Love This Watch

I got this watch primarily for tracking my runs and have been blown away. It looks great and with the circular face it's can be mistaken for a regular watch with the right band. The fitness features are great and the free Garmin app makes tracking a breeze. Built in storage for music, podcasts and audiobooks and a built it GPS makes it possible to run without your phone. Finally the battery lasts incredibly well, I usually charge my watch every 4-7 days depending on how much I am using the GPS.
Pros: Fitness Tracking Battery Life Waterproof Sleek Look Built in GPS Built in storage for music Connects to Bluetooth headphones

Garmin Venu
Crutchfield customer from Nellysford, VA on 1/23/2021
This replaced a Vivoactive, first generation. That watch purchase was made because I am a 30 year Garmin addict and wanted the compatibility with my Garmin bike computers and other outdoor GPS toys. For the watches, the evolution in technology in the last few years is staggering. I also bought a Vivoactive 4S last month for my partner who has tiny wrists, so was worried about the slightly larger face of the Venu. They seem to be functionally equivalent, although she is a bit jealous of the brighter display on the Venu. In the theme of "never too much data", both of us are allowing the watches to control our lives (in a good way).
Pros: Feature rich. Plays well with Garmin Connect (as expected) but also is easily set up to stream to Strava.
Cons: Non so far.

No Regrets, Love Love Love

I love this watch! If it continues to function in time as well as it has the first few weeks it is well worth the money! Charges fast (like less than 2 hours with under 10% charge) and battery last for days unless using a lot of music. I read some reviews on various sites that had me skeptical given the cost but now that I own the watch I've come to believe many of the complaints were a result of operator error. I had no trouble pairing Bluetooth head phones. Only down side is I have a cheaper pair that don't have a way to adjust volume and I haven't found a way to adjust volume via the watch and they seem to play at full volume which is too loud, but again my headphones were around$30 so I probably just need to invest in some higher quality headphones for that function to be included. I read reviews where you have to subscribe to spotify to use music, NOT TRUE! I've been able to download songs from my Amazon account easy peezy! Having bought a fitbit versa when they first came out for around $230 that's screen came unglued and company gave an "Oh well" apology it's over a year old we'll give you 20% off a new one even though mine was less than 2 years old, I knew I wanted something better when replaced. This is IT!!! GPS tracking is awesome too! The appearance looks so professional compared to others and even with a dainty wrist I don't find it too big or bulky. I also did invest in screen protectors to protect the investment. It's a great product!! Treat yoself!
Pros: Lots of functions, quick charging, beautiful design, GPS tracking, Can Download up to 500 songs if you don't want to carry you phone
Cons: Need phone within about 20 feet or less for notifications, only quick responses available for reply to texts, no way to adjust Bluetooth headphone volume via watch (that I know of)

First Smart Watch
Crutchfield customer from Henrico, VA on 12/12/2019
I have had two other garmin watches over the past 12 years. But this is my first smart watch and I love it! I bought it on black friday as a belated birthday present to myself and have had no issues. Easy to set-up and use. Being able to choose which smart notifications I want to receive has been awesome. I need to receive phone calls and screen my texts, and the venu allows me to do that without getting sucked into a social media vortex. As far as activity tracker, I fee like it's pretty accurate! I have not used any of the garmin workouts yet.
Pros:
Cons: Only possible con is the size. I have small wrists and it's pretty large, so it took just a bit to get used to.

Bought this for my wife and she loves it. Some of her favorite features include the stress monitoring, pushes you to be healthier, and it measures her sleeping statistics and lets you know how much deep sleep she actually got. Makes for a great gift!
