Follow along to animated exercise workouts
Looks great; easy to use
The Venu's AMOLED display does more than just look good. Its touchscreen surface gives you easy access to all of the watch's menus and functions. And if you're into customization, use Garmin's Face-it™ app to change the display background to any picture stored on your smartphone. You can even customize the display for right- and left-handed users.
Connected to your tech
Once this Garmin is paired to your smartphone, you'll receive alerts for incoming emails, calls, texts, social media, and appointments. And you can use a variety of apps from the Connect IQ store to sync up with home automation, ride-hailing apps, weather, and more. After your workout, the watch automatically syncs with the Garmin Connect™ mobile app, so you can immediately review info about your workout or activity level on your smartphone. And Garmin Connect will sync with many other popular fitness apps, so you can easily share your workouts with your friends.
Topping it off, Venu includes the Garmin Pay™ mobile payment solution. You can use it for cashless payments just about anywhere you can tap your card to pay. Whether it's a sports drink or an adult beverage, just tap and go for refreshment and more.
Preloaded sports apps
From your morning yoga class to the after-work club ride, Venu is ready to roll. It includes presets for running, swimming, strength, yoga, Pilates, rowing, and more, and you can work with Garmin Connect to create custom workouts with your own reps, sets, and rest intervals.
Heart rate monitoring
This Garmin employs wrist-based heart rate monitoring, so you're always able to tap into this vital metric. And using the data it records with its heart rate monitor, Venu estimates and tracks your VO2 max. A Pulse Ox sensor is on your wrist as well, recording altitude acclimation and helping monitor your sleep. By combining this information, Venu advises you on when it's smart to rest and when it's time to ramp up the intensity in your workouts.
Stay active and stay on track
The Venu activity tracking app records your steps and assigns you a daily step count goal to provide you with an incentive, adjusting the count as you hit your goals. And to remind you to get up from your desk, the red move bar appears on the display after 1 hour of inactivity. Since a good night's sleep will recharge you for the next day, you can use this Garmin to record your sleep patterns.

The results of your activities can be easily uploaded to the Garmin Connect online community for sharing.
Physical Attributes: The Venu features a rugged 43.2mm diameter stainless steel bezel, a fiber-reinforced polymer outer case with a polymer rear cover, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lens. The silicone band fits wrists with a circumference of 4.92" to 7.48" (125-190mm). The silicone watch band can be replaced with a wide variety of optional Quick Release Bands (20mm) available separately by Garmin.

- Band: Width 0.785" (20mm), Length 9.625"

Water Resistant: The Venu has a 5 ATM water rating, which means it can withstand pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters (164 feet). Not only can you wear the device in the rain and wet weather, you can even swim with it. It is not recommended for high-speed watersports or scuba diving. The device also has a wide operating temperature range of -4° to 140°F.
Display: The Garmin Venu has a 1.2" diameter AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. The AMOLED display is easy to see in any light. You can set the length of time before the display turns off, or choose the Always On option to keep the time of day visible. In addition to the time of day, the Venu display offers dynamic graphic screens and animated, on-screen workouts.
Wireless Connectivity: You can connect your Venu to your smartphone via Bluetooth using the Garmin Connect app to gain access to numerous connected features. You can reply to text messages and answer incoming phone calls. If you connect via Wi-Fi, you can browse and select workouts and training plans on the Garmin Connect app, available for Android (5.0 and up) and iOS (11.0 or later).

You can also download audio content to the device from your computer or a third-party provider when you smartphone is not handy. The device has storage for up to 500 songs.
High-Sensitivity GPS Receiver: The unit features a high-sensitivity GPS receiver. With multi-satellite support (GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo), the device stays locked onto satellites, even near tall buildings or under tree cover. If you're in a wide open area, you can turn off the GLONASS or Galileo options to save battery life. The Venu is also equipped with altimeter (for elevation data), barometer (showing short-term air pressure trends), and compass sensors (to keep your bearings).
Elevate Technology: The Venu is equipped with Elevate wrist heart rate technology, which monitors your heart rate without having to wear a chest strap. Whenever you wear the Venu, your heart rate is being monitored through your skin, even while you sleep. The heart rate data helps to provide an accurate reading of calories burned, and to measure the intensity of your workout.
Note: You may turn off wrist-based heart rate monitoring while wearing the optional HRM-Tri or HRM-Swim heart rate monitor.
Physiological Measurements: The Venu's Elevate wrist heart rate monitor can take physiological measurements to help you analyze your training activities and race performances. The more you use the Venu, the more accurate the estimates become, as the device learns about your activities and performances. Physiological measurement estimates include VO2 Max (oxygen consumption) and heartrate variability (stress).
Step Counter: The Venu's activity tracking feature records your daily step count, distance traveled, intensity minutes, floors climbed, calories burned, and sleep statistics for each recorded day. You can create daily goals, which are updated automatically based on your previous activity levels. Move alerts, which appear after a period of inactivity, remind you to keep moving.
Widgets: The Garmin Venu comes preloaded with widgets that put information at your fingertips. You can choose which widgets are visible in a customizable list. Some widgets are general in nature, such as Calendar, Music Controls, Notifications, and Weather. Fitness activities, including calories burned, floors climed, golf, intensity minutes, step count, and My Day (summary of your activities). The remaining widgets are health-related, including Body Battery, heart rate, hydration, menstrual cycle tracking, pulse oximeter, respiration, stress, and Health Stats (a summary of your current health statistics). Many of the widgets require the use of the Garmin Connect app.
Garmin Pay: The Garmin Venu features the Garmin Pay contactless payment solution. Garmin Pay lets you pay for purchases quickly without your wallet or phone. It works almost anywhere you can make contactless payments. All you have to do is enter your passcode, select the credit card you want to use from your virtual wallet, and hold your wrist near the card reader. Your card number is not stored on your device, or passed to merchants when you pay, so it's private and secure. Garmin Pay works with many major credit and debit cards from major banks, including Visa and MasterCard.
Rechargeable Battery: The Venu has a powerful built-in Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. A 21" data cable/charging cradle is provided for charging the battery and uploading your training data. The battery life depends upon the features you use:

The Venu is also compatible with the Garmin Approach CT10 golf club (ANT+) sensors, to automatically track your shots, including location, distance, and club type.
Swimming: You can use the device while surface swimming in a pool or open water. While pool swimming, you can enter the pool size data and keep track of the strokes, and the number of lengths (of the pool) you swam.
Skiing/Snowboarding: In Skiing and Snowboard modes, the Venu keeps track of your speed, time, distance, and total descent to calculate the number of runs you make. Auto Pause stops the timer while you're on the lift.
Sleep Tracking: The Venu's Sleep Mode can monitor your rest, and display sleep statistics such as total hours of sleep, periods of movement, and periods of restful sleep. If desired, you can use the Do Not Disturb mode to turn off the backlight and vibration alerts.

Auto Pause: You can set the Venu to pause the timer automatically when you stop moving, or when your pace drops below a specified value. This feature is helpful if you have to stop for traffic or to tie your shoe during your run.
Watch Functions: When you're not working out, the Venu can be used as a basic watch, displaying the time and date, along with an alarm and stopwatch. You can configure the watch face in a number of ways, including analog/digital, icons, style, and colors. The time is automatically set by the GPS receiver (or manually, if desired), and can be displayed in 12-hour or 24-hour format. The device can also provide local sunrise and sunset times.
Watch Faces: The Venu lets you customize the appearance of the watch face by selecting available layouts, colors, and additional data. Custom watch faces can be downloaded from the Connect IQ store.
