About the Garmin Force 57
Troll with it, baby
Troll with it, baby
If you're serious about fishing, you know the importance of a good trolling motor. The 57" Garmin Force™ 57 motor is powerful, efficient, and thoroughly stocked with the tech you need to catch all the fish you want. With this whisper-quiet trolling motor, you'll be able to counter winds and currents all day long without worrying about battery drain. With auto-pilot, an anchor lock, a wireless foot pedal, and a floating remote control, you'll be in complete control and ready to focus on your fishing.
Power, plus efficiency
The Force sport a remarkably efficient brushless motor that operates at either 36 volts or 24 volts, depending on what you need. Even at 24 volts, it has plenty of power, and when it's running at 36 volts, it's still remarkably quiet. It's the perfect package if you'd rather worry about what the fish are doing than what your motor's doing.
When it comes to controlling the Force 57, you have options. The wireless foot pedal is gives you the feel and responsiveness of a cable-connected pedal and it runs on AA batteries. You can also hardwire it if you like.
Your second option is the rugged, waterproof remote control, which lets you control the motor from anywhere on your boat. The transflective display is easy to read in bright sunlight, and you can use the programmable keys on the remote to control your chartplotter. If the remote goes into the water (Hey, it happens!), it's totally waterproof and it even floats.
Works with other Garmin gear
The Force 57 will work with your Garmin chartplotter via a wireless connection. Use the built-in autopilot, which offers an integrated heading sensor and GPS, anchor lock, heading hold, and even cruise control. You can create a route to your favorite waypoints, and check your settings on the unit, the chartplotter, or your remote.
The integrated transducer features CHIRP traditional and Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning sonars. If you want to add more accessories, the cable management system can handle the built-in transducer cables plus the full range of Panoptix™ and Panoptix LiveScope™ sonars.

More details on the Garmin Force 57
Overview: The Garmin Force 57 (010-02025-00) is an electric trolling motor with an integrated sonar transducer that can be connected to your chartplotter. It mounts to the bow of your vessel with a scissor-style mount. Not only will the transducer find the fish, but the powerful trolling motor will take you there. It is designed for use in freshwater, but can be used in saltwater or brackish water as well. The Force 57 includes a wireless foot pedal to control your speed and direction, as well as a wireless remote control with a 1-3/16" diameter display.
Integrated Transducer: The Force 57 has an integrated sonar transducer with CHIRP traditional and Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning to help you see more fish and underwater structure more clearly. The sonar transducer can connect wirelessly to your chartplotter, and provides navigation, autopilot, and anchor lock features. Full sonar support is available for the GPSMAP 8400/8600xsv and ECHOMAP Ultra models only. The 350-watt transducer provides depth and temperature data, and supports the following CHIRP sonar frequencies:
|Sonar Type||Frequencies||Maximum Depth|
|High-wide CHIRP||150-240 kHz||800'|
|ClearVü Ultra-High Definition||800 kHz||200'|
|SideVü Ultra-High Definition||1200 kHz|| |
125' to each side (250' total) at max depth of 30'
|SideVü||455 kHz||500' to each side (1000' total)|
Wireless Integration: The Force 57 lets you integrate with your Garmin chartplotter wirelessly for creating routes to your favorite fishing spots or other waypoints. It can also record your track as you fish to help you find your way back to the same spot next time. Once you have calibrated the compass in the trolling motor, the built-in Autopilot features can be used, including following the route, cruise control, anchor lock, and heading hold. When you connect the trolling motor to a chartplotter, the waypoints, routes, and tracks stored on the chartplotter are synchronized with the waypoints, routes, and tracks stored on the trolling motor. Up to 5000 waypoints, 100 routes, and 50 tracks can be saved on the two devices.
Trolling Motor: The Force 57 trolling motor has the power you need to get you to and from your favorite fishing spots. It operates on either 36 volts or 24 volts, and its high-efficiency brushless motor runs quietly with little interference to the sonar signals. The motor produces 100 pounds of max thrust using the high-efficiency propeller at 36V, or 80 pounds at 24V. The rugged motor has dual gas springs that make it easy to deploy, as well as retract and stow. On the trolling motor mount is a display panel with a power switch. The display indicates the motor speed level (bar graph), battery status, GPS signal status, motor status, propeller status, heading hold, and anchor lock.
Foot Pedal: The Force 57 comes with a wireless foot pedal for operating the trolling motor with your foot. It operates on wired 12-volts through the 6.6' power cable, or on two "AA" alkaline, lithium, or Ni-MH batteries (not included). It gives you instant control over your speed and direction, with the responsiveness of a cable-steered pedal. The foot pedal has momentary and continuous propeller controls, a speed wheel, and a steering pedal. There are also push buttons to turn on/off the heading hold and anchor lock features. A status indicator illuminates green, blue, or red to indicate the foot pedal's status. The foot pedal has a waterproof rating of IPX7, so it's resistant to the wet marine environment. Dimensions: 9" wide, 12" long, 4.5" high, 4 pounds weight.
Wireless Remote: Also included with the trolling motor is a Wireless Remote Control with a 1.2" diameter display. The display shows the operational status of the trolling motor, as well as the speed level of the propeller and the SOG (speed over ground). At the top of the display are icons showing the battery status, propeller status, and GPS signal strength. The remote operates on two "AA" batteries (not included) using 2.4 GHz wireless protocol. Battery life is approximately 43.2 weeks with typical use (backlight at low). The remote control floats, allowing you to retrieve it in case it goes overboard. Dimensions: 2" wide, 6" long, 1.25" high, 3.8 oz. weight.
