" have lost their way thinking the amped-up bass is where it's at. They loose all the intricacies and delicate nuance of performance and mind you, I am not just talking classical and jazz, many of today's bands/modern music are equal to the task, engineered well and sound amazing on a balanced head set. It's the standard 3.5mm mini plug.

A
It is a 3.5 mm angled jack plug.
[ Ernest R  May 29, 2017 ]
A
It is the 3.5mm connector. If you have an iPhone 7, you'll need a lightning-to-3.5mm headphone adapter from Apple (usually $10).
[ Javier  May 29, 2017 ]
A
Hi Joe, Have always understood a "miniplug" to infer a 3.5mm male stereo plug; not a lightning connector. Good luck! Cheers!
