Product Research

Overview: The Garmin Portable Friction Mount (010-11280-00) is designed specifically for Garmin portable navigation devices as a portable alternative to windshield mounts. It has a non-skid silicone bottom and pliable base to keep the mount secure on your dashboard.

Ball Mount: The PFM has a hinged ball mount that fits the ball socket found on the cradle of your GPS navigation unit. Once mounted, you can tilt and swivel your GPS for best visibility.

Note: This unit will only work with Garmin units with the ball socket-type mounts.

Base: The non-skid base has a peel-off cover that should be removed before mounting. For best results, the dashboard should be cleaned and dried prior to installing the mount.

Customer Q&A

3 questions already asked

Does this work with the Garmin DriveSmartT 86? (It looks just like a mount I already have for an older Garmin, and the ball is much too small.)

We have not received any answers from other customers on your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help answer your question.

What are the dimensions on this product and on the portable friction (bean bag) mount? I Have a 2004 Grand Prix and dash is kind of irregular and rounded.

The mount is six and one half inches long and four and a half inches wide. It is piable and conforms to a dashboard easily. It also has a sticky base which prevents any motion. I have used it in several different cars and recommend it over the bean bag mount that it replaced.

my dash is also rounded but this mount works fine. also ur dash is much bigger than mine. This mount should work fine for you.
