The best lightweight camera.
Crutchfield customer from Arverne, NY on 7/3/2021
This camera is exactly what I was looking for. Tremendous zoom length on a camera that is lightweight and easily fits in your pocket. The HX99 is a camera that does a whole lot of things without the bulk of carrying multiply lenses and doing a lot of setup. That's why I bought this camera, as something I can put in my pocket. Now it has become the only camera I use. Small, with a great zoom if I need it. I take this camera everywhere. This camera takes really good video and gets amazingly sharp photos even in the clear image zoom mode.
Pros: Great pictures and 4K video.

Great camera in a small package

Great camera! Takes a very nice picture and the quality is obviously good, as Sony is known for. My wife loves it! The camera is surprisingly small but works so greatly. You can legit zoom in and see small details from a mountain top. Just a great overall camera.

Disappointment
Sid from Kingston, NY on 2/27/2019
Still trying to work with this camera but so far I'm not liking it. In auto focus, it not easy to get it to lock in onto the subject and the moment can be lost . Just wish the focus area could be change while in auto, so far it stays in wide mode and I would like it to be centered mode so I could focus on what I want to. The pop up view finder is to close to the camera, with the view finder pulled out, my face is against the camera and feels uncomfortable. If you move at all the subject leaves view finder and goes to monitor. It does not come with a charger so when you plug direct into the camera to charge the battery something could come in contact and damage the camera. For the price of this camera I did not expect to see any issues with these basic features. Will only be a sometime backup and let wife use it for grandchildren parties.
Pros: Nice picture when auto focus locks in.
Cons: Auto focus, view finder and no AC charger.
